I'm surprised the Tamahi Bridge survived this! Thanks for sharing this vid. Living in the "Wack", I was kinda wondering what happened up the valley. Thanks again!👍
Thanks for this! I lived on Vedder Mtn Road, just past the Vedder Crossing Bridge, until last December, so it's great to get some news and visuals of this area. That's definitely the higest I've ever seen the Vedder River. Good luck to everyone in the area!! (I tried to take some food to Yarrow, but the shelves were pretty empty in Coquitlam. Will try again tomorrow).
Thank you for posting, I live on Evans Road, and this area is my home turf. familiar with a lot of the scenes in your videos. I walked around some of them the day after
I have a friend who lives off tamahi road park area about 5 Kms in she lost 2 acres of her land so far. Be safe everyone praying for you in this next series of storms 1 , 2 and 3
Wow never seen the river that high. And add this coming winter snow pack to this, the run off in the spring will be crazy with more flooding and mudslides and rock slides. Best get prepared for the worst... power outages and such..
I used to live in Chilliwack, but my family and I moved back to Alberta January 2021. No word of a lie in 2019 I started crying to my husband that there was going to be a huge flood. One day I get a call from my mom (she's in Chilliwack still) telling me to watch the news and that she was okay. I was so shocked..
In Peterborough Ontario we got over 400 mm in just over an hour. the kiddie pool in the parking lot was empty the day before and its about 2 meters wide by just over 40 cm deep and was empty. That pool was level with the top so god only knows how much rain we actually got. They were saying 480 mm in the north west end of the city. But it didn't rain everywhere and went through Lindsay about 20 minutes before then stalled over Peterborough. They were playing songs like New Orleans is sinking, smoke on the water, and a lot more.
@@wandervisionYT Yes they got two 500 year storms there and lots of 100s. Its a fish bowl and all creeks empty into the river. The hardest thing to believe was there are some hills in town and even the basements on the hills flooded the basements
I would never compare any of this flooding. Just to say it can happen anywhere. The problem is when a system stalls and delivers its moisture all at once and all in one place. the problem out in BC is the mountains. Systems are funneled into the river basin and then hit the mountains. same dam effect unfortunately.
The rains are returning to fill up the rivers and lakes once again as they’ve done so many times in the past. Its been so long that people have built their homes to close to rivers and on flood plains.
I’m one of many like yourself who was effected by this event. I unfortunately was stuck for a week between two mudslides on Hwy 3 in sunshine valley which is 15 mins east of Hope. The highway either going east or west is considered for us who live here as an emergency exit . Thankfully we were all safe and no emergencies occurred but seeing the aftermath of the mudslide was an awakening of what climate change can do.
Its not climate change its war on the people but your to blind to see it, whats really happening under the plandemic, is genocide but you wont believe the truth. Everyone i tell the truth to rejects the truth, and unfortunately your blood is on your own heads, you have been warned, not because i want to hurt you but because i love you and want you to be free from the yoke of slavery. Too bad we haven't developed mini-hydro generators that could utilize the enormous energy and power in these raging waters. Then something good could come out of this.
Very hard to say how things will look in March. All depends on how much snow falls between then and now, how fast it melts and how much rain fall there is at that time.
This is from a week ago. The river in the video is still high, but not as high. WIll post an update video later today to show a comparison between then and now.

The good news is, the Sumas Prairie which was hit the hardest is recovering and they will hopefully have Hwy 1 between Chilliwack and Abbotsford reopening thie evening (Nov 24). The Atkinson Rd dike has been repaired and the Barrowtown Pump station has been saved and is pumping out something like 7 million gallons of water per minute with the flood gates open to the Fraser River. some clay, lots of sediment of all kinds in the river from runoff and slides into the channel
