Very entertaining and informative video! I was aware of how one uses their tongue to create certain tonalities, but your video clearly demonstrates this technique. For want of a better term, the German "growling 'R' " sounds seems to fit in quite well. As an aside, I personally have difficulty prouncing the "R" sound in English, as it sounds like the letter "Ah". Lol. Great video Didgemama, I am hungry for more. Have to wait a whole week. Do you have vids about your Australian aborigine adventures cause its kind of my dream to be there once.. not very likely too happen soon these covid days. Tot volgende week
I received my first didge a couple days ago and I had NO idea what was involved in play. I am a sound practitioner and will be leading sound meditations by June. Were you doing all those practices in one breath? I'm struggling to get a consistent breath. Will this come with practice and strengthening the core/diaphragm? I guess what I'm asking is, do I need to be focusing on circular breathing before following these tutorials? maybe I just need to see about lessons🤣
Hi dear Heather, so wonderful you got your first didge! Yes these exercises you start without Circulair Breathing, these tutorials are set up to help you get circular breathing. So practice from number 1 and then go to the second video and at one point you will come to the video of cb. Good luck and have fun!❤️🎶☀️
I am curious if you have ever been guided to do astral travel while someone else played or you led others in astral travel while you played. I see astral travel as something normal that everyone does when they sleep. I would imagine that it would be great for one person to play for 20 or 30 minutes while other people lucid dreams and travels with their minds eye and spirit.
Hi Sonia, I’m glad you found my tutorials. The R in the back of the throat, you have to put the tongue in the position where you say NG. And then push air through it. Good luck!!!
I find getting a decent drone sound a bit tricky. I can get a deep low sound and vary the sound a bit, but run out of breath. I have watched your first three videos and keep trying different things, although I think really I am stuck on lesson one. Love your lessons, but not sure I am getting it right!! Will keep going, but I think it is going to take me a long time.

I just found your videos! I have been trying to learn this for like 3 years to no avail. :-( I am just not getting the circular breathing thing. I can get sound. It is the breathing that is the problem. My didgeridoo is just a cheap like pvc material but I can get a sound on it. I can't seem to do this breathing thing though.

Hi DM, Thanks for sharing your knowledge. When you are doing the tik a ta tik a ta tik a ta where are you breathing in? Probably to late but can you put your long fringe up. When you turn and play your hair covers your throat. Thanks again
Hi dear Mark, Your dizziness comes from breathing too much. Try not to breath to your chest, only belly out as in-breath. Good luck and have fun. ❤️☀️🎶
Daft question, but when I'm playing through the didge, should be mouth be open or closed? I seem to be getting much better sounds just blowing through pursed, vibrating lips but with my front teeth closed. Plus, when I move my tongue, it sounds right, and I can control the note like you do. But I assumed - maybe wrongly! - that I should have my mouth open when blowing? Any ideas? Thank you!
Not sure if I understood correctly, but when I play my molars are almost together. But every shape of lips and face is different, so if it sounds good it should be good. You can always send me a sound file or video of your playing (didgemama@gmail.com) and then I can tell you if what you are doing is correct. Thanks for your question. ❤️☀️🎶

Thanks❣️ Many funs to practice my tongue 😁
Shanti Nagomi tongue is excellent and a super muscle to explore!!! Have fun 😀😋
Great video Didgemama, I am hungry for more. Have to wait a whole week. Do you have vids about your Australian aborigine adventures cause its kind of my dream to be there once.. not very likely too happen soon these covid days. Tot volgende week
Peter, thank you!!! I will post a video of my adventures in Oz this week one day!!! Stay tuned :-D
@@DidgeMama I will, ben benieuwd
My nose is cracked and I only breathe through one nose. If you can empathize, you can understand my situation. Can I still live this life?
Yes you will make it. I can circular breathing through one nostril.
👍✅👍
Maybe yes!!!
Great Lesson. Thank you for teaching me how to Kiss good ☺️
My absolute pleasure 😃✅
Hi! I found you page after search so much here and It's wonderful.
I want to know, how do you do the R sound behind the tongue? Like gargle?
Hi Sonia,
I’m glad you found my tutorials.

Hi Christopher, thanks for reaching out to me. Maybe I can help you on a zoom lesson? So we can look at it together. Let me know if you would like that idea.
Sending love and light
@@DidgeMama I don’t want to put you to any trouble, but a zoom lesson would let me know if I am any where near right.
@@christophersanders5300 we can do a free 15min try out lesson. Or you can book me for an hour to an hour and a half for €60. So we can get you really started. Let me know what you would like. I’m pretty busy the next couple of weeks, but might have a bit of time, here or there. ❤️🎶☀️
@@DidgeMama Dear Lies, thank you very much for your offer. I am a bit busy myself and will be all over the place until November. I will contact again when I get back from these commitments and then arrange something with you. Xxx.
@@christophersanders5300 perfect. I’m busy until half November. ❤️🎶☀️
Leuke & goede les Mama !
Blij dat je dat vindt. Liefs
Now I need to practice 😁 but I have a question, does a larger diameter mouthpiece make it easier to vocalize on the didgeridoo ✌
Raymond Czapiga maybe, is possible. But the nice thing is if you incorporate your jaw dropping during vocalizations, you don’t need a bigger mouthpiece.
Este video no tiene traduccion al castellano la podria agregar muchas gracias
No se como hacer esto, lo siento! 🙁
Love love love your tutorials!!❤️❤️❤️
So happy to hear!!! Keep loving them!
Hi nice you found my channel. See how far you go with my tutorials. If you get stuck, let me know. We then can set up an online lesson. Good luck and have fun ❤️☀️🎶
And start from video #1 then to #2 etc. 👍✅
Hi DM,
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. When you are doing the tik a ta tik a ta tik a ta where are you breathing in?
Probably to late but can you put your long fringe up. When you turn and play your hair covers your throat. Thanks again
No breathing there. So just filling up sound!!!
Have fun! ❤️☀️🎶
It worked for 2 seconds I have a very inexpensive and I'm dizzy from blowing too hard
Hi dear Mark,
Your dizziness comes from breathing too much. Try not to breath to your chest, only belly out as in-breath. Good luck and have fun. ❤️☀️🎶
i keep defaulting with my lips to make the tik ka tik sounds. tongue movement seems very minimal?
Fast and minimal. No change in lip position or airflow, so only tongue.
mahalo 🙏🏼 very helpful. looking forward to watching the rest of your videos.
@@shaanscreativemind great to hear!!! ❤️🙏☀️
❤️☀️🎶
@@DidgeMama Thank you, I will do that! Much appreciated!
@@42kenward have fun and good luck with it! ❤️☀️🎶
Thank you Mama 11.11 🔥🐰♥️🙏 Hmmm... kissing? my mind is obviously much less clean than yours 😉😇
Hahaha yes it's our secret. I mean us Didgeridoo players, don't tell ;-)
ANd you are welcome :-)
