- In this video I'll finish up logging off the spruce swamp for now. I'll be using the Timberjack skidder and pulling out the logs we bunched up with the excavator. Unfortunately we didn't get film which bunching with the excavator as there was a malfunction with the camera or the operator ( me ). I made what I could with the film I had I hope you all enjoy.

Where is you're hard hat ? Dont value life much ! Al it takes is one top or branch to come down. I've worked in the woods my whole life and those timber jacks are one tough skidder . drove a 240 for yrs . only way to run that Detroit is to the floor lol . stay safe woodchuck 😎💪👍
there should be lots of good firewood there with the dead limbs and branches. it is a lot of work for little gain but does make for got kindling and small fire wood for the warmer days when only a little fire is needed

how many ton can it pull
Pulling ability is relative to conditions. Flat dry ground you can pull a truck load of logs in 3 to 4 skids but those ideal conditions are few and far between. Only real way to know would be to hook it to a weight sled and see. Sorry I can't be more specific. Thanks for watching.
You should go to your back logs first u will ruin main line
I always choke the back log first the main line then runs through the eye on the preceding chokers till they run collect at the back choker on the main line and pulls the skid up to the skidder. Thanks for watching.
