Thanks for taking the time and effort to post these videos! As someone who lives in Chilliwack and works in Abbotsford, it's great to see current video of the status of the roads and farmland. Thank you!
Love doing it! Another person asked why there wasn't as much coverage for Chilliwack as Abby and realised it's because it was almost unreachable for news crews until the re-opening today!
Watching the news update today and hearing of all the livestock losses, crop losses on top of losing their homes….it’s a smidgeon of good news seeing some weight lifted and the waters receding a bit.
So you're saying this is a reposting of pilot yellows video either way I mean the guy's posting claiming to be law enforcement or fire and rescue right that's what his title says so I mean maybe it's just trying to get the word out in that perspective but yeah I mean the days old the accurate date should be post on the video though of time and date of recording different from time and date of posting
That corridor is also extremely nasty when the Arctic air comes down the canyon and hits the part of the Trans-Canada. Several RCMP officers have lost their lives closing down the highway in ice conditions over the years. I drove the Matsqui Prairie route for Loomis back in the eighties for five winter months. Nightmare times. no backup, no excuses.
Thanks for giving us a view of our back yard we who live here rely on locals the emergency evacuation failed many of us instead of using air raid sirens to notify the local fire hall stood outside handing out pamphlets ARE YOU kidding? You have no idea what this data means to people, actually I bet you do. But thank you, it is amazing and so decent of you guys to do. Have we become soft? I mean after 2 weeks of this and no real end in sight, a guy just feels like throwing his hands up and saying: Well... You know? Saudi Arabia is currently under some of the worse flooding in their history, Something was up again in Australia... Can't say they didn't warn us, but who really expected all this... so fast, from Heatwaves to Droughts to fires to floods, A break might be nice, Just saying, weather Gods. LOL
Next to no snow on our costal mountain range...and it's not just here. many places down stateside that would normally already have the ski runs open...Are "Green". I think we all know what that means for summer next Year. "Rinse and repeat".
@@christopherlussier4383 Yeah. It is... I don't know... What would you call it? Climate change? Maybe Global Warming? We are bare around here too. Skiing? Maybe not this year if this keeps up. But at this point the least of our worries. But as you said, next summer? Look out. We'll be on fire again. LOL, whatever we call it we were warned. But instead of believing science which has a 100% perfect record. Not of always being right, but always getting it right. They said hurricanes would intensify. Check. They said sea level would rise. Check. They said we'd experience huge swings. Check They said the Arctic and Antarctic would warm at twice the rate. Check. They said that change would be gradual and at some point like a pot boiling over, we'd suddenly see unbelievable changes in our weather patterns and an unpredictable growing season that could lead to terrible famines. Not quite check yet, but close. Think it'll take much more time for that to come true? Me neither. We did this to ourselves, but it seems people like being lied to more than they like OBVIOUS "in your face" TRUTH!

Well its a lake they drained what did they expect.
@@eucmike Yes, I know that it once was a lake. It was drained a hundred years ago. There was also flooding in 1990, but not to this extent.
