Nice! You gave us one more portion of useful information. Hearing of life stories of people who are successfully involved in fashion... is inspiring! I guess freedom and flexibility is the biggest advantage of fashion freelancing in comparison with regular fashion job. That's why it would be interesting to hear about all advantages and some disadvantages of the one. Could you create a video with listing of all "pros and cons" of fashion design freelancing?
It is the best way to get flexibility, by far!!! I will add a "pros and cons" to the video list ;) And glad you enjoyed the real life stories! Will always do my best to share the truth and what actually goes down!
Hello! I am a fashion designer. I design women's wear dresses and also I do pattern making and grading for wovens, tech packs and fashion flats. if interested let me know
I’m in my final year of my fashion degree and I think that freelancing would be a great option after a graduate as I want to work a flexible job. How do you get into freelancing is there website you can promote you services or do you directly email clients to offer your service?
You will have much more success emailing directly. Check out my free guide for more tips and to learn how to do that: successfulfashiondesigner.com/freelance-fashion-designer-ultimate-guide/
I wouldn’t say easy. Breaking into fashion under any circumstances isn’t easy. Anything is possible, however. I know people and have students who’ve done it. So yes, it is possible.
Hi, thank you so much for these informative videos! I’m a textile designer and I’m wondering how can I freelance for multiple brands, if let’s say 2 or more of the brands are competing brands.. I hope I’m clear with my question, how does that work?
Use your best judgment - if they're *direct* competitors, probably not the *best* idea, but unless you've signed something (non-compete etc), then as a freelancer you're free to work with who you want. Obviously consider repercussions, but for personal reference (I am NOT a lawyer), I freelanced for multiple active / golf brands during my career - many of them knew, there was never an issue.
For fashion student like me it's like a treasure hunt video 🙌
I'm so glad!
Very helpful... I also wants to be fashion designer..... 🤗

Is it easy to get a freelance job without studying fashion school (without a fashion degree or diploma)??
I wouldn’t say easy. Breaking into fashion under any circumstances isn’t easy. Anything is possible, however. I know people and have students who’ve done it. So yes, it is possible.
