- The Brabus 7.3S is a unicorn variant of the Mercedes W140 S-Class sedan. In period this car could cost upwards of $300,000 depending on the extent of the upgrades, which corresponds to over $500,000 dollars in 2023. Owned by mob bosses and celebrities, business men and dignitaries, the Brabus 7.3S was one of the Mercedes tuner icons of the 1990s. We're very happy to have these two Brabus W140s as part of the Patina Collective, and we look forward to sharing these cars with the world at the Patina Collective Museum!

I still have some of the old Brabus catalogs i think they called the wrinkle leather Mastik leather. Cool cars these are such throwbacks. We used to drive customers customized W140 in NYC and hit up all the clubs in mid 90s in class. We use to tell the ladies the cars had bullet proof glass with the double pane glass. 😂

The official term used by Mercedes for this interior leather treatment is "ruching". I'd have to agree that sounds better than "crinkling". Great stuff guys!

I own a W140 600 V12, one of the best Mercedes ever produced
These guys get it, i daily drive a W140 in DC, Maryland area. Been doing that since 2019. Im a 90s baby and grew up drooling over these tanks. Now living in the states made it possible. Mine is definitely not a 7.3 but exact half of that. Going for the manual transmission swap and turbocharging route. Its got inline 6 with the same strength and power of a stock 2JZ, its called the M104. Best straight 6 out from Germany. All my cars are 90s, a manual 92 Lexus, an LT1 5.7 Cadillac fleetwood brougham made in 95. And an 01 W210 Mercedes 4matic wagon. Its the lifestyle. Thanks vico and patina collective for showcasing how the big dawgs did it in the 90s.

Certainly a rare sight, seeing two 7.3S models side by side. Black is the archetypal Brabus color, but something about the silver one really strikes my fancy; it's such an ordinary paint color on a regular Merc, but ironically uncommon on a Brabus.
Brabus epitomizes the concept of Autobahn blasters; on those unrestricted roads, you could just tap into that immense power and ride on the massive torque, all while sitting like a king in those comfortable seats. These earlier ones are also nice and understated in their styling compared to later models.

Man, those are such beautiful and clean examples of well put together W140 S-Class sedans. I almost bought a 1997 S600 coupe a couple months ago but the seller had sold it from underneath me 😞. Wasn't a Brabus but had the iconic V12 and was extremely clean for the year with 140k miles. I was really looking forward to owning one of these vehicles. It would have been a steal of a lifetime no bs. I know these are already beginning too appreciate in value so my chances of finidng another one at that price are slim to none!

What you guys should've done is post an insert of the interior of a normal w140 to show the difference between brabus and stock, brakes, engine and interior bits.

That M120 was so good, Pagani used them in their supercars with up to 600 horse from a normally aspirated V12! The best part is, they are durable and very reliable, unlike bmw’s 5 liter v12

He had to put 20k into a perfect lookjng car and he was so upset we couldn’t find the super rare brakes. The shop couldn’t find anyone with the brakes.

Great Episode! Ying Yang of Brabus. Nobody builds crazy output engines like Brabus. The Brabus Monoblock 3's have a more solid feel that accentuates the W140 Bank Vault vibe for sure. Lorinser wheels are my favorite for C126/W126/W140. WALD Kits and wheels are also dope still - You have a WALD kit Benz in the collection maybe? That would be a sweet episode. #Blessed 🥗🐫

The 7.3‘s are Great! But as Daniël already pointed out in the movie is that although they were the “same 7.3s engines”. They ended up all having different hp out puts.
