I was getting some comments about the order being jumbled but I just forget to mention beforehand which section was which for fantasy/real world of each category so I've created chapters for the video to make that more obvious. The reference of naming the toucan Sam is to the cereal Froot Loops, I think. It’s the bird on the box and his name is Toucan Sam. These references are such a wonderful detail of this mod.
This mod is great and all but I get why vanilla Minecraft doesn't have this after playing with it. Better MC modpack has this mod, and I'm in my third world with it. Maybe it's my super shtty luck and nobody else has this problem, idk, but for me it was super hard to find vanilla mobs with this mod. I had all kinds of animals around my bases which are great to look at, but I had to travel a lot to find sheep, cows, and even chickens. I still haven't seen a single rabbit in any of my worlds lol.

We could have done with a description of the mob drops and abilities.. For example the large catfish will swallow any mob 1 block high or less and can be bucketed. It will drop the mob if punched. This makes it PERFECT for transporting mobs back to your base. Its not just a fish. It can be used to swallow allays so your allays are now usable from your inventory :) The road runner leaves feathers that when crafted into boot makes you super fast on sand. Funny story.. i once punched a random catfish in a swamp and it dropped a FULL SIZED crocodile that then death rolled me... lol. That'll teach me :)
Tarantula hawk moths and cave centipedes (although they look different) are real, just not that size, also i never knew i needed a Komodo Dragon with a maid outfit on until now lol
I always stayed away from Alex's Mobs because in the early EARLY versions the textures didn't seem to fit with vanilla minecraft for me... Well glad to see I was mistaken to stay away from so long because damn this mod has changed a lot X)
I like that you include cosmic cod, mungus, and the leviathan in the real mobs instead of fantasy. I know they're all based on real animals and stuff, but is the very first fantasy mob NOT based on a bunny? Its got bun right in the name lmao
The cosmaw for instance is based on the Tuli Monster which is an extinct predator and one of the oldest lifeforms we know of. Like I assume the leviathan was considered a real mob bc of plesiosaurs but the casmaw is definitely also based on an animal that looks exactly the same
Oh the Dev team is doing fine, they just don't see any need to be in any rush or make any dramatically huge updates. This game is 13 years old after all

The cosmaw is based on a opabinia, a cambrian animal A tarantula hawk is a real insect the lays it’s eggs inside of tarantulas, and the larvas eat them alive. The warped mosco is a reference to the Pokémon buzzswole

does anyone else have issues with both Alex's Mobs and Alex's Caves when they have shaders installed? I have Complimentary Shaders which seems to make some of the mobs in both mods invisible, does anyone happen to know a fix for my situation?
Fun facts that you didn't mentioned; The Froststalkers are probably inspired on Baggi / Great Baggi from Monster Hunter While the Great Mosco is pretty clearly based on Buzzwole from pokemon, hope these are some cool fun facts :D
It does work with Biomes O’ Plenty, idk how they did it but the spawns feel great there. The only weird one is Tasmanian devils spawning in the magic forests, but honestly it’s kinda funny and I like it that way XD

@@MrFallDamage787 This is one of my favourite mods, but I wish that the developer, showcase videos, and the fan wiki were better at conveying information such as mob behaviour. I still do not know how the Bison works. Some attack me on sight while other Bison do not care unless attacked.

Murmurs are a cool mob but they kept attacking me _through_ blocks so I disabled them.
