Grew up in northern Vermont. I’ll never forget getting off the school bus in 1974 and hearing a screaming engine noise in the nearby woods. I was in total awe seeing a red timberjack cable skidder snaking its way through the mud.

I can remember the old timberjack skidders they was orange w the gm diesel engines and they were all cable skidders back then they make w a grapple on them I haven't seen them maybe a pic a few times I 😊😊 knew a fellow just down the road he had a logging crew and that was what he used was timberjack skidders I can still remember them from when I was a kid and alit of them also was used 2 pull logs 2 the sawmill 😊😊 OMG 3 14 2O24

Brother n law still runs 3 460s in south eastern ky. They have a newer cat 535 and it usually stays parked at the sawmill.
