Fantastic video, it amazes me how much abandoned rail infrastructure there is, that could be used in some form or another.

    Tranquil, sad, soothing and spectacular.
Those bridges are works of art. I enjoyed that. I watched it on the Big screen so I could pay more attention to all detail.
    Well done. 👍

Thanks, O'Mallee! Did you see the burned sleepers on the Gilbert River bridge at Hamley Bridge? I don't have the reference anymore but I heard it was damaged in the Pinery fire a few years back.

Thanks, Daryle. I work hard to find decent music without copyright issues so your comment is much appreciated. There's at least three more drone comps to come so stick around!

Great part 2 Mike. I have done a drive to Cambrai a few years ago myself, then tried to follow the line back to Monarto. Fascinating stone bridges at Sandy Creek & reedy Creek. I've also gone out to Stockport & taken some photos where the tracks used to branch off to penrice or continue to Truro.
Very little left of the Truro yard other than a few cuttings & concrete blocks.
With your good fact hunting skills, can you confirm if the Mt Pleasant station used to be somewhere behind the current police station? Or was it back a little?

There is a small rock with a plaque in it noting the site of the Mt Pleasant station just opposite the entrance to the showgrounds. I went for a wander and found only what 'might' remain of a crane. You can see the plaque right at the end of this vid.
