    Love the tangent about "don't let age stop you" - couldn't agree more! I'm 23 and I am working on getting my life together- I'm looking forward to being older and having a place of my own :) maybe then I'll start collecting teacups!

      Maybe Happy Gals Vintage should start carrying mini shelves just for displaying small collections of vintage teacups...

    Loved your video! Did you know that it was a Portuguese princess Catherine of Braganza, who set the fashion for tea drinking in England back in 1662. ☕️

      Thank you for watching. No, I didn't know, but that would have been a cool fact to have included in my video I made about drinking tea: th-cam.com/video/Jb6eynaNWaA/w-d-xo.html

    My Daughter-in-law was collecting sets with the intent of opening a Tea Shop. I now have a portion of her collection in my China cabinet. In order to avoid damage, I have been using small paper doilies when I stack them. . . . is or could there be a possibility of damage over time?
    Do you advertise the blooming tea balls? I have 2 clear tea pots just for them.

    • @happygalsvintage7711
      @happygalsvintage7711  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello. I like your idea of putting paper doilies between stacked teacups. I don't think there is much chance of damage over time unless you are stacking them higher than just a couple at a time or they are in danger of being rattled frequently or knocked over. I have not used the blooming teaballs, but they sound very interesting. Clear teapots are fun! Thanks for watching and writing.

    Hi. I have just started a vintage tea cup collection. What would be your advice on the best to store each set...thanks Jo

    • @happygalsvintage7711
      @happygalsvintage7711  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Paul. I would suggest you store them in a dry place away from direct sunlight that is in the temperature range of 55 to 80 degrees farenheit. It is better to store them without stacking them in any way, and hopefully out on display where everyone can enjoy them! Thanks for watching and commenting. Good luck with your collection!

    I am into vintage antique furniture (items), but I don't see the point of collecting an incomplete set. I'd rather purchase a complete tea set.

    I started using a vintage bone china teacup I have and it's getting stained. Is it because I'm drinking green tea or how does one deal with this

    • @happygalsvintage7711
      @happygalsvintage7711  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cheryl. You might just want to let it soak with a bit of soapy water inside between uses. That will probably take care of it. Also, a mildly abbrasive sponge used carefully can help to remove the tea residue before it stains the bone china. THanks for watching and commenting.

    A footed teacup has feet, the description of the first teacup is a pedestal, not footed.

    I went looking on your webside even though i know buying anything from a webside outside of EU would break my bank.
    You got a lot of nice cups for sale. but lucky for me maybe, not my dream cup. I have to keep looking
    14:25 Yelp Ok i use my cups every day, both for myself and my guests. I would not dream of letting them grow dusty on a shelf. But I am not sure I would let a smal child THAT age handle my cups. Yes they can break it happens, but that is asking for it Hahaha. My nerves could not handle that
    PS: sorry to complain but I have to ask. Do the music need to be so laude? It is very distracting and making it hard to hear and understand you. Sorry

      Thanks for writing. I am glad you have fun using and enjoying your teacups with your friends! Thanks for the feedback on the background music. I have toned it down in more recent videos due to similar feedback from other viewers and subscribers. Thanks for watching! :)
