    I love the way it turned out, I thought it looked great before you textured the top, but it turned out absolutely beautiful ❤

    I'm glad I'm not the only one who goofs up occasionally, lol! I had a top a week ago that got horribly muddy! Oh well, it doesn't happen often and you have to be able to shrug it off, when it does happen!

    I am not making soaps but some of yours remind me of Edward Munch and his swirls and waves of subjective interpretations of reality. This is art. You are creating some of the most beautiful soaps I have ever seen on this platform. Do you do impressions like your own interoretation of Van Gogh's colours and his swirls? I would like to see that.

    I like the textured top! Every time I watch you struggle to get the soap out of the mold, I have the same thought: If you drill a couple of small holes in the bottom of your mold, as few as two, that should help elevate the vacuum suction you've got that's contributing to the difficulty. They shouldn't impact the final soap at all. Anyway, just a thought!

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I think the problem with these molds are they are homemade and the top is slightly going inward and that’s why it gives me trouble 🤦‍♀️🤣

    How long after pouring the white and black did you wait to make the impressions with the spoon? I'm fairly new to making soap and I'm still learning.

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually around 5-10 minutes. Sometimes longer. Depends on the fragrance oil and how much I blend it. The longer you blend the faster the batter will set up :)

    After you pour your soap how long does it take before you can make the spoon indentations? Mine takes a while and I’m not sure if it is normal. Thank you for your inspiring videos.

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on the fragrance oil and how much I was able to blend before I pour it. Sometimes it takes a couple minutes, sometimes 20-30 ☹️

    I'm just curious, is there a benefit to using the heat transfer method as opposed to more traditional ones? Does it move slower, or is it just simpler?

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  ปีที่แล้ว

      It just saves time. Instead of having to wait for you lye and oils to cool to room temp. You can soap right away with the heat transfer method :)

    Hi, why you don't add your pigment to oil, i see you add it directly, is it better.
    Thanks in advance

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s just a personal preference. Micas I add dry. But if it’s a pigment I will mix with oil.

    Question: Is the water hot or does the lye heats up the water?

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lye heats up the water to over 200°f :)
