So the lesson from Blood Origin, Rings of Power, and Willow is if your not going to respect the source material don’t bother making a prequel/sequel in the first place
But at least the other two don't have a budget at half billion

In Willow, loved how they spent an entire episode trying to get into a room with a locked black huge wooden door. Then when they finally get the door open the camera slowly starts to look inside, then stops and everyone is standing outside. No one says what it in the room, why they wanted to get in there. -_- Hahahahaha.
Basically, batwhaman is the inspiration for every upcoming fantasy / superhero tv show.
Moral of the story.
Turn off the tv, play video games, read normal books, manga and french bande dessines
play *normal video games. As if most big gaming companies werent all woke either these days. Corporate greed is just also more visible and rampant. And hating their players just as much as these show writers.
Said it before, I'll say it again: increasingly, I think a lot of these activist "creators" are realizing the days of companies giving unending money and freedom are almost over, and they're using the last bits of those powers to recklessly spite either the fans or their bosses bank accounts. Honestly, stuff like Blood Origin, it sounds like they're not even putting in a token effort anymore.
i disagree. I think they can do stuff like firing Mr Cavill then accusing him (without anyone coming forward nor any police reports filed) of sexism and harassment and misogyny BECAUSE they are so self assured that the good times for them will never end. With stuff like Blood Origin and She Hulk, these people are PROUD of themselves and have full media and internet support as they change everything of the origins to INTENTIONALLY "troll" haters. "owning" haters and incels is even MORE important to them than if the project succeeds, since they know they're not going to get fired or anything bad will happen to them.
I'm sure it'll comfort them when they are working at Starbucks or sucking off the homeless for spare change

The cut from 6 to 4 (mostly for budgetary reasons) was put forward about a week before production wrapped, and then confirmed while it was in post.
They shot one or two revised scenes for the last episode with Lenny Henry and the Empress lady and the rest is what they'd already done.

@@reginaphalange9417 Nope. They ran out of money and just bodged it together to put it out. That's why most of the CGI, comping, greenscreen and added scenery suck so bad. It was done as cheaply and quickly as possible.
What I learnt from 2022:
Talent is no longer needed. What matters... is to push "The Message". It's no longer about hiring talented people with a great vision and who are also FANS of said source material ready to ENTERTAIN you. If you tick those precious political boxes, there you go. You get Blood Origin, Willow and Rings of Power.
And we thought we couldn't possibly get shows worse than Batwoman. How wrong I was...
If you notice; none of these IPs are original; they're just taking/hujacking preestablished IPs and railroading through them in their own image; so there's no passion for said work since they never created it to begin with.

Everyday I feel more and more grateful that I don't even think of watching these kinds of shows.
Dude, that review had a lotta punch. It was a thing of aural beauty. I'm still howling with laughter. Happy (tardy) New Year! We all hope this next year isn't as bad as it looks like it's going to be.
I'm daydreaming of what might have been if a competent team that respected the lore had decided to do a genuine Witcher prequel about the Conjunction of the Spheres and/or Bloody Falka. Same as if a competent team that respected the lore had made The Silmarillion.
Oh god yes.. the back story of the Conjunction of the Spheres, humans being tossed into an alien world along with a lot of VERY nasty monsters that kept wanting to turn them into breakfast, desperately surviving even with help from the Elves to learn magic, and finally pouring all of their knowledge in combat, magic and alchemy to create Witchers to finally be able to handle said monsters...even if it was made to a mediocre quality I would still watch something with THAT kind of epic story. Not this half-assed Blood Origin bullshit they shat out.
Falka would be just misendurstood freedom fighter and not bloodhirsty maniac as was stated in books

I hope you do a full Willow review. I dropped off after episode 4. I’ve gotten more entertainment out of people reviewing that dumpster fire than actually wasting time watching Willow. Best to wash it out of my brain and forget it happened.

It was pretty bad to start, but when they killed off Silas i was like well i'm good. They killed off one of the chars i actually liked and that was a scale tipped way to far.

Nah. The Starship Troopers movie was awesome. You can get some great millage out of a spoof. But first you NEED to be aware you are making a spoof. Trying to make a genuine adaptation and throwing spoof energy into it, is just crap.

I remember you saying in one of your videos you havent watched Lucifer on Netflix. I would recommend it actually. I enjoyed the show through all 6 seasons and Tom Ellis is the man. I hope it will help you regain some sanity after the putrid shows you had to endure in 2022

I'll never forget when i left the theater after seeing the last jedi.
I was angry, i felt numb with hate, betrayed.
So i went and talked to oneof the employees at the theater and we discussed just how awful that movie was for 30 minutes.
I had to get it out of my system or i would have smashed something
Felt nothing after I watched it and the more I thought about the more I hated it.
Canning it forever and call it a day - I completely agree this is what Netflix should have done to this abomination.
Even more so than other abysmal endeavors of 2022, this one was an actual offense to human sentience.
Michele Yeoh tried her best (as she always does), but some scripts are impossible to redeem...and this is one of them. I bet she made them pay her in advance.

But you managed to sound like you did some serious work, ans in the end you managed to catch my attention totally to the point which I'm gonna have a go at your channel see if I can find other interesting things.
Perhaps Netflix can 'excel': get Uwe Boll to do a Bloodrayne TV series 'starring' Ben Kingsley as 'angry wooden statue vampire lord' (reprising his role in the original film)

The thing I find amusing about the finale is -spoilers-
the show goes “I hope you weren’t too invested in all that political intrigue and logistics we put forth in episode 1 and 2” because the last episode ends with the characters killing the bad guys and leaving to go back to living in the middle of no where. So we’re just expected to believe the empire runs itself now. It just feels very shallow. And of course, this story is supposed to inspire the elves to rebel against the humans and give them hope, when really the humans are barely in the story and the situation is a result of the elves’ short sightedness and greed. The humans and monsters had nothing to do with the conjunction of spheres.

My brother who said "Rings of Power" is not that bad, gave up after 7 minutes of "Blood origins"
For your comment about not knowing the lore of the Witcher before watching Blood Origins, it can be summed up very easily.
The things they got right: There is a world that does not have humans in it, instead elves are the primary dominant race, and then there's a Conjunction of the Spheres.
They utterly fucked up EVERYTHING ELSE! EVERY. SINGLE. THING.
The year of the Conjunction (1500 years before the main Witcher story/games, not 1200), who created the first Witchers (humans, not elves, several centuries after humans showed up), why they were created (so that humans could actually start properly surviving against the very nasty monsters that also showed up during the Conjunction as standard mages and soldiers couldn't handle that kind of endless tracking and combat), Dwarves being an actual completely separate species WITHOUT pointy ears instead of simply shorter Elves...they got it ALL WRONG.

I remember finishing the second season of The Witcher and before the credits end we get this little preview about Blood Origin, I was like "wait this does not look like anything I'm familiar with the games and books" and thought it was weird... didn't think it would ever be this bad.

I liked season one after I understood the time frames. And I was like, okay, they needed to find themselves here. So season two will be more coherent, characters are established and all. This could be good.

wait until you realize that this is not even how the Witcher was created spelled out in the novels multiple times. So the Writer changed the lore that really served no purpose at all.
