This shoe is gonna age really well, i like the versatility of it and the colorways have matched that theme so far of being able to wear them in a lot of different settings.

Nike and DB did a good job creating a hoop shoe that could be worn casually. I think Nike has themselves a future classic with this one that will inspire companies to create a casual looking hoop shoes. Great review 🔥
I have to disagree. If I want a casual shoe, I would like to be a shoe that's casual. So that I get all of my tech catered to casual fit, comfort and performance. If I want a hooping shoe, I would like to be a hoopin shoe that has all the tech catered to hooping, fit, comfort and performance. Meshing the two together, I feel like there's going to be some sacrifice somewhere.

I was able to purchased both pairs for retail. I've tried the Mirage V1 on the basketball court. The traction is phenomenal on the clean court while the collar of the ankle gives a lot of support in the ankle area! I went true to size since these shoes will be broken in over time as I play. I would say go half size up for casual wear since they fit snug at initial first wear. They feel more of a midtop basketball shoe instead of a low top shoe. I would say they remind me of a KD15 and a Kobe 5 with more padding. This shoe is the first time I've gone TTS since all the new Nike basketball shoes, I normally wear half a size up. Plus the last time I went TTS was the Kobe 6 Metallic Silver, those Kobes weren't as narrow compare to the Protros. I know the Book 1 have mixed opinions but they are comfortable and innovative in their own special way! Thanks for the review!
I mainly watch these videos not for the performance of the shoes but as shoes for casual fits

perfect basketball shoes for me. I don't hoop hoop like seriously, never really tried in team practice. never played a serious game in a real court. I'm not ass for someone who doesn't play real basketball. I play in slides on my uneven concrete backyard. Definitely will be using the books in gym.

The TPU wall/cage is only on the lateral side, not on the medial side, that's why it's softer 😉
6’2 pg/sg. Somehow, the Book is an incredible shoe on court. I’m genuinely surprised at how excellent it is. For me, right now, it’s the best basketball shoe available.
Shoes are nice to me! I can wear casually to work as well.
Great video keep up the good work AF1 are decently comfortable to me I prefer AF1 comfort over AJ1 looks are better on AJ1 though and 8 times out of 10 I wear basketball shoes as work shoes im on my feet a lot and moving around basketball shoes are great for that…

the book 1 is nicer then then Air Force 1. I just got these and think $140 is fair for the quality of these Book 1. they are incredibly well made and beautiful! fair price for quality.

I think they priced it $140 not because of the tech in the shoe , I think its because of the materials .. they more premium than other shoes imo

I wear my hoop shoes casually. 😅 If they're comfy for casual they're gonna go on my feet. I wore the Jordan 38 fundamentals casually to work and wore it with a purple Jordan hoodie and jeans.

It depends on what your preference is. The book 1's are very comfortable and have great cushion. They conform to your feet a bit better in my opinion and had pretty decent ankle support for a low top shoe. The ae 1's are fairly comfortable and is very breathable, you can literally feel the air flowing through the shoes keeping your feet nice and cool. The ae also have better ankle support.

Better than Ja 1's for sure and on par, if not probably better than the GTs. Fit is awesome especially for those with wide feet.

Honestly... I see so many people rocking Kyrie (Nike), Dames, PGs, Currys and KDs casually... I don't mind it. It gives different flavor or style for who ever wants to rock it. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

Am I the only one that finds these uppers so weird... Doesn't that make all the hi-tech carbon, TPU and such counters, straps and outriggers kinda unnecessary? Since a basic, vintage-looking, retro leather upper performs just as well? I find that strange hah
No, leather upper alone does not perform just as well.

I was scared to watch cuz you were hating on it at first. Shoe picks up some dust but it’s a quick wipe👍🏻super comfy once you break them in.

But it’s not better tech it’s heel zoom lmao that’s like the bare minimum and would go for $90 back in the day. The kyrie infinity had heel zoom AND a zoom strobel $130 price tag. I like the shoe but it’s fine to have higher standards as a consumer
