Yes! The symbiotic fungi is amazing. Something relatively new to the hobby and our knowledge base in general. We knew fungi and trees worked together, we just didn't know to what extent this was going on. You can pair just about any Mycorrhizae strain with plants, some will pair up better than others for some reason. The fungi pumps the plant up with everything it needs (hydration, minerals, vitamins, root defense from rot and predation....etc.) and helps it thrive. In return the plant now makes excess sugars it passes on to the fungi for an endless food supply. Some spore-based reproduction plants must pair with a symbiotic fungi to survive in the wild. Once the male & female spores bond and start creating the offspring, they send out a chemical signal to attract a specific fungi. The symbiotic relationship starts in infancy to replace the usual nutrient packet a seed has, and continues as long as the two are viable. This stuff is so interesting and amazing.
Your plants…your tips…your hair and oh my goodness your coffee mug and your eyebrows…luv it!!!❤ Luv your videos. I’d luv to see you do a ‘how to bring plants indoors to overwinter’ for those of us over here on the east coast. I struggle with that every year 😭. Your tips are so practical. They help me so much and make me laugh. lol
I absolutely love great white! I did find the powder really messy to apply to roots, though. I started applying it with a small paint or makeup brush. Just dip and tap it on the roots. It distributes evenly with no mess! Love it ☺️
I’m not a beginner but would like to increase my anthurium collection.. thanks for these tips, some of which I’ve heard for the first time. I instinctively started adding moss around the plant in hopes of creating a bit more moisture. This did help the plant push out more leaves. I don’t yet feel 100% confident in my anthurium care but will try your suggestions.
Haha Blue hair is a stereotype social signal instant giveaway but the info and lots of tips to use, very informative and interesting. Good work, Thanks.
Great video! Where I live it is impossible to find good orchid bark/mix. A great substitute is Repti bark. A product for reptile bedding, available at pet stores. Its the perfect size, clean, tripple rinsed fir bark.
hi there new subscriber. thanks for all the info you give on anthurium keen grower myself.. i personally use superthrive and vitafeed 301 quite heavy on the nitrogen so plants really pump out leaves.. repotted and jetwashed the roots on my clarinervium and put it in a custom potting media, and it has sent out 2 leaves in about a month :) so im quite impressed :) great content keep it up :) Ben
@@EnchantedPlantQueen aww thanks ive just spent last couple of days moving the house plants i had in the greenhouse into a grow tent inside the house as temps are getting quite low in the evenings. should be happy in there under a growlight until spring :).. keep up the fab job you are doing :)
Love this video, of course I would because it’s Anthurium related. 😂. I am like you no guide to lighting, but since I bought Soltech lights it’s a game changer for my Anthurium and all my plants. I also found that Anthurium “velvet” leaves do not do well in strong light, so mine get less than leathery or strapping Anthurium. I want dark leaves not bleached and that seems to be okay so far.
I don’t usually fertilize more frequently than weekly, if there happens to be a watering close together (lately it’s been hot so these guys are just going through water like crazy), it will just be filtered water. I’m always afraid of overdoing it, but I have yet to notice signs of over fertilizing. I’m trying to get better at diagnosing signs of specific nutrient deficiencies so I can be really targeted, but so far these plants seems happy with the current routine 💚
Love your channel. I bet you don’t have fungus gnats problem not because of this tiny little H2O2 added (how would that be even possible?) but because you let your substrate dry too much 😂

Great video tons of golden nuggets for new and old collectors. Was that harry potter weed in the ashtray 😆
🤣🤣🤣Ur too funny! Perhaps an off-menu item sold at Hogsmeade? 😆
Do you fertilize every watering even if you water every 3-8 days? I wasn’t sure if I should do it that frequently or every 14 days?

It might be😂 btw- interesting idea with this aquarium product, i need to research this.
