I really like slippi's system. it seems like they are taking a lot of inspiration from ufc and other one on one sports. it generates a lot of hype an attention towards certain matches. there is opportunity for the players to sell the fights to their people, and talk some trash. i think it will be great for the game.

One reason is that in Scandinavia we have English speaking films & tv shows with subtitles, as opposed to dubbing like they do in France, Spain, Germany etc. Languages like Swedish & Norwegian are much smaller languages; they're really only spoken in Sweden & Norway respectively(by our relatively small population), so we don't really bother with dubs. (Except for with kids-movies & shows lol) Also, Leffen is of a younger generation(born 1994), so he grew up with the internet, which is a major perk for english language exposure :p

Melee took the punches and almost died i think 2 or 3 different times, you all deserve this, i played seriously for 2 years and love the game, ill always be back to see where you guys are, melee is truly something special... thinking about this game makes me shed tears, its truly the actual best game of all time, with the best background, if our world collapses, i hope the aliens find melee as the last remains of humans.

There is a ranking and deranking component as well, and all Ticket transfers are handled by the bot. Our next module (finishing this month) will integrate with Smashgg so that we can also reward Tickets to people playing in brackets. Tickets are backed by our earnings and donations on Dlive.tv, and can be used to claim prizes posted in our discord or as entry to big pot tournaments hosted by MMG Google us and check it out :)
Ive never once considered a streamers life schedule on covid before this stream. Having to wake up after 1pm because theres nothing to wake up to cause everyone else is asleep and arent able to do your normal daily activities every single day sounds soul crushing :/
People are way more relaxed sitting at home playing melee. Hbox preys on people making mistakes and spacing errors which top players seem to do less of on slippi online. If he keeps entering tournaments I think its only a matter of time before he starts clapping again.
I just feel like Hbox doesn't care enough about playing melee seriously atm because none of the wifi tournaments count towards the ranking and he makes a lot more money streaming and content-creating instead of winning wifi tournaments.
