The great advantage of the pressure fan over the thumb fan, from a magician's perspective, is the level of control it gives you over the spacing between the cards, making it easier to hide slugs (pre-arranged sequences) by making the spacing too tight for anyone to read the card values - while loosening up and increasing the spacing for the rest of the fan. You can even hide whole portions of the deck being *face-down* in this way, and make it look like you're casually showing the faces of all the cards. It's a great move.
Thank you so much for the tutorial!! Literally the hardest Cardistry moves for me are the pressure moves, pressure fan, under pressure, and lepaul spread! Can never get any of them down, so I’m really glad you made this!
I can definitely relate, and I was actually on the same boat for a while until I really started working strengthening my hand practicing under pressure
My grip strength in general is really good, comparing to other people, so this is one of the easiest flourishes for me, plus it looks super cool. Great tutorial!
Thanks for this excellent tutorial. The tips really helped improve my fan, especially the finger placements, and where you use the two fingers to finish the spread at the end. And those Mints really look sharp. (Road to 8.888!)😎
Good tutorial. The best thing about the pressure fan is that you can use an old deck and it still look nice. Good luck using an old deck trying to do a thumb fan because it won't spread nicely. I also spent a lot of time learning the under-pressure fan as well. The problem with these 2 very cool looking fan is that IT WILL RUIN YOUR CARDS. So don't use your expensive cards while practicting these 2 fans.
You guys are so right. I keep a couple of older decks handy, mainly to practice flourishes that will ruin cards, like Pressure Fan, Under Pressure, Compression.... The quality decks feel so good to handle, and it can be heartbreaking when they get damaged.
@@michaelp1496 Yep, ruined a few good decks doing the under-pressure fan. I had to use plastic cards to practice as a result. Worked almost as good as regular cards but NO BEND or crease on the plastic cards. Mind you, I used Bicycle Prestige plastic cards. These PRESTIGE cards are AMAZING!
@@hanzelnuts8446 I had no idea you could do decent fans with plastic cards. Tried them out once in a store, and they seemed too slippery for cuts. But I will have to check out the Bicycle Prestige ones.
@@michaelp1496 Wait, let me clarify. I only said the Bicycle Prestige is good for practicing the pressure fan and the under-pressure fan, not your thumb fan. Plastic cards are horrible for thumb fans. I took out my Pretige deck right now to do the under-pressure fan and pressure fan. I haven't done the under-pressure fan with these cards for over a year and it still comes out great. I only recommend the racing looking Blue or Red Bicycle Prestige that comes in that fancy black case. The purple and green Prestige IMO isn't that great. If you are in the States, Walgreen always had a sale on the Prestige and other Bicycles after Thanksgiving. It's either BOGO free or BOGO 50%. It's a good sale if they have in stock.
Great question. I would recommend practicing with a used deck to prevent damage to your nicer cards, but after you get it down, a newer deck would work really well!
OMG!!!!!! I just asked for this in the comments in one of your last videos. Thanks a lot. #Roadto9K And another question do we need a good deck for this????
You're welcome! I would actually recommend using a cheaper deck at first, just until you actually learn this. Otherwise you will ruin your cards. Hope that helps!
I can't do what you're doing at the 3:19 part. The right fingers remain on the cards and the cards just bend together, I can't get them to separate. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
This may help a little: As you squeeze (or apply pressure to) the deck, try to angle at which you're squeezing the deck. That should help you out a little.
There will not be a tutorial released for that ACAAN because I the trick available for sale and I will not be revealing it. However, I did not accurately depict the trick so I would not recommend purchasing the trick based on my performance
I'm sorry, I can't do that, it's not my trick and it is available for purchase so I cannot make a tutorial for it. I would also like to note that it does not work exactly like how I performed it
That's actually what I used to think, and that's why I could never learn it at first. You gotta be careful about the little things here and there in addition to that!
It will probably be a while, I would actually recommend learning it from chris ramsay's channel as it is taught by the original creator there (Dave Buck)

Great tutorial. This is the one fan I have been trying to get down for forever so I can relate to your experience.
Thanks man! It took waay too long for me to learn this lol
Thanks for this video on the pressure fan. I have done once by accident and I could not figure it out again. Now I can see what I was doing wrong.
I’m really glad that this was able to help!
@@CardMechanic I am still working on it.
Great tutorial. I am right now struggling with this move, but hope to get this down, after this tutorial ♥️❤️👍😇

Yup I can definitely agree, do not use nice cards for practice, I ruined a deck myself lol

I usually spring cards off my thumb. Am I actually springing them off the fingers in the opposite direction?
This is one i wanna get... Better with newer or older cards?

Brilliant move and tutorial sir 👍🏼👍🏼🥳🥳🥃🥃🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thank you kindly!
Beard coming homie
Haha yup, that’s what happens when I don’t shave often lol

I think we are all being greedy asking it 😈😈😈

Just telling
I have a older deck like 6 months or 1 year maybe. Can u give me a deck of cards?? 😅😅😅
I don’t mind sending your an older deck, but the issue is the shipping costs
Ouh so basically just do a spring slowly and fan it right?XD
