How low do you fit the breathable membrane? Do you touch the soil underneath? There is about a two foot gap between floor boards and soil under our house. There are large air vents around the base of the house so good airflow under floor.
Normally you would only add insulation to the depth of your joists so the membrane would be level with the bottom of the joist. You must retain good airflow under this/ not obstruct any vents etc.
