Preserving History: Paul Escolar

Paul Escolar. Every yoyoer should pretty much know his name. The tricks you do? Yeah, a good portion of those ideas were done by Paul. Tricks like Kamikaze, White Buddha, Green Triangle? Yeah, that is all him.
Paul Escolar is pretty much the godfather of 1a, when during 1999-2001 was when he and other yoyoers in the yoyo group "Spin Doctors" in California were pushing yoyo to unbelievable innovative heights. Developing true trick theory, creating tons of new maneuvers that no one could even think of at the time.
The yoyo community needs to thank Paul still to this day because without his ideas we would be so far backwards as far as tricks are concerned.
This video was made out of respect for Paul and all his material he made between 99-01. These tricks are the staple of 1A and everyone should see them. I've seen other players get the treatment where they find old clips and put them together..well why not Paul? Gabe also had re-recorded tricks that was for his PSY project but it was never seen the light of day in a more centralized manner..until now.
So I present to you- Preserving history: Paul Escolar.

The thing that got me is that he is playing responsive aswell!!! These tricks are difficult enough even on a unresponsive 1a throw but to be this inovative and creating such intricate tricks for his time on a responsive throw! We are not worthy!!!!!!!! ;p

Did PE create the 'Magic Drop', as in Kamikaze?
Every 1A yo-yo'er who wants to get deeply into it would do well to work on some of these, Kamikaze and White Buddha are great 'gateway' tricks, gates that lead to creating your own stuff.
I never got round to learning 'Red Clover' and 'RC II' or ' K II Yellow Airplanes', oh well.

Yes, Paul used a Duncan freehand One which is a responsive based yoyo..
