Garage: Replacing a Front Clutch or Brake Lever on a KTM dirt bike (250 XC-W)

  • Watch how to change a front clutch or brake lever on a KTM dirtbike. Although this is a KTM 250 XC-W, it is the same on most KTMs and should work for yours. Easy repair and done in minutes. You will need a 8mm wrench / socket and a new lever.

    I did the same thing on my ktm 2005 model after i had a little crash, but it wont make the rear tire spin when i squeez it in any gear

    What’s the little black bit in the spring for I noticed mine doesn’t have that?

      Just a rubber stopper. Comes with it usually

    What's that lil spring for I feel stupid for asking since it's very small in comparison to clutch lever so does it really return the lever to its original spot

      Yes. It returns clutch lever back to fully extended

      @ArcherRX1 Not sure but you can use a spring from a pen if you want. Works just as well. Cut down as may be needed.

      Try a KTM OEM dealer. You might have to buy the entire lever. Not sure.

      Any KTM parts dealer. There are also inexpensive third party replacements.
