Loui's in Hazel Park is the original Buddys n Shields chef that started it all when he was 17 years old . He's recipe got the blue ribbon . Buddys is riding on his blue ribbon winner all these years !!!!!
I so miss Loui's Pizza; went there all the time growing up in "The D". It is awesome pizza; another good place for pizza is Mama Rosa's in Grosse Pointe.
I don't know why, but it annoys me to see news casters stuffing their faces...maybe i'm just jealous because I've been wanting some of this Detroit pizza
It's possible he said 'deck oven' which it is (as opposed to a conveyor), but it is definitely not a brick oven. Whatever it is, those ovens bake pizza gold.
