How to spot fake Chinese knockoff fuel injectors from OEM

- Chinese knockoffs have flooded the market over the last decade or so. A simple rule of thumb is if you find a set of injector for around $40.... they are more than likely FAKE. Here is a video showing how to spot the differences to look for.

The knockoffs just aren’t worth it. Injectors are just too important for performance.
ok, until you find out the price of original coil, injector, plugs x 6, x 1.5 more for labor, with that bill, you're better off buying a newer car, not have to be brand new.
@@sanBastian123 just service the old ones, fresh seals and an ultrasonic bath. Good as new most cases!

Is something considered fake when it still performs a basic task? Or only if it’s filled with used pinball machine parts?
When the "basic task" isn't performed properly, it's a problem. When something is intentionally made to appear to be something it isn't is what constitutes fake.
Incorrect amounts of fuel can lead to a lean condition.
In my case, one had the tip was poorly fitting and thus gas leaked out into the engine from the outside. That leads to a no start when hot.
Even without the leak, engine was running lean.
The China knockoffs run rich in my 900xp. took em out when my plugs went a carboned up.

Me too i just got a mk4 1.8t with knock off 440cc injectors and i didnt even know they were fake till one stopped working @CORRADOVRT
All I learned is that the knockoffs cost me less money on gas and have a barely noticeable difference for 70% less.

I the weight you say, weigh more or less? The ones on eBay I can't tell the difference between Bosch or the China junk, except the money you pay. Might be the only way.
Why do you all let China via Ebay and Amazon get away with this nonsense?
How do you suggest We stopped the entire CCP, Communist Chinese Party from allowing these to be produced when the majority of their economy relies on ripping off other people?

@@fernandohood5542 not every injector sold on eBay or Amazon is fake. You have to use your head. People buy a set of 8 injectors for $59 and then are surprised they are fake. Come on...
