Right there with you - I had a rough hop landing from not staying on the gas - rebuild taking long time, more about making some build change decisions on my flexwing trike. Cheers
I had to land in a yard yesterday Only on direction in and one out. I got to tell you I was a bit fast and I was really glad I have brakes. I skidded like a pup on a big wheel but daedalus sure nuff stopped. Glad to hear your rethinking whoa and brakes for real.
Hindsight is 20/20 and great when you learn from it. Second chances don't often come to a lot of pilots! I am a lucky one with several second chances and now retired from it! Good luck with it!
Thank God for those bent tubes! All that energy spent bending tubes relieves your body from impact and injury. I bent the landing gear ony airbike during an emergency landing due to am engine out a few months ago. Fortunately I was able to flip it into some tall grass and it really cushioned me to a stop with no additional damage! Fly safe brother.
Yeah the way that this was designed is impressive how the energy goes into the tubes and tubes go outward. Glad to hear it you didn’t get hurt with your incident. Do you have video of it?
@@UltralightAirplaneDriver I have some shot from the ground, no cameras on board unfortunately! I plan to recap what happened, what i did right, what i could have done better, etc.
@UltralightAirplaneDriver I liked your plane very much.I work on a similar one.I want you to help .I want you to give me the sizes related to it.Thanks.
Been there done it.. I've got metal in both feet, my leg and back, I can say I know what it's like being in a wheelchair.. keep on flying bud, it's a thing I will never stop doing..
It was definitely disappointing that it took you so long to share what happened a lot of time people are able to learn from understanding others mistakes. we all make mistakes but as long as we learn from them and better yet have an opportunity to help others learn then it wasn't for nothing. Good luck to Ya and I'm glad you're on the right track to getting it back together.
So you subconsciously got too slow, trying to make your landing as short as possible and ran out of energy. Glad you were low enough. You know what they say: any landing you can walk away from...

would be cool to do a few videos from damaged, to disassembly, to repair....
Yeah but when I start doing those videos I kind of suck at them because I just want to get it back together 😄

Super glad to see you’re none the worse for wear physically bro.

Why does your airspeed indicator alway seem to read very slow?
I don’t have one on this craft
@@UltralightAirplaneDriver Yeah, my bad, it's on the blue one you were flying!

So who is the inept parts purveyor? Support bad enough to consider another brand?
Air-tech is where I get the parts

I'm kinda confused. Did you wreck your plane after your trip to Louisianna?
Yes the incident happened after the trip down south.

Is a good one is what they say. But I want my landings to be good enough I can use the craft right after the landing 🙂
