    I wonder if by the time all this was put to paper, the romans had influenced the tale by having Paris/Alexander nursed by a Bear, similar to how Romulus and Remus were nursed by a wolf, granted they're not the same but still a big similarity especially coming from a civilization claimed to be descended from Trojan survivors of the war.

    Kinda sad when you realize that Troy and its people were good and innocent, but got destroyed because of two very spiteful goddesses.
    Well. One was spiteful amd the other one had a superiority complex but you know what I mean.

    • @omniavanitas7893
      @omniavanitas7893 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Uhh no? Troy was destroyed because a Trojan prince violated the laws of hospitality, kidnapped the wife of a powerful Achaean king, stole various valuables from the king's home, brought the woman to Troy and refused to give her back.
      Troy was destroyed because all the suitors of Helen vowed to support and defend the honour of Helen's chosen husband, who turned out to be Menelaos.
      Troy was destroyed because it was a powerful and ritch city with a good geographical placement and the Greeks coveted it.
      Troy was destroyed as part of Zeus's plan to separate gods from mortals permanently, end the heroic age and lighten the burden of Gaia who was suffering under the weight of too many humans.
      But yeah, Hera and Athene are totally the ones to blame. Not Aphrodite though, even though she orchestrated the elopement of Helen and Paris.

    Oenone deserved a million times better than Paris. From what I know, she was a Naiad (water nymph) or Oread (mountain nymph) who was particularly unique in the sense that she had the gifts of prophecy (bestowed upon her by Zeus' mother, Rhea) and healing (to the extent where she could heal even fatal wounds inflicted by the Hydra's poison). Oh, and her father was the River God, Cebren. So, by marrying Paris while he was a mere shepherd, it can be said that she had actually made an unadvantageous match, and even after he was officially acknowledged as Priam's and Hecuba's son and became a Prince of Troy, it did not change the fact that he was still a mere mortal, while she was a powerful and gifted spirit of nature who would never grow old, and would live much, much longer than he did (from what I know, nymphs are not truly immortal, but almost immortal). Mmmm...I wonder how things would have turned out if, right from the start, Helen had chosen Paris as her husband, and Oenone and Menelaus had become a couple. Yes. Let Helen and Paris have each other, while Oenone and Menelaus (two faithful, loving, yet cruelly abandoned spouses) become a couple right from the start.

    I have a theory about Achilles and Hector. In the 2004 movie Troy both of them were none believers. Achilles beheaded the statue of Apollo we're Hector was just a non believer to the point that he mocks whatever Priams advisors says.
    So the Gods took upon themselves to make a believer out of them. My theory Is Ares enhance the fighting ability of Achilles that's why Hector loss and died. Achilles on the other hand died In the hands of Paris because ppl say Apollo guided the Arrow the shot Achilles to his heel.
    Also In the movie Troy I like how King Agamemnon advisor's are more wise than the King Priam advisor's.
