She was hosting a show in Edmonton, Canada and thats how they first met. She was rapping way before Tom. She was signed to Def Jam then they really screwed her over. The way she found out was that their landlord came by and said that they weren't going to pay her rent anymore. Tom moved to California and eventually moved in with Nova. They started a band called GFBF. Those songs are on TH-cam as well. They just recently brought the band back together and created the Wild Ones album. Nova will blow you away. Her songs include Lost Girls, Problem ( the version where she is wear flip flops in the thumbnail) , Hey You, Dear Nova, Gang Gang, Wishing Well, Genghis Khan, Did your Best, Call me Batman, Jesus on my neck, just to name a few. That led to a serious mental breakdown that lasted a year, and caused many changes in Tom's lifestyle and what he wanted his music to be about. He said he didnt want his music to help destroy people, but to give them hope and purpose, to tell them the truth. In DEAR RAPPERS, he says he is 28. So you picking up on the change line, then referencing the 27 club is exceptional. It makes some of the other lines have more meaning. Bravo to you!

I believe his reference in the bridge of 'Housing the Holy wherever I stand' is a reference to that album with his 'No Quarter' tattoo on his face. It's a double for sure.
