I don’t think it’s really stated. But would they still feel pain? People can starve and still get weak and live with terminal illnesses. So i presume pain is still a thing, so could you imagine living your life suffocating in cold space but not being able to do anything for eternity, that’s scary.
I think that the brain would rewire itself and we would get desensitized to hunger and pain pretty soon.
