First minutes of show doesn't match end of WandaVision. Wanda left Agatha in role of nosy neighbor in sitcom. Now, she is a detective on a crime drama.
Wanda's original hex changed shows multiple times so that's not an issue. The hex was weakening with Wanda's death anyway Also, for Thorias's "nobody else was remembers the hex", only Agatha was in it, and it's unlikely she ever even left her house. That's why she when she escapes the hex goes from standing in the morgue to standing in her house, and why the teen who was in the "interrogation room" was actually tied up in her closet
When Agatha remembered herself, her neighbor told her it was only the last few days that she’d been speaking as though she’d been “bitten by the true crime bug.” In the years before that, she’d been the nosy neighbor. Perhaps after Wanda died, she was subconsciously trying to regain her memories.
Agatha Harkness is one of those Marvel supporting characters that's meant to be SUPPORT roles next to the headliner characters like Fantastic Four....never meant to be Lead role.
Apparently, the Funko Pops already spoiled the identity of Aubrey Plaza’s character, revealing her to be Mistress Death. And if that’s true, considering Thanos’ M.O. in the comics, I could totally understand wanting to wipe out half the universe just to clap Aubrey Plaza’s cheeks. 😂

You should definitely keep doing videos about this series. This needs to be studied and shown to future generations, to show them what not to do when writing a show
You would think that the spell Wanda put Agatha under would be damned near impossible for a novice magic user to break through; and yet, none of the witches question how it was possible for this random boy to accomplish just that. Side note: I find it vaguely disturbing that when Agatha is talking to one of her neighbors after being free from the spell - buck ass naked as she does so - that not a single one of these neighbors yell at her to get some clothes on or drag her back to her house until she does. Most they do is try to put a coat over her (which she casts off). Added creepiness is a young girl of maybe 10 or 11, looks on at the naked Agatha in wonderment, dodging her mother's attempts at shielding her eyes from the view. The kid really wanted to ogle the naked body of 50+ year old woman. Just...ew.
Wanda's death had weakened the hex; there were glimpses of Agatha bleeding through before Billy freed her Also very good chance Billy is being possessed/influenced by Agatha dead son, Nicholas Scratch
How much you want to bet that if this series can continue they will make that girl a lesbian and was being oppressed by her narrow mind, homophobic, meanie parents 😂
I think WandaVision should have ended with Wanda trying to surrender to SWORD, only for Agatha to overpower & kidnap her. She then uses the Darkhold to corrupt her & turn her into the Scarlet Witch - so we can get her villainy in Dr Strange - & her motivation could have been that she desires to create a new coven in the modern day. Just a thought, I dunno. Give Agatha more of a point to the wider MCU & make her a compelling antagonist to Wanda & the new Avengers.
Your sacrifice is appreciated. I have no idea why people keep making movies and shows about the Villains, with no heroes to interact with. We still have a Kraven movie coming out soon and I have no idea why.
Haha dude I’m so glad you watched this show for us so that none of us have to. This is the first MCU project that I completely said “nope” to😂 not now. Not ever
Thank you for not forgetting that Agatha ruthlessly killed a dog in WandaVision. I watched this show wondering how the writers could expect the viewer to have sympathy for this person. I appreciate the One More Day reference.
I thought Deadpool 3 should’ve been Disney’s chance to clean the slate. They didn’t and missed that chance. Now they are more screwed than before DP&W’s success. Marvel will never be good again as long as Disney owns it. Those “cleaning house” rumors were obviously fake.
Technically while she was evil the city only knows that the scarlet witch captured and put her their children in coma sleeps. Agatha came and tried to end the spell. Her intensions were terrible but to them she is a hero who lost.
I’m scared they gonna resurrect Wanda thus letting her get off Scott free for murdering innocents in Multiverse of Madness. That Scarlet Witch movie better not happen.
It is very obvious now that Disney's big plans for Marvel TV was exactly dumping a bunch of d-list marvel characters there and saying marvel stans will watch anything, because Marvel. After luring everyone in with the first run with actual movie stars, the series have been one bad product after another.
The "toe tag" was not a toe tag, it was the library card from the missing book. It shows that Agatha had the book before wanda did. Wanda was the last one to possess the book. The book was the darkhold.
Fair point Someone else said though that Disney+ has 150 million subscribers total and even starting that obviously that marvel isn't for all of them this is a very low number. Surprised X-Men did that little though
@@Karthig1987animation almost ALWAYS gets lower views. Bad Batch, what if, invincible, X-Men, caped crusader, etc. all get lower views than The Acolyte which was cancelled. Animation is also much cheaper than live action BUT more labor intensive
That was in the very beginning, but numbers have dropped precipitously since then. There's almost always going to be a massive influx of views when it comes to something new, but rarely can that be sustained.
Let's see how long the audience sticks around though. Correct me if I'm wrong, but The Acolyte started out with good numbers too only for the viewership to drop off a cliff once they actually saw the show.
If this was a rushed project, I could forgive Agatha turning out this way. But they had 3 YEARS!!, and this is what they give us. Is it any wonder why MCU had died? Of course there were 3 really good movies in phase 4&5. They were Spider-Man NWH. Which is apart of phase 4. Bc end game was the end of the first 3 phases. That's how it was supposed to be, so in my head canon it is. Then there's Guardians of the Galaxy. And Deadpool&Wolverine. Considering all the content in phase 4&5, 3 is a disastrous number. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. If I was involved, I'd be embarrassed of all these failures.
Agatha All Along was a great little music video, so I was confused when I saw everyone complaining about it. And then I found out the truth and WHY IS THIS A THING?
The AAA number was a fun little jingle. It was clever and charming. Even I enjoyed it. Then it got old and played out, and everyone moved on. That was a couple years ago. There's a lot less charm to be found here.

For anyone who might be interested, the Salem seven are agatha's grandchildren in the comics. They are evil as their father, who is the son of agatha. Having them hunting her to gain power for some plan could maybe work, but that would take Tallent we know.
Everyone dies by the last episode, leaving only Agatha. She reaches the end to get her wish. But gives up restored powers to revive all her "friends" (and possibly long lost son Teen/Billy).
Thorias, please look up the original comic book Salem Seven. They are all individually so different, have colorful costumes, and all kinds of fun, eclectic powers. Leave it to Disney/Marvel to make them ever so generic and bland.
(9:30) I thought you were just playing about the false reality thing, but I guess you need some help. Agata was on "auto pilot" interacting with everyone normally, and everyone thought everything was fine, until Wanda died. at that point in time, Agata became a detective in her mind, and started to act out some of the things she was seeing in her mind, in real life (like, going into a library and saying "police business". her "friends" were mostly just playing along, as they weren't sure what's going on.
"Just playing along..." with the evil witch who terrorized their community and put them all in danger a few years ago. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Why would they play along? Why not just call the authorities? Call SHIELD, call SWORD. Call Doctor Strange and tell him there's a witch who's not in her right mind in town and this might be something he'd want to look into to make sure she isn't dangerous or something. Hell, call some mental health professionals and get this woman psychiatric treatment. The fact that they did NOTHING is utterly bonkers.
@@thoriasunlimited4053 agata didn't hold them hostage, if anything, it was agata that freed them, so you can bet they'd play along. from the view point of the people of westview, wanda put a spell on them, and about a week later, agata broke free lost a fight with wanda, shield came in and did nothing but try and shoot at some kids, and than wanda left, after putting a curse on agata. none of them knew she had a killer rabbit
Saying Agatha wasn't the bad guy just because there was someone else who did worse stuff to them is kind of a stretch. If I was living in Westview, I definitely wouldn't want to be anywhere near Agatha after that, especially if I'm a dog owner.
@@thoriasunlimited4053 to be fair, odds are the dog did belong to someone thing is, no one (but us) knows about the bad things she did (and for all the people of westview know, she was under Wanda's control).
Marvel must understand, they need to stop going hard on the Disney side & let the franchise go dark. The goofyness in everything is everything wrong with marvel at this point. We can't have characters dark on the comics & clowns on screen
The cop show thing was a delusion. Her mind trying to shield itself as reality came crashing back in because that kind of trauma dump would f**k up anyone. So her mind was filtering out the information to put it back piece by piece. Wanda "stole" the only copy of the darkhold she had at the end of WandaVision, and at the end of MoM she destroyed all the copies of it in existence across the multiverse. When she remembered wanda she remembered herself. Then she had to peel back all those personalities wanda trapped her under to remember her real self. None of the other people were affected. And I HOPE that "teen" isn't Wiccan because that is NOT Wiccan's personality, but current day Hollywood views all "groups" as a monolith and every single gay guy, lesbian, black man, black woman, muslim, Chinese, Japanese, white man, and white woman all have the exact same personality with an extremely light dusting of sprinkles on top. But god I miss when Wiccan was just a guy who likes guys rather than a gay guy, and anyone like me knows the difference.
If the point of the series is that they're all terrible people, with a handful of sympathetic scenes shown to humanize but not sympathize, and we're supposed to enjoy watching bad things happen to them then maybe the premise works, but honestly not really sure what they're going for. And with all the rewrites i doubt the show runners do either. A lot of these shows are getting messed over because of rewrites due to Disney trying to corse correct since they were mostly done before the correction and had to work with what they had, so hopefully in the next year we'll start seeing more organized material again. It's possible and there will always be the "i hate Disney" bandwagon chodes that will hate it no matter what, but they've got a lot of work to get the fandom's respect back.
I'm not sure if that's the point. It seems clear that we're meant to find Agatha charmingly wacky. Despite her being an absolutely horrible person, they want us to root for her to get her magic back, so I guess that dog murderer thing is just being swept under the rug. And episode 3 tried to get us to root for the potion witch (I can't remember their names for the life of me) despite her giving zero f*cks about horrifically burning 800 innocent people. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone being queer coded is supposed to be some sort of Get Out Of Jail Free card. It certainly wouldn't be the first time we've seen that in modern media or in the comics for that matter. Hell, Mystique and Destiny are criminals/terrorists/murderers and the attitude toward them in the comics these days is "Oh, those pesky lesbians are up to something again. Run along, you little scamps." Seriously, Mystique has done some absolutely diabolical shit in the comics, but because she's lgbt, it all just gets glossed over. They explain the cop show thing. The neighbor tells Agatha that's she's been doing the cop thing for a few weeks and that people in town have just been playing along, thinking she went crazy. They're basically trying to keep in the same vein as WandaVision. That's why they give a lot of scenes that are based from other films. As far as the 'gayness' goes, they really haven't shown much. And really, does it matter? It seems like any show using homosexuality is automatically deemed as 'woke'. Not that I necessarily approve, but it is our actual reality. We have homosexuals. We have transgenders. We have this huge thing now with pronouns (I personally don't understand it). But we criticize shows for adding these elements that do exist in our world, and for some of the elements, have for many decades. Not saying that anyone has to be happy about it, but to act like those elements shouldn't exist in cinema when they exist in our lives is kind of dumb.

Agatha Harkness is one of those Marvel supporting characters that's meant to be SUPPORT roles next to the headliner characters like Fantastic Four....never meant to be Lead role.
Apparently, the Funko Pops already spoiled the identity of Aubrey Plaza’s character, revealing her to be
Mistress Death. And if that’s true, considering Thanos’ M.O. in the comics, I could totally understand wanting to wipe out half the universe just to clap Aubrey Plaza’s cheeks. 😂
It should be criminally impossible to make shows about lesbian witches that can't draw in young men, yet Disney keeps finding a way.
Maybe cuz they're accurately portraying middle aged lesbians lol
They're not offering 'em to Sydney Sweeney.
Finally you mention the Acolyte
"Teen" is definitely going to be Wiccan, who is canonically a gay character.
Probably. This kid doesn't seem to be anything like Wiccan though.

@@toxsin2207 Damn it, yes. I'm correcting it now. And I used to be good at spelling...🤣
Re: Taking their shoes off - If you pause it at the right moment you can see there's a passage that they've got to walk the road barefoot, to absorb the power, otherwise no power up... I'm guessing someone on the crew is Tarantino in their proclivities.
Nah it's from the comics that you have to traverse the witch's road barefoot
Iirc the comics in question were from like 2016?
Or like that Nickelodeon guy.
@@znerd3664 Fair enough, I never really read any of the magic based Marvel (or DC stuff) & I'd definitely given up before 2016.
You should definitely keep doing videos about this series. This needs to be studied and shown to future generations, to show them what not to do when writing a show
“Not Wanda, the other villain “. 🤣😂👍
Agitating All Along!!
Just...ew.
I'm hoping that will play into who he really is when it's revealed.
Wanda's death had weakened the hex; there were glimpses of Agatha bleeding through before Billy freed her
Also very good chance Billy is being possessed/influenced by Agatha dead son, Nicholas Scratch
Creepy writing towards minors in a Disney series? Definitely on brand for them in current year.
How much you want to bet that if this series can continue they will make that girl a lesbian and was being oppressed by her narrow mind, homophobic, meanie parents 😂
let us praise your sacrifice, sir Thorias, seeing this serial bomb for us, mere mortals, keep up the good fight

Agatha had diarrhea All Along.
Apparently, they expect us to have sympathy for her by just pretending the dog murder never happened. Well, I'm not forgetting. #JusticeForSparky
I am missing my daughter's birthday party while in the hospital, beyond depressed. Thanks for the smiles.
Marvel and Star Wars both need breaks. Long breaks.
I thought Deadpool 3 should’ve been Disney’s chance to clean the slate. They didn’t and missed that chance. Now they are more screwed than before DP&W’s success. Marvel will never be good again as long as Disney owns it. Those “cleaning house” rumors were obviously fake.
"... the villain from Wandavision? Not Wanda, the other villain." Savage. Genuine lol.
Can you review The Penguin? It looks to be quite good.
Technically while she was evil the city only knows that the scarlet witch captured and put her their children in coma sleeps. Agatha came and tried to end the spell. Her intensions were terrible but to them she is a hero who lost.
This was great!
I’m scared they gonna resurrect Wanda thus letting her get off Scott free for murdering innocents in Multiverse of Madness. That Scarlet Witch movie better not happen.
Why not? She already died to face her consequences. Anakin Skywalker came back to life after killing a room full of kids and people were cool with it
I still don't know what she sacrificed for them.
@@haroldb1856 she sacrificed her happy false reality and her family contructs.
The show ain't my cup of tea but to say NOBODY is watching when it got almost 9 million views is crazy. That's 5 million more than X-Men 97 got.
Fair point
Someone else said though that Disney+ has 150 million subscribers total and even starting that obviously that marvel isn't for all of them this is a very low number.
@@thoriasunlimited4053 TRUE. You right, you right.... We'll see.....
Disney are gonna potentially ruin Mephisto. Just like they are gonna ruin Galactus and Doctor Doom.
I'd be amazed if they actually introduce Mephisto properly. The namedrop was just fanservice that the showrunners had previously said was coming. Iirc there's an issue with airing films in China that include the devil so Mephisto is most likely still off the board
@@znerd3664 I thought Chinese have their own religion. Why are they so sensitive towards supernatural stuff?! For anyone who might be interested, the Salem seven are agatha's grandchildren in the comics. They are evil as their father, who is the son of agatha.
Having them hunting her to gain power for some plan could maybe work, but that would take Tallent we know.

I’d rather Paramount buy back Marvel and for John Lassenter to replace Kevin Feige.
I understand Paramount owning Marvel but why hire John Lassenter?
ABSOLUTELY HILLARIOUS TAKE!!! WELL DONE SIR!!

I thought you were just playing about the false reality thing, but I guess you need some help.
@@thoriasunlimited4053
agata didn't hold them hostage, if anything, it was agata that freed them, so you can bet they'd play along.
from the view point of the people of westview, wanda put a spell on them, and about a week later, agata broke free lost a fight with wanda, shield came in and did nothing but try and shoot at some kids, and than wanda left, after putting a curse on agata.
none of them knew she had a killer rabbit
Saying Agatha wasn't the bad guy just because there was someone else who did worse stuff to them is kind of a stretch. If I was living in Westview, I definitely wouldn't want to be anywhere near Agatha after that, especially if I'm a dog owner.
@@thoriasunlimited4053
to be fair, odds are the dog did belong to someone
thing is, no one (but us) knows about the bad things she did (and for all the people of westview know, she was under Wanda's control).
"Diverse witch"?
This isn’t the worst MCU Disney+ show, but it’s definitely not something I would go back and watch again
Marvel must understand, they need to stop going hard on the Disney side & let the franchise go dark.
The goofyness in everything is everything wrong with marvel at this point.
We can't have characters dark on the comics & clowns on screen
I'ts made for an Audience that loves things like Halloweentown, HocusPocus and Harry Potter.
Charmed on Disney. Charmed on boxed wine. That's what this is.
You know something was exhausting to watch, when Thobrias doesn't even add a dig at TH-cam at the end...
Maybe if Agatha didn't spend the whole show gurning like a pantomime villain...
Best case, the final episode ends with the two guys from Supernatural showing up to town...then credits.
This review was hilarious i need you to do episode 4
AY UP THORIAS
And they’re still trying to make Ironheart a thing.
At least they had enough sense to keep the Ironheart show on the shelf for the last two years.
Wasn’t Aubrey Plaza in Legion, another MCU tv show?
Yes. Marvel-ish, but not MCU.
But we shouldn't talk about that.
😉
You and Disparu make this show so damn funny!!
So it's like Willy Wonka? But witches and a spooky "yellow brick road" instead of misbehaved kids. Is teen Charlie then?
So far, it seems like the same thing in this show.
@@thoriasunlimited4053 wdym because they are lgbt? Norman, octavius, and even Thanos get away with their exploits and they aren't lgbt? Norman convinced everyone he was a hero as iron patriot and people fell for it. Octavius became a "better" Spider man than Peter. And Thanos is treated like a mischievous scamp all the time despite being a planetary threat and even galaxy wide terror he's caused

Agatha was the only one locked in the reality. Spoiler kid did go into the reality to save Agatha or something. Seems the towns people were humoring her or something Tho. They weren't in the reality..
Why humor her after she went full blown super villain at the end of Wandavision though? Wouldn't they want to get the hell away from her after that? AS loath as I am to defend this show, sorcery and witchcraft have been established to not be the same thing
And? The kid said that he learned what he knows about magic by studying. Strange learned sorcery the exact same way. He also says that he wants to "blast, shield and levitate" - all things that can also be done with? You guessed it... sorcery!
They don't seem so different to me.
Idc . I’m done with the MCU. Been done with it awhile now. Just let it die.
After Thanos it's pointless. They should have left on a high note and then start making disconnected superhero movies. Anything they make is going to be bloated with baggage if they keep up this MCU charade

Agatha was traped in a hex alone. It was all in her head. The other people of Westview were not in the hex at all. Agatha merely percieved them as playing characters in the alternate reality she was trapped in. From everyone else's perspective, Agatha was talking nonsense all the time, and they were just humoring her.

I try.
Ok I will be completely honest with you, while I’m aware this and Vision Quest is part of a Trilogy and Marvel needs to go on a Darker Route, I have no idea why this Freaking Series was Greenlight, there’s no Potential in this, for crying out loud Agatha was always a Side Character that only works as a Supporter like Midnight Sons or as a One Time Antagonist, not the Main Character of a Limited Series with Scaped Titles that are Better than All Along, I got so Bored it reminded me of the She-Hulk Series that I’m wondering if the Same Mid Age Female Writers are responsible for this, don’t get me wrong I’m aware there’s Comic Easter Eggs and the Teen and Latina with the Black Heart are the Only Solid Things along the 2nd Episodes being better than the First, the rest feels like a Waterdown Experiment nobody asked and the Budget was completely wasted as they could’ve used it to literally something else in the MCU, sadly there’s 7 Episodes Left for you to watch Gio so Good Luck on this Witches Road and Defending the Wrong Gotham Knights, for Christ Sake’s the Game is Better than the CW Monstrosity.
cant wait for the next one
