Hang in there, I understand believe me, after two (in essence) transmissions myself, but the "wait" IS worth it. When you drive that girl and have all that amazing power / enjoyment, the smile WILL return to your face. Our circumstances keep running in similar parallel, I have to build my wheel stands next too, then do my welded in sub connectors. Kudos!
I just realized your tag said Blount County. I'm in Blount County, too! Cool! Live over off Montvale. I'm building my 92 Z28. Just watched your SFC video and want to go the same route.
Nice work on the car stands. Some higher ramps are in my future. Those little plastic things just don't get the car high enough to be comfortable under there. Hoping the transmission woes are over with soon and you can take the Camaro out for a real rip. Look forward to seeing the exhaust getting fixed too. Be safe and stay well.
Hopefully the transmission will work with the new harness. If not I may just put the manual back in and try to get it going that way. Thanks for watching Brian.
That was the same problem we had with our stands... always a pain putting the car up on and taking it off of them.. They are nice for trans removal/replacement and setting up/tightening suspension since the weight is on.
I made some the other day, 27 x 19 for the 20" wheels on my truck. Added a board in the middle all the way, and a 3 1/2" block between each long board. Should hold a tank.
It's sitting in the floor. I need a different shifter and that 12" clutch disk before it goes back in. That's like $800 that I just don't have right now.
I know what you mean, I get into a project expect it to last a day, then a week later still running into small thing's like not enough bolt's, too short, to long by two threads ah,doing a great job, all the best to you and your loved ones
I have considered making a removable extension. I don't use the standard very often but the wood would be better than nothing. Thanks for watching and commenting.
They held the car for almost a month. I just took the car down yesterday with no drama. I was sceptical as to how well they would work at first but now I'm a believer.

I'm so ready to finally enjoy the car. I'm sure I'll get there soon but it is frustrating sometimes. Thanks for watching Dave.
Awesome stands brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT
Thanks Tim!
Good idea I always wanted some of them lol
Great job. I need some myself.
Well worth the time and money. Thanks for watching.
Definitely a long reach 4ton Hein Werner floor jack , and you’d be in heaven, nice job
I just bought this one. I thought 23" would be enough but I guess I was wrong. Thanks for watching.
Put 2x4’s all the way across on one side then weld flat plates on bottom of your jack stands and you can get it up real high . That’s how I did mine
My jacket can't go any higher than it already is. I would need a crane or something. 😂
You can chop your wood fast!!... lol. I'm wanting to build those too for mine real soon.
You've got to be quick with the wood. 😂 I've been wanting a set for a long time. Glad I finally built them.
The LEDs on the Maro look sick brotha!
Thanks they are one of my favorite things I've done to the car.
@@ForsakenSteel yeah it really adds to the look of it!

Well it's a small world after all. Hopefully I'll be ripping around this Camaro soon. If you see me out wave me down.
@@ForsakenSteel will do! I'm in a red 92 Z28

I'm glad I have them but it's definitely a pain. I'm thinking about making a "tall" saddle for my floor jack to make it easier.

ive seen some wooden builds turned sideways but i guess wheel is wider than build
Nice job one day I may do something similar but with cement build a ramp or may be just dig a hole lol
It would have been cheaper for sure. 😂
@@ForsakenSteel 😂😂😂😂😂
What happen with cd009 ?

Always wanted to build them but scared to get under the car with them lol.
I'm living dangerously. 😂

It's all part of building custom cars but it can get frustrating. Thanks for watching Donald.
Nice stands! 👍👍
Thanks Rich!
Now you need to build a wooden camero
I'm going to pass. 😂
Add 1 block to your jack first

You learned everything from a guy leaned against a shade tree having a drink and smoking a cigarette? So.... You learned everything from your Dad?
It was my uncle.
I'm just saying there's no training here Also maybe the things I'm doing aren't exactly the right way. 😂
I wouldn't trust those AT ALL.
