I will choose Athena because she is the Goddess of Wisdom. Hera can give me power and kingdom, Aphrodite can only fulfil my lustful desires or give me a partner but without wisdom, I can neither keep a kingdom nor a relationship stable.
Yeah, Aphrodite would've made your life miserable, turning everybody against you, extinguishing love from your heart making you the most hated man alive...Or she can curse you with an uncontrollable desire and lust for someone and after a rejection you will commit suicide. Athena may be the goddess of was and wisdom, but Aphrodite has the power over the hearts of mortals and immortals and she is far more dangerous then Athena.

If Paris chose Athena, he could've had the wisdom to lead a better army or come up with superior battle tactics to defeat Menelaus and Agamemnon and take both of their treasures from their kingdoms and just take Helen as a spoil of war. So, he could've had all three of the things the goddesses promised him had he chosen Athena.

I have felt this scenery always a nonsense. 1. It is unreasonable to assume that ab ovo not the godess of love is the most beautiful. 2. Instead of eating, destroying the apple or carrying out an anonymous vote, the gods passed the decision to a mortal, who will suffer the decision's consequences for only a finite time. This is reasonable but very immoral and coward from the governors of the world. 3. The competitors did not show their full beauty but immediately started to bribe. This is not virtuous. The only reasonable deed was of Paris to choose Aphrodite. If he choose Hera, he would be strangled by a general or rejected by every women. If he gave the apple to Athene, he would be an imprisoned wise man, or a general blackmailed with his family by a king or rejected by every women. But Aphrodite could give the highest pleasures available for a mortal for the finite time on Earth. By the way with the destruction of Troy, the gods created the Etruscans, that led to Rome, that led to Christianity, that made them fired.
So this implies that Paris is older than Achilles since that’s Achilles dad getting hitched. Paris is a fool. Alexander the Great would definitely go with Athena, and Croesus and Midas with Hera.
They would all have been 'fool' in choosing any of the 3, as the video pointed out, you choose one, the other 2 would hate you and will get their revenge, so choosing any would have been a lose-lose situation regardless, the wisest choice would have been to find a way to choose none, as to not anger anybody
Not really, The decision was actually showed that Paris was humble. He's a simple shepherd yet rejected the chance to become rich or famous. He showed that he had no desire for power or glory.
you know I remember the "Troy" movie.. Achilles (Brad Pitt) said "the Gods are jealous of us. they envy us 'cause we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. everything is more beautiful because we're doomed."

Uh, Eris? You are the goddess of DISCORD/STRIFE, and you thought that as retaliation for not being invited you are going to do the very thing that got you uninvited to begin with, cause DISCORD/STRIFE! Htf are you surprised that they didn't want you there?! Make it make sense!🤔🤷🏿♂️🤣
If you don't want a "Sleeping Beauty scenario" to occur--you know, uninvited fairy/goddess doesn't get invited to party ends up causing a bigger problem than if she was simply invited to begin with, frickin' invite her anyway. She can't help it that she's the goddess of discord and strife rather than something more cheery such as beauty or wisdom.
*Suspicious apple with an engraving appears* Any person with an IQ of 5: I ain't taking that, could be a trap Athena (The Literal Goddess of Wisdom): *Nearly fights for it*
did you consider that Eris as a Goddess of Discord wouldn't be just throwing some Golden Apple without magic? also, it wasn't mention in the video, but many Goddess actually fought for it and then in the end it leads down to these three Goddess..
A couple of things * WHAT ABOUT HIS WIFE OINONE (Oenone)? The Naiad-nymph (In part 1) who swore her eternal love. * This contest no longer has anything to do with beauty once the bribes came in. It's who can offer the better stuff contest.
The tale of the Trojan War is one of the most well-known stories in Western literature, but what if Paris, the prince of Troy, had made a different decision when faced with the bribe of the three goddesses? What if he had chosen wisely and avoided the devastating consequences that came with his infatuation with Helen? It is a fact that no mortal can exceed the beauty of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty. When Paris was tasked with judging a beauty contest between Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite, he could have chosen Aphrodite as the fairest of the three. However, when Aphrodite offered him the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen of Sparta, as his prize, he should have refused. Paris was already married to Oenone, a nymph who had given up her immortality to be with him. He should have remained faithful to her and refused to accept the bribe of a woman who was already married to another man. If Paris had chosen wisely, he could have said to Aphrodite, "You are the most beautiful for you are the goddess of love and beauty, therefore I will give you this Golden Apple, but I will take the offer of Hera or Athena instead for I'm married already to Oenone." If Paris had chosen Hera or Athena's offer, perhaps the Trojan War could have been avoided altogether. The two goddesses, though not chosen as the fairest, may have been relieved that Paris accepted their offer. Or, they may have held a grudge against Paris for not choosing them and attacked him anyway. However, at least the city of Troy would not have been affected, and the devastating consequences of the Trojan War could have been avoided. Paris' decision to accept Aphrodite's bribe and take Helen as his prize led to the destruction of Troy and the deaths of countless soldiers on both sides of the conflict. If Paris had made a different choice and remained faithful to his wife, Oenone, the tragic events of the Trojan War could have been prevented. Moreover, even after the Trojan War ended, Paris' reputation would not have been tarnished, and he would not be known as the man who caused the war that destroyed his city. He could have lived a peaceful life with his wife Oenone, and the people of Troy could have prospered without fear of invasion. In conclusion, if Paris had made a different decision and refused Aphrodite's bribe, the Trojan War could have been avoided, and the tragic events that followed could have been prevented. Paris could have lived a peaceful life with his wife, Oenone, and the city of Troy could have continued to thrive. The lesson we can learn from Paris' story is to make wise decisions and not let our desires blind us to the consequences of our actions.
In the end nothing is stronger than love Love can destroy start wars but is beautiful and the strongest emotion in a humans body just like a beautiful rose with. Dorns tbh i don’t know why i wrote this but yah If Athena And Hera never have been jealous to not have the title as the goddess of Beauty that never happened Aphrodite just had to take the apple and eat it but Athena And Hera came because they want the Title so they both fought but in the end the jealousy never helped them because Aphrodite still won and also Aphrodite is the one who never used tricks Hera started with saying something and THEN Athena said something Aphrodite was the last one and just said something because everyone knows shes the goddess of Beauty and she fought for HER Title
Offer to Hera- You die. Offer to Athena- You die. Offer to Aphrodite- You die. Split equally- You die. Can't decide- You die. For a long time, I don't have answer. But now, I believe I have a solution that's very likely to give me a good ending- offer the Apple to Hestia. I believe Hestia is the only prestigious and neutral party that the goddesses might concede WITHOUT DISPUTE.
What if he made them take an oath or something so that they don't punish him if he doesn't choose them? That would have worked out, gods and goddesses can't break oaths, right?
idk if im the only one but i didn't like athena after what she did too hector and troy, hector was one of the best heroes in greek mythology he's my favorite
Oh no... I'm reading a story right now that is doing a reenactment of the Judgement of Paris in the form of a play. But, knowing the characters featured in the story, chaos is going to ensue. I came here for a quick summary of what the play is going to look like, and... yeah, it ain't gonna be pretty.
I'd pick Athena for three reasons. One conquer the world. Two Aphrodite's gift a women, is kinda weak compared to Athena's gift. Three Hera's gift of being a King well...A general could easily make himself King.
Personally I would try to find Persephone, and give her the apple in exchange to give a good word for me with her husband when I die. Then I find a good high cliff, eat a bunch of coins, and jump off it. After that I get to live a cozy afterlife with my kingdom not getting involved. And in all honest Perephone is probably one of the only few pure good Goddess’s in the patheon, so she's more deserving of the apple then these three.
When I think of all the stuff Hera has done throughout Greek Mythology, I would’ve chosen here out of fear of what she’d do to me if I chose someone else! 😱
What if he made them take an oath or something so that they don't punish him if he doesn't choose them? That would have worked out, gods and goddesses can't break oaths, right?

I think it wouldn't have mattered which godess was chosen, it would have resulted in paris violently dying one way or another. If he chose hera I think he would have been a tyrant king and murdered. If he chose Athena he would have had a similar story to Hercules but a bitter sweet ending.
I would've chose Hera, Queen of Olympus 👑⚜️✨🦚🪷💎🌌🏛️ Power, a throne, political influence, authority and a powerful nation can give me a beautiful wife and a powerful army anyway
A. Become King of Asia, but lose all war and hated by girl he likes B. Become super wise general, but would never be a king and hated by the girl he likes C. Got the girl he likes but would never become a king nor win any war... D. None of the above E. All choices except D...

Poor Paris man. No matter who he chose, the other two would still hate him.
"To the fairest" not the most beautiful. Do you really think Athena cared if she was pretty?🗡️
Your talking about the same goddess that threw a hissy fit when she lost a weaving contest to a mortal.
@@George-Hawthorne dude that was cause archean literally insulted her saying she was better than athena in what she was the goddess of

@@George-Hawthorne ok that was true, but u cant forget the fact that the contest arose cause of archeans stupidity and arogance
My girl Eris really woke up one day and decided to stir the pop big time
So this implies that Paris is older than Achilles since that’s Achilles dad getting hitched.
@@tadah5319 By choosing none you anger all three.
Not really, The decision was actually showed that Paris was humble. He's a simple shepherd yet rejected the chance to become rich or famous. He showed that he had no desire for power or glory.
@@George-Hawthorne And that's the difference between me and Paris; I would have chose Athena.

Idk why but Olympian gods are the most problematic gods among all mythology
That is just because a big part of the myths about them are preserved...
you know I remember the "Troy" movie.. Achilles (Brad Pitt) said "the Gods are jealous of us. they envy us 'cause we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. everything is more beautiful because we're doomed."
@@yaneerenomeron4166 Which is hilarious because it is the exact opposite of what mortals say in the Iliad. The exact opposite of what the ancient Greeks believed, in fact.
If you put them all in 1 room for 24 hrs just watch them argue and fight
Athena the god of wisdom. Really. Jealousy and moronic is more suitable for her cause she chose to take revenge on innocent people of troy.
Are you forgetting the other two as just as jealous and moronic
Yooo I like your voice 👍
I'm enjoying this more than I should 😂😍
Great video
The olympians sure hold a lot of grudges don't they?
2nd place
Continue with the good job of making these videos. Wait even Asia worshipped the Greek gods?
Depends on the time period but parts of it yes
Someone make this a book
Throws Troy under the bus for being a simp to helen
worth it
i'm always interested in greek mythology since i learned about them in school though i can't recognized some of the story now and watching these series makes my interest come back. back then i'm into troy but i also like achilles' story though i feel bad on hector's death, he's a great leader but achilles is one of the best warrior out there with greek gods on his back. this will be a good refresher and the drawings are so pretty.
Hera,Athena,And Aphrodite nake.

did you consider that Eris as a Goddess of Discord wouldn't be just throwing some Golden Apple without magic?
also, it wasn't mention in the video, but many Goddess actually fought for it and then in the end it leads down to these three Goddess..
A couple of things
* WHAT ABOUT HIS WIFE OINONE (Oenone)? The Naiad-nymph (In part 1) who swore her eternal love.
* This contest no longer has anything to do with beauty once the bribes came in. It's who can offer the better stuff contest.
FIRST . I love ur videos
Please make a video about aqrabuamelu/girtablilu (scorpion man) please.
just saying: having the goddesses of rulership and war tactics fighting against you in a war is really stacking the odds against you
With Athena I’d conquer Asia and the hearts of women.
I love the art that is used in the Videos 🥰 Oh could we have a Video about skylla ? That would be relly cool 😌
If Paris had chosen wisely, he could have said to Aphrodite, "You are the most beautiful for you are the goddess of love and beauty, therefore I will give you this Golden Apple, but I will take the offer of Hera or Athena instead for I'm married already to Oenone."
If Paris had chosen Hera or Athena's offer, perhaps the Trojan War could have been avoided altogether.
Aphrodite is nothing but the word I cannot say on TH-cam. As for love; I live on fine without it.
it's more like lust to me.
That’s exactly why she wasn’t invited
Offer to Hera- You die.
Offer to Athena- You die.
Offer to Aphrodite- You die.
Split equally- You die.
Can't decide- You die.
For a long time, I don't have answer. But now, I believe I have a solution that's very likely to give me a good ending- offer the Apple to Hestia. I believe Hestia is the only prestigious and neutral party that the goddesses might concede WITHOUT DISPUTE.
What if he made them take an oath or something so that they don't punish him if he doesn't choose them? That would have worked out, gods and goddesses can't break oaths, right?
idk if im the only one but i didn't like athena after what she did too hector and troy, hector was one of the best heroes in greek mythology he's my favorite
i am fan of Athena~ and this saddens me because I also didn't like her trickery to my greatest gentleman, and also my fave, Hector..
Omg this is so exciting
If you pick Athena, you can basically end up with the other two offers later using her gift.
Nope Apfrodite would’ve cursed him to be lonely for life, and Hera would’ve done some weird bs on him too. Plus the trojan war would still happen
note to self if I'm ever in that situation carry a dagger and cut the apple three ways.
Wow brilliantly
Morgan Freeman: It was at this moment that Prince Paris... eh actually nevermind... now's not the time...
Paris was a fool to pick Aphrodite
Hera 1st
Athena 2nd
Aphrodite 3d
Paris was no simp, that's what I can gather from this fable
When I think of all the stuff Hera has done throughout Greek Mythology, I would’ve chosen here out of fear of what she’d do to me if I chose someone else! 😱
Athena and hera are great 🌸🌸🌸♥️
Like Zeus, bruh, normal husbands would choose their wife😂😂😂
The first beauty contest thingy wasn't actually a beauty contest

Can you add the name of the narrator for this?
I've been watching his voice on this channel for the past year and a half and I must say he has a very good voice whomever you are😁
I do prefer him over his colleague not that he doesn't do good nations on this channel but I like to know the name of this one since I normally look out for narration clips he does for this channel
I think it wouldn't have mattered which godess was chosen, it would have resulted in paris violently dying one way or another. If he chose hera I think he would have been a tyrant king and murdered. If he chose Athena he would have had a similar story to Hercules but a bitter sweet ending.
Answering bluntly - I would say that Luca Hollestelle is the epitome of beauty! What goddess with even skin tone can compete?
Wow so Paris was the first greek simp
Wait if hera is the goddess of marriage, why didnt she just say that she will give him the most beautiful girl to marry(Helen)before aphrodite did?
Hera has a proven track record of being very bad at helping heroes/matchmaking.
@@Blokewood3 yea pretty much
because helen was already married to someone else. aphrodite being... aphrodite, she doesn't care about such things.

Power, a throne, political influence, authority and a powerful nation can give me a beautiful wife and a powerful army anyway
A. Become King of Asia, but lose all war and hated by girl he likes
B. Become super wise general, but would never be a king and hated by the girl he likes
C. Got the girl he likes but would never become a king nor win any war...
D. None of the above
E. All choices except D...
