They're both amazing, pure energy! Have You seen Eddie Vedder live? He's right up there with them... (And I might swear in the church here or something, but Dee Snider is sick on stage too... :) )
That's not strictly enthusiasm. It's also terror and gratitude mixed. He rehearsed this song with those guys and knew that even if he played that part as hard as he could, Bruce was still going to blow him straight off the stage with that last verse and that guitar solo. Dave is up there hanging on for dear life, and loving the chance to do it. Henry Rollins has talked about the same thing happening to him when he's played on stage with Iggy Pop.
Aaron David Lol, he can sing. I hate when people say rocksingers can't sing. Just shows that they have no clue of what they are talking about what so ever.
Bruce Springsteen and Dave Grohl???!!! Is this happening ANYWHERE again? These are my 2 favorite artists, I would literally board a plane and fly wherever to see it.
If you look at Dave Grohl, he could be in any band in the world, and he would fit in. His versatility and look makes him perfect fit just anywhere. He could be in Prague symphonic orchestra playing violin an you would say, damn, this guy is good🤘
@@alpha2zulu854 Are you trolling or just stupid? Bruce started out as a lead guitarist in 2 hard rock bands, back even before the record contract and release of Greetings in 1971. The idea that he can't play guitar is nonsense repeated by people who are just uneducated (I'm being kind here). This was a staple every night during the 1978 Darkness tour th-cam.com/video/DWos8TS9yaE/w-d-xo.html
I reaction to Dave and Bruce is so muted, if I was at a gig and they just said please welcome my friends David Grohl and Bruce Springsteen I think of just die
Took one of my boys to see Bruce this year. Next year he's coming to see the Foo's. He's going to LOVE seeing this clip when I show him. REAL music by REAL musicians.
My first time seeing all 3 of these great performers with my son James shortly after he moved to DC to start his Masters program at American University. What a night, we didn't have sight lights like this!
In my humble opinion one of the absolutely best combination of music, lyrics and performing artists. With one big exeption: the audience. Are they dead?
This is fabulous. Thanks for posting. Grohl's gravelly voice is sheer perfection for the opening and Springsteen at 65 does a fine job summoning his earthly rasp. The only one who's a bit too clean in vocals is Brown, but then again, he's the youngest in the group and may not have as much experience matching a cover's intensity. Love this performance.
Mr. Dave Grohl give's his all every time! That's so amazing to me! Even when he is by himself-he doesn't falter. Nirvana, Queens, Foo Fighters - All are so amazing! Thanks Dave!
am sry to be catching onto this video this late... but damn!!! this is best performance and energy played into another artists lyrics that I've ever heard, period. Thanks vry much JacobsC' for bringing this.
Until January '19, I lived two blocks from Wrigley Field. In terms of loudest concerts, numbers 1 (Brown), 2 (Grohl), and 3 (Springsteen) are represented on that stage.
I swear dave gives 110% at all times
R&B nation you bet! !!
I read that he once only gave 105%. I still don't believe it.
I'm guessing that's what it's like when you truly love what you do.
At Least !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dave is a beast
Bruce and Dave are probably two of the hardest working frontmen on the music scene. The energy burst they deliver music with is amazing.
They're both amazing, pure energy! Have You seen Eddie Vedder live? He's right up there with them... (And I might swear in the church here or something, but Dee Snider is sick on stage too... :) )

@@nathanieltaylor8004 i can’t disagree with that.
@@robertmattssonmusic2807 Add Alice Cooper too......
Dude, that was magic. All their voices blended together beautifully into an epic anthem. Rock isn't dead.
Somehow Dave Grohl's angry approach is just perfect for this song given the lyrics
Ah man, Springsteen’s solos always reminds me of an especially gnarly bar fight. Fkn epic tho.
I know what you mean! A knife fight in an elevator..........
But didn't the boys do just fine at this gig?
Underrated guitar player
Money kills everything except Grohl's enthusiasm

Tax payer dollars in schools:

Benefit concert, so probably played for free. He’d have probably paid to play with Springsteen
Yes!!!
The law firm of Springsteen, Grohl, and Brown will make you fortunate son. 😜
Springsteen and Grohl on the same stage. Two of my all time favorites!
"In the future every band will play with Dave Grohl for fifteen minutes." - Andy Warhol's Ghost
StephenGrayce thats fuckin Gold😂
I genuinely laughed out fucking loud mate. That's GOLD!
Hahaahaaaa!
You might say... *Concrete* and Gold.
Yes! Well played sir
Dave shouting his heart out on the first stanza... Shite that's a voice made to shout and shout handsomely
ya cos he cant sing
Aaron David bye then 😘
Aaron David Lol, he can sing. I hate when people say rocksingers can't sing. Just shows that they have no clue of what they are talking about what so ever.

2:08 the boss is makin that guitar talk and I like what it’s saying
not sure if you know it but that was a fake solo. He can't play like that, never has been able too. LMAO
Even Tide you are clearly very ignorant and oblivious 👍🏻

@@alpha2zulu854 haha good one. I think you'll find Bruce is a very capable guitarist. Go and troll elswhere
Think he played solo A minor pentatonic but tuned down whole step so it sounds like its in G. He flat out ripped that solo.

I agree. I would be speechless 🙊
Im with Harvey, id just die on the spot. The problem is big corporations and their free tickets denying the true fans
Maybe that’s why it was muted. They were dyeing
Very nice of rock legends Springsteen and Grohl to share the stage with a guy who comes over like a particularly inoffensive barista.
Its Zack Brown, you fool.
@@klausdaniel7633exactly
Bruce tears it up on that guitar !!!
i dont think anyone loves music more than grohl doesnt matter what song or who he is playing with he is all in
Dave... Can sing everything!!! Fakk... How i love that guy!!!
Dave… can scream everything, for sure!!! ;-)
He did a recorded version of it with John Fogerty and it is awesome.
He is such a complet artist in every field
Bruce Springsteen pretty woman
Makes me want to hear what Trent Reznor would do with the song
Anyone else think dave grohl is the 90s bruce springsteen? Underappreciated and never ever takes a note off
Simply put, this is the manifestation of the spirit of rock and roll.
¡Yes! 👌
One thing about Dave: He always gives 101% whether it's the signing or the drums...
Oh my giddy aunt! I just discovered this gold. OMG!!!!!!
Man, Dave is an awesome drummer, guitarist and can sing almost anything perfectly, what a dude!
Only seeing this now. Oh my goodness! Incredible. The energy that both Dave and Bruce give is amazing!
Bruce Springsteen and Dave Grohl......perfection....did this song proud.
Long live Boss.. your guitar solo is great.

An anthem for our times, come round again.
Melissa MJ me too
Preach. Fuckin' A
Sadly this is a timeless classic that fits the distant future as well as now.
Creedence Clearwater Revival forever
Danny Giggou correction fogerty forever seeing that without John there is no creedence
I've seen Dave singing other artists stuff and he's always so enthusiastic. You can tell he just loves rock and roll.
He has respect.
Grohl stole the show….what start to a classic song…It couldn’t been done better….❤👍
I love youtube , the only place where you can dig diamonds like this!
When you are “The Boss”, you are always “The Boss”
All amazing. Bruce can play that guitar. Amazing performance
Wow! Dave please do a full studio cover of this. I love John Fogerty voice but i think you do it justice.
Actually foo fighters have done one already
What a great blend of voices...nailing it...and Zac doing what he always does....keeping us rockin, toes tapping and big smiles on our faces😊💕🫂
Crowd goes freakin wild when the boss comes on stage ❤️
Dave Grohl is astonishing!, he's in everywhere gig.

Bruce is KILLIN it! Wow! geez. He is THE MAN.
Cody Pankey that's why he's the boss
Cody Pankey no, he's The BOSS 😁
That solo! magic
Crazy talent on that stage
This is downright stellar. Damn.
That was absolutely so sick and so amazing!!
WOW...One of the best performances I've ever seen
With the right facial expressions and attitude it'll rock hard no matter what notes you play in the solo
Dave, setting the pace perfectly. There’s nothing that man can’t sing.
Damn Bruce Springsteen is still SMOKIN HOT!
Fantastic version!
Mr. Dave Grohl give's his all every time! That's so amazing to me! Even when he is by himself-he doesn't falter.
Nirvana, Queens, Foo Fighters - All are so amazing! Thanks Dave!
That pop when he announces Bruuuuuuce!
James Flowers it sounded like boos?
That's what I thought too.
Jo-Ann Hrunka Broooooooooooce, it's a classic. Pro tip: no one ever boos Bruce.
Also said another way: Nobody boos The Boss!!!
"Are they saying boo or boo-urns?"
I love when generations and genres come together to jam.
If Sprinsteens voice is not raspy enough for you... :)
This should have 700 million views. And OMG when Bruce played the lead and just killed - well, I kinda lost my sh**!
What a trio! Pure magic!❤❤❤
Cracking cover of a cracking track
This is the greatest video on internet !
What cosmic forces aligned to make the most amazing version of this that could possibly happen?
He calls out two friends that are probably the two most talented musicians in the world how could he go wrong the smashed it lol
What a great live performed Forgerty - song!
This ... Is Rockn Roll People !!!!! The Boss , One of the best drummers of our time , and a new Country Legend in the making .
Amazing performance
Bruce fighting with his guitar never gets old.
Nothing makes me change a radio station faster than Springsteen.
Y porqué lo ves?? Muchas envidia es lo que hay
Just the odd bit of talent up there!!
Wow loved this song in the first place but Dave an Bruce wow, wow, wow, we are the fortunate ones.
ive always thought this song was perfect for dave
FUCK GROWL AND EVERYTHING HE FUCKS UP !!!!!!!
Martin DEAN Fuck you
This is beyond words.. just.. amazing .. brilliant..legends 😎
Wow, Dave Grohl kicks this into gear right from jump.
Literal goosebumps from that first verse &l chorus.
Tom Fogerty is quoted as saying " I knew I could sing but John had a sound " and in my view it's inimitable.
One of my favorite videos, I watch over and over! Band sounds great!

Man! All I can say is WOW!!
Great version of this song. Bruce rocks!!!
Bruce, Dave and Zack on one stage! I can die a happy man now!
Dave and Bruce really capture the spirit of this song...
Seeing Mr Grohl in 2 weeks in London. Can not wait 😀😀😀😀
THAT WAS AWESOME .
This is a work of art
Great solo Bruce! 🔥🎶
This is incredible
One of the best songs to perform live... Love it
Totally killed it. My dad loves CCR.
The Boss guitar solo appears so simple yet would kick the ass of most "million note" solos out there. 😎
Living legends play together, beautiful!🎸❤️🔥🎙️♠️🤘
First time hearing this brilliant what a cover
This is actually heaven
Wow!! Springsteen .. ❤
Gave me goosebumps
Incredible from Dave.
Loving Dave's downstroke punk influence :D All we are missing now on this stage is a man called Mike Ness
What a fab trio
Until January '19, I lived two blocks from Wrigley Field. In terms of loudest concerts, numbers 1 (Brown), 2 (Grohl), and 3 (Springsteen) are represented on that stage.
One of the best performances of this brilliant song that carries so much meaning. Epic.
ok,that was unbelievable. Wow
Dave Grohl has taken his place amongst the all-time rock gods.
