In this Pro Tips 4U sports training football video, Chicago Bears backup Quarterback, Caleb Hanie, goes over the 3 Step Drop. Learn the secrets of your stance and weight distribution. How long your steps back should be and how to move your upper body so as to keep your shoulders level and not closed. Caleb also goes over your stance after your 3-step drop and why it’s important to keep your legs bent and compact. You’ll also see how to make your throw quick and explosive. (Run Time: 8:30)
Caleb Hanie is a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. He was originally signed by the Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2008 after playing his college ball at Colorado State. He has thrown for 679 yards and three TDs in his pro career.
Caleb's instructional football videos for Pro Tips 4U focus on drills on how to improve your play at the quarterback position. His tips focus on the basics like the proper grip and throwing motion as well as technique for the three-step and five-step drop, how to execute a bootleg, understanding the quarterback's role in the running game, position strategy as well as the proper stance and technique under center.
People are throwing shade on a former NFL QB here like they’ve just built a HOF career themselves. Caleb Hanie has achieved more success in the NFL than any of us
He never won a single game.
Bah_Bah_Feet no matter how many games he won, he still had more success than any person in this comment section. My original comment was lost on you.
Excuse me. I was a Chicago Bears fan. Caleb Hanie was such a tease. He flashed potential in the Pre Season and then 2010 NFC championship and then completely blew the Bears 2011 season. He lost games against some really, really bad teams. Had they won even once, that Bears team makes the playoffs. He spent 6 years in the league and never won a game. That's his legacy.
Bah_Bah_Feet once again, you’re STILL are missing the point. MY point is that he played in the NFL as a QB, which is more than any other person in this comments section and yet people here are talking down about him.
I am just as capable of losing an NFL game as Caleb Hanie.
Great content thank you!
Interesting 😮
Really helpful as a young qb
he came from my high school :D
Are the they supposed to be crossing in their legs in the drop back?
How would you not…? By not crossing you aren’t gaining ground and will probably cleat yourself
cool
Drop straight back. Telagraphing where your throwing. Not always gonna be to the first or second receiver.
Adam Reck you mean DONT telegraph..
Are you still as ignorant 5 years later? Or maybe you learned a little bit about the game by now?
@@AlphanumericCharacters no idiot,,, same true than now as it was than!!! Even more! If you can't see what I see in this video your a complete moron!
