  • Comparison review of Eduard Bf 109 G6 from "Bf 109G-5 & Bf 109G-6 Gustav Pt.1" boxingand Tamiya Bf109G6 after I have built both of them. Both kits are very recent (this comparison done in 2024) Tamiya being from 2019 and Eduard 2023. Both are excellent kits and I could build either of these again...
    I have done also part comparison video, but only after I have built both you can say which goes together better and gives better overall feeling.
    Watch also both of the build videos:
    Eduard: • Messerschmitt Bf 109G-...
    Tamiya: • Messerschmitt Bf 109G-...

    Great work, thanks! I guess it just depends on what you want in your build.
    I hope you'll do a comparison between the Eduard and Arma P-51Ds one day.

      Thanks! Perhaps there will be comparison between those, but surely there will be comparisons and builds in future.

    Very fair judgement in a close competition. Thanks for an interesting og well produced comparison👍

    "many unused parts" is a con? really? I guess it's for you youngsters who want all in one place, but back in the day (and I still do it) we filled boxes plenty of "spare parts" which just could be of use any other time 😂😂. BTW, Eduard decals aren't "badly printed", they are just the wet transfer kind which they use since ~3 years ago by default. Once placed on the model, and preferably plastic cover removed (which you can let if you feel uneasy removing), they look more than good

      Nowadays excessive use of plastic is bad 😂. I have worked with Eduard decals earlier (P-51 and Tornado) removed top carrier film etc but on this is the first time that I noticed bad printing (I don't know if it can clearly seen in video)...

    Great little video- thanks. As you say, the Tamiya only has one variant- doesn't even have the flat plate head armour. I still think the Tamiya shape is better, but I'm picking hairs.

      Thanks! As you can see they are both exellent models. In my eyes both look Bf 109, but If in you r opinion Tamiya looks better shape You should take that one..

    The Tamiya kit will definitely cost less than the Eduard one, so it is the best.

      But you got two full kits with photo etch and masks with Eduard...

      @@TV-ez4md I don't use any kind of additional parts and if there aren't any in the box it's better because not only does it mean that the kit costs less but also that building the model will be easier

      @@sonosoloio you can just buy the Eduard weekend edition then, its MUCH cheaper than the tamiya one

      @@sonosoloio I see your point. If you want an easy to build model definately go with Tamiya one, you won't be disapointed!

    Eduard es superior pero requiere mayores habilidades de modelista

      Eso es cierto, pero no es necesario rellenar ni lijar en absoluto.

    Tamiyas Bf.109G-6 is WAY better than Eduard because it is the most shape and size accurate Bf.109G-6 kit on the market, while Eduard is the worst one in this discipline.
    Who needs those options and surface details if the model is screwing inaccurate and resembles Bf.109G-6 from relatively far distance only?

      Thanks for the comments! To my eyes both look like Bf109g-6..

      Go check you eyesight, you're confusing a 1:48 Eduard rendition in a first batch which had some issues consequently corrected in a retooling way back ago with this one. The 1/72 one is a new tool from some months ago, and one next to the other look quite the same but Eduard looks nicer with the lowered control surfaces option available which I would had to scratch build myself anyway.

    • @gadeeshi
      @gadeeshi หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@sildurmank Eduard has not corrected shape issues for their Bf.109F and G even in the second series of their kits in 1/48. The same cross-sections, spinner size, landing gear position, canopy and all the other mistakes are in place.
      I was thinking that 1/72 is just a downscale of their 1/48 3D-models for tooling (which is logical from technological point of view). I can be wrong about 1/72 though, but I think that there are no miracles existing in this world...

      @sildurmank หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@gadeeshi If you say so, Ok, I think F-G 48th models are quite nice as they are, even though you're plenty of aftermarkets as always. But no, the 72 new tool isn't just a downsized version of the 48th one, how could it be since number of pieces for the same builds and shapes are different as it can be seen here. It's a completely new tool, Eduard is using that option a lot recently
