Tip: you know you are getting your hands on an easy and fast growing anthurium when you see the small leafs still on looking nice when it’s that size. Not surprising at all for doc blocks anthurium to be like that, he is known for selecting for strong and fast growing anthurium when breeding.
You are so right about that!💚🪴✨
I’m obsessed with that spoon 🥄 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🪴🪴🪴. Erin always has the coolest stuff. lol
Awww thank you!!!!!😊🥰 Me too😍💚
I need to try again on another queen. I got the same plant from @niceplantsgoodpots and it's one of The most beautiful anthuriums! So red n it's comes out!
Luv threes company 17:04
It’s SO good💚 But i haven’t been able to get the theme out of my head since i posted it🤣
I completely agree!! Mine has been thriving in fluval and the newest leaf doubled in size. Just as I was about to repot it into a chunk aroid mix. Would you keep it in fluval even after it’s a mature plant? Or do you just use fluval when they’re tiny? I am sitting here debating & can’t decide.
Yay! That’s fantastic! In my experience, the fluval tends to break down and turn into mud after a while which compromises the aeration so after the plant seems to be establishing a nice rooting system & pushes out a few leaves, its ready for pretty much any semi hydro of your choice. I transfer to a mix of pon, perlite & zeolite, or leca. Either have worked well. Good luck!
Loved Threes Company so much!!! Jack Ritter was a great actor they all were. Great memories.
Yes!!! Absolutely! And since revisiting that show, i have not been able to get the theme song out of my head😆🤣
Yes, all my Anthuriums are giving me new leaves in sub-zero temps! Some not so pretty like my Luxurians, but my Queen so far is perfect.
The queens love it cold! Who knew?! My regale still looks like trash tho😅
Glad you are safe!!! Loving our Queen!!!!
Three's Company was one of my favorite shows!
Yaaaaaas!!! 👏🏻👏🏻 I could comfort watch that & Schitt’s Creek all day💚
Great video!!
Awww thanks Queen!! 💚✨🪴🙌🏻
Yeah the whole breeding of anthuriums is not for the weak 😂
You are telling me! 🤣 I’ll stick to being an occasional dabbler🪴😆💚
I love your purple hair. It's a little bit darker than the pink. It looks really good on you. And I love your plants. I always am drooling over them. I need to make a video too and I haven't yet. I have I'm sure over a hundred plants. Ugh
Thanks so much Robyn😊 It’s my winter hair😂💜 You should definitely just make that video! 🪴✨
Love the hair! I miss my strappy bois
Thanks Jess!!! 💚💚 Wait, what happened to yours?!
I can relate to the baseball incident. We’ve had a drone shred a huge gloriosum and incidents with handballs and soccer balls too 😂
🤣Noooooooo! Not the drone! Your poor gloriosum- bet that one hurt😆💚🪴I did a double take on Voldemort. It was hard to believe it was the SECOND time for him.
Love your videos. What medium do you use for your pallidiflorum?😊
Thanks so much Beverly😊 Its funny bc its the same mix it came in ages ago (not far off from what i use tho)- its in coconut chips, large perlite & some sphagnum moss. It gets nutrients w/every watering so i think thats helped to stretch out the need to repot💚🪴✨
What do you think about putting it in pon?@EnchantedPlantQueen
I have one in pon also and its doing great! Pallidiflorum loves pon💚
Good evening Erin. Really enjoy your channel. Thank you for welcoming us into your Special Plant Living Room and discussing your plants. Would like to hear about the care, soil and fertilizer requirements, opps and lighting tips and tricks. Oh my I think I’m asking a lot. Love the fact that you haven’t lost your identity! You are a working mom with compassion for the world and your plants and let’s not forget about your hair color. Love it. Keep doing what you do. I appreciate your channel 🪴
Thank you SO much for your kind words Louise! I appreciate it more than you know😊 Those are great ideas- i can definitely make that happen✨🪴💚
Your Besseae Aff is so beautiful queen 😍😍
Thanks Natasha!! ✨💚😊
I am so happy you post a new video!:) I was worry I know you live in LA area but not sure where due to whildfire 😢 I live only 2.8 miles away from Hollywood hills. I am glad we are safe 🙏 btw all your plants are beautiful and healthy! 🤩 ❤❤
Wow thats really close! 😳 Glad ur safe! And thanks so much- I so appreciate your well wishes✨💚🪴
glad to see that you are safe, hopefully no new fires erupt. I bought a Red Crystal x carla from Wild Roots (they are awesome!) on palmstreet and I feel like that plant is going to be stellar. It just finished the fourth leaf and it started with a fully red central vein, there is still a stripe of red on the hardened leaf. That may fade when the new leaf emerges, time will tell. I got it at a bargain, opening bid was $35 and no one else bid. Same plant, last two weeks, has gone for double that. They had another cross last week, Silver Blush x Michelle I think, that was stellar. I hope they will have more because, dang, I'm telling you that plant was HOT. (I'm actually trying to get a Dorayaki "Silver Chrome" to use for silver breeding because I think that is going to be popular in the near future)
You and I definitely have similar seedling aesthetics that we are drawn to! Your RC x Carla cross sounds absolutely stunning! I just recently discovered Wild Roots and i got a black widow Michelle x blue velvet that is doing really well so far 💚✨🪴
@@EnchantedPlantQueen I bid on a BWM x Blue Velvet couple of weeks ago but bidding went higher than I was willing to pay. Hopefully yours will feature in a video when it starts to size up and show the characteristics. I'll probably be kicking myself in the butt for not bidding higher though.🤣
Just so you know, you are one of my top 5 planty U tube people. So genuine and fun! And your plants are beautiful
Aw thank you SO much Diana! That is so kind of you🥺😊🙌🏻
Your leaves on allllllllll of your plants are exquisite ❤😍😍😍😍. I luv looking 👀 at them. I have total leaf envy… 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Awww thank you! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 That big giant queen is such a joy to look at especially. I have such low expectations for them normally 🤣🤣💚✨
Erinnnnnnn…that leaffffffff 😳😳😳😳😳 Did you faint when you saw the chunk missing??? lol 😂
I saw when i came home from work around midnight…it caught the corner of my eye and for a second, i thought i was hallucinating 😵💫I also may have yelled something 🤣😆😳💚
Just an fyi. I have a Anthurium pallidiflorum x Anthurium crystallinum (Wild Arrow) hybrid. Sooo, if you want to have some fun you can try that cross.
Omg. U just reminded me of that hybrid! I’m so jealous you were able to find one- i saw it on a Palmstreet live sale and completely lost my mind- i needed it immediately 😂 It’s been sold out for a while & in the meantime, i forgot the name….until now! It’s definitely on my 2025 wishlist tho- thanks for this💚✨🪴
❤your collection! Stay safe, Girl! I’d be loading those plants up on a truck and heading East 😮
Thanks so much Lori!! 💚If it came down to it- i would 💯 be saving; 1. That big queen, 2. Voldemort, and 3. Terrence (of course) 😆🪴
This is so good!!!🎉 LE
Thanks Alicia!! 💚✨🪴
Loved to see your favorites! Cheers!
Thanks so much Michelle!! 💚🪴✨
いいね!Good !
Thank you so much! ☺️💚
I hope this video means you are safe from the fires! <3
Hi!!! Thank you so much for this! ☺️ Yes we are💚
hi, try to build the root system first, use stratum, moss, aquarium tank or whatever you have then transpant later, they need time to acclimate by the time you build them a strong root. Anthurium thrive only with good root system.
All are valid ways for building a healthy root system, absolutely 👍🏻
I LOOOVR a good wenglingeri! I got my first tiny little TC one that is still a runt size and I paid too much for. I then found a local nursery selling decent sized ones (not quite with that pendant shape for $10!! 😮 so of course I got 2. I cannot wait to see that leaf structure change and of course the corkscrew inflo
Wow! That’s an awesome price! Imagine when you’ll have 3 large ones in a year’s time👏🏻💚🌱 Fantastic✨
Thanks for the advice!
Ur welcome! Hope it helps💚
First some wine because I'm tired. 😂 MOOD
😂😂Right?! Cheers! 🍷
Hi, one question: based on what is not a long term solution?
Hi! The stratum? It tends to break down and compress/turn really mud-like after some time when used alone.
Mine iFlorida Green is growing but has 3 leaves with damage. I can't visually see any bugs but see the damage. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
First of all, ughhh i’m so sorry! First, if the leaves with damage look pretty affected, i would cut them off. Then i would try to decide if its fungal/bacterial damage or pests. Rinse the plant off regardless in case it’s a pest. If it were mealy bugs, u would be able to spot them so i doubt it’s that. Could be spider mites tho- they are so hard to see. U could treat your plant with a spray that works for mites. Avoid systemic granules- it doesn’t work for mites. Decide if u want to try a more natural remedy or a pesticide. I rotate pest treatments so that the pesky buggers don’t develop a resistance to one type of treatment. Good luck!! FL green is tough- i know she’ll pull through for you!💚
I left my bird like Edgar outside in a cage like that thinking it was best and a fox ate him after he got the cage open. If he’s still alive DO NOT leave him outside. I was heartbroken 💔
Oh that’s so awful! 😢 I’m so sorry to hear that! Edgar has since learned to fly & has rejoined the rest of his family. They are often spotted in the nearby trees of my sisters house💚
Oh I’m so happy to hear that! I felt so awful and dumb. I thought I was doing the right thing but it wasn’t the right thing. I’m so happy! Thank you!
Great video for this newbie! Thank you!
Fantastic! Thanks so much & good luck on your anthurium journey! 💚💚
I’m a new subscriber.
Thanks so much! Welcome & Happy New Year! 💚✨
❤ gorgeous
The plant you're holding is a tissue culture. RPF paid $$$$$$ to TC the Delta Force. PrettyInGreen has a video about it. Nice DF here! I picked up one in a 2" pot recently for $88 and can't wait for it to grow.
Wow! $88!? Thats an amazing price & i hope it’s well behaved for you. The little emergent at the end of the video is now larger than the previous leaf & I can really start to see that trademark leaf pattern so looks like its a pretty quick grower🤩 Best of luck with your plant & thanks for watching ☺️💚
Would love to see you and sister in a shared video! My sister and I also collect plants, though not always the same ones.
I mentioned this to her 🤗 So hopefully i can get her in on a video soon. Same here- I definitely gravitate towards the velvet anthurium and my sister loves a huge, weird looking philodendron! 💚
Yes agree these needed to go😂 I have one large clari and 3 small/seedling size clarinerviums - I love them !
Me too!! And i can’t even say with confidence that i would be able to say no to another big, voluminous one🤣💚
Yep I didn’t treat my mamai well either. We listen but we don’t judge 😅
🤣 My sister just left and took all of her plants with her- including that mamai! Hopefully she has better luck with it than i did 💚
so satisfying! 😊🪴🗑️
Right? Clean slate😊💚✨
yes, the purge. I am going to give some away that are perfectly fine, they are just different crosses that I bought as babies thinking they would look different and they all have an air of sameness, just don't need 5 different crosses that all look nearly identical.
Totally get that! Listen, we all have a type😂 I seem to be collecting a ton of red crystal seedlings & long narrow papi’s. Good luck with your purge! ☺️💚🌱
I always love it when Terrance makes an appearance! 😍 Merry Christmas beautiful!! 🤗🌿
🤣 Thanks Natasha! He’s always making his mama proud 🤣 Merry Christmas to you too😘💚🌱
Yep doing the same! Your sister is getting a gem on that Clarinarivum!
Yaaaas! 🙌🏻 And thanks! I ended up combining them so she is really getting a lovely plant 💚😊🌱
Had similar experience with a mamei. Gave it away after recovering it, I think, but that weird leaf thing it was doing I didn't want to chance having to go through again. Your videos are so good I think because you keep them short and don't over produce them. Maybe you won't get burned out like alot of utubers seem to be getting.
Thanks Kristie! I appreciate that so much😊🫶🏻 💚 Sometimes if I make a long video it feels like I am making a feature film 😵💫🤣 Shorter videos def work better for my lifestyle st the moment. I saw a video a while ago with the leca queen & she was not a big fan of her mamei either…different reason tho, she didn’t like how it was crawling and taking up too much floor space. I guess u and I can file this one under ‘plants we thought we could get excited about but fell short’
Not sad w the noodles 😢 I feel that.
Nooo not the Zamora baby leaf 😢
Ughhhhh I was so gutted! It’s currently about to flower tho 🤩
Return to oz was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Great reference! ❤
Of COURSE u love that movie as much as I do🙌🏻🙌🏻 It’s the best. The Wheelers used to scare me so bad tho😂💚
