Not hating on Toyota, but I’ve owned both and I enjoy this car more. It’s easy for me to say. I did say (can’t remember in which video) that I have no idea if this car will be more reliable or last longer, but that I like it for what it is right now. I’m a realist. I know that the Toyota may be better. But for what it is, for the price, this car is simply more enjoyable for me.

@@myboringchannel just kidding man. It's your choice. Toyota has some weak points to the point that I prefer Mazda and the new sportage is a very pretty car. The price comparisson is accurate.

I switched to Hyundai and Kia back in 2011. I can tell you that just like any manufacturer you may run into issues. I can also tell you if a turbo goes bad after 6 years, that it's still covered under warranty. 10 vehicles in total, the turbo is the only issue encountered and we have yet to see a spot of rust even on the 9 year old Santa Fe, and thats in the snow belt of Western New York. Oil changes, fuel, tires and brakes is all they need.
