    Mi ripeto: è splendido come la ''Barcarola'' suoni davvero come una barcarola: morbida e legatissima. In altre - pur autorevoli - esecuzioni è resa in maniera molto spoglia e meccanica, quasi fosse un contrappunto barocco... anche ciò è bello e sensato, ma sentire il grandioso, lucidissimo delirio bartokkiano incorniciato dalle mollezze e dai languori formali di una romanza da gondolieri è davvero entusiasmante... Grande Pollini!

    Assolutamente meraviglioso. Le parti percussive sono realizzate con un'energia e un'incisione inarrivabili. La stupefatta oasi lirica centrale con finezze timbriche e dinamiche degne di un Michelangeli.

    Oh what a great Bartok interpreter. Fabulous. I heard Pollini play the Suite op. 14 in Copenhagen about the same time as this.

      As someone more expert than me has said, Pollini. S tempo for these pieces is perfect.

    Pliini indeed ùastered all the styles. He was xo convincing for instance in Stockhausen's klvierstücke! No great pianist plays them anymore. here, he catched the spirit od this suite by Bartok, one of his masterpieces, well known by his movement "Night music'. This suite is complex because its rythmic tension, whether ewprssed or implicit, his complex harmony and its fragments of popular-like cells. It is moer direct than for instance in string quartets or in the "music for strings, ......"

    Tocada por el gran maestro Pollini, percibo aún más en esta suite de Bartók el pulso que avisa la vida, latente y eficaz como ella misma. Sin intención descriptiva, en Szabadban se pronuncian las emanaciones que la tierra cela, polifónicas/ recreativas/ centelleantes. Fuera o “adentro” -y en particular en el cuarto movimiento: "Az éjszaka zenéje"- se la siente latir como al mismo órgano que acompasa nuestra existencia, gracias al vacío y paradójicamente al silencio. Al primero porque todo ser lo precisa para expandirse, en cuanto al segundo, porque nos permite apreciar ritmos ocultos. Cuanto más avanzo en edad, me ratifico en la exigencia de uno y otro, indisociables. Les necesito para saberme en ellos liberado. Para reconocerme en la multiplicidad de sus cadencias “vitales”.

    Pollini is the God of Beethoven, but he seems in a hurry in the Fifes and Drums. For me the definitive recording still is the Murray Perahia.

      @MisterPathetique 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Perahia is an incredibly versatile pianist, but I find his Bartok pretty weak. Zoltan Kocsis, Can Çakmur or Beatrice Rana are much safer bets in my opinion.

      @@MisterPathetique i agree, too cultivated (Perahia). Reminds me of Stravinsky's waspish comments on Karajan's 1st recording of 'The Rite of Spring'
