This channel audio test is necessary when you repair your headphones to make sure the sound is correctly divided between the channels. I always use left & right sound test when install or replace old, broken 3.5mm stereo or 3.5mm 4 pole jack/plug or when repair/fix and replace broken headphone cable. I hope that this stereo channel test useful.

look into settings. maybe in mono
2 options: you probably set your device audio to mono via your settings / the earphone has only 1 input line which means it was made to be mono, but since your device is set to stereo only one side is given to each input lines and only one of them can be detected by your earphone

I think it's because the main speaker is supposed to be the right one. But mine flips a coin everyday, and there's nothing I can do to fix it, even bending the cable 361°.

For some reason it’s super satisfying when one side doesn’t work as well as the other. Isolating it feels so nice. It’s like you’re cleaning it out. I can’t explain it.
I don't know why, but the first time I hear the difference makes my eye water on whichever side is playing.
This also brings back memories of my school's recording studio when I balanced a recording.

Just got new speakers. This is the fourth test (video) I ran. Swapped L/R speakers multiple times. The same speaker always sounds a little lower than the other. Returning these speakers. Thanks for this.
Ok so all joking aside I love this video simply because it's on shorts and I can let it auto play over and over while fixing my shit and then give it a thumbs up and close the video and go back to the sound clip I was listening to.

very smart test. on my speakers, the drums are more clear on the right damaged speaker and the guitar on the left damaged speaker. simple tone test would not have shown this distinction. it's like having an amiga again!

When i tested that my headphones worked and instead started vibing
Changed the eartips to 2 different shades of black to identify the sides as mine is a simple generic earphone(not angled or written L or R)

Turns out, this was the video I learned that the iPhone speakers near the home button don’t get split left and right, but the bottom speakers are left speakers and the top speaker near the selfie camera is the right speaker.

Since I lost a little of hearing in my left ear, it sounds more fire in my right. It felt like air left my left and right ears

The sound that is not of drums is very different in both. It is very intense in left earphone and feels like really piercing the ear(very uncomfortable), but alright in right side. These are jbl c200si and these are brand new🥲

Theres something weird going on with my headphones. It sound good until it randomly decides to sound bad. When it sound bad, its like a determined frequency or "direction" is missing. Cant really figure out what it is. In this video, for example, when both headphones are playing it sounds on low volumne but when any of the sides is playing it sounds on both ears but slightly louder

This is better than some of the others I can tell it's not that one is quite more than the other it's just one ear plays different frequency's than the other.

Ok so this depends on yur audio settings and if u got mono enabled, if you dont & it still plays in both yur headphones dont have L&R channels if it does and u notice u are using em the right way but the audio is reversed then your headphones weren't wired up right from manufacturer
