Years ago it was announced that a Megamind show was in development. If it was only the show that released with this quality, I don't think it would be received this poorly. However, this new movie is clearly nothing more than an extra long pilot for the show. Major gut punch. It also doesn't help that the story this new movie and show wants to tell directly goes against the plot and the behaivours/character development of the old movie.
Low key megamind just needs the sonic treatment fr. But on a real note what upsets me the most is dreamworks never really puts the same lvl of quality into their shows as they do with their movies. The huge factor of it is that they actually can when they want too. We’ve seen it with shows like defenders of berk, race to the edge, legends of awesomeness, troll hunters, tales of Arcadia, and even camp Cretaceous where they are capable of making quality shows. With megamind it’s just a shame fans like myself have waited 13 years to get a sequel and this is what we get while trolls gets a whole ass trilogy 💀. At the same time he has to Convince "not Luz" to NOT be a Hero, as it's very Dangerous... and eventually the 2 Conflicting ideas come and bite him in the Ass
A large theme of the original is that Megamind does not and never did have any friends, to the point where he can’t pronounce certain words due to never being exposed to them

Nah, I'mma pass on both Megamind 2 and Kung Fu Panda 4 because I'm already made both The Bad Guys and Orion and The Dark my last 2 DreamWorks movies that I watched since I'm already done with the DreamWorks 3D movie bandwagon and because those stupid "DreamWorks vs Disney in a nutshell" videos always trying to make fun of normal and sane Disney fans like me since all I did was revisit my old favorites like any fan would do even they're also favorite guilty pleasures such as Treasure Planet,Atlantis,Dinosaur,Brother Bear,Chicken Little, Lilo & Stitch and Winnie the Pooh but those that kept nagging about the Box Office over everything just don't seem to care.
