I don't know what's more impressive, the amazing work you did on this video, or how well you write text with your mouse!🖤
Appreciate you! We use a pen and tablet to write haha. Thanks
can you do a tutorial on this? would be so helpful for my teaching!@@TenfoldProduction
Dude your channel is amazing, I really love how real your breakdowns are. So many channels where they pretend like all their shoots are top-secret endeavors and can't share anything about real shoots so it ends up being a lot of repeating the same few generalities over and over. You provide concrete real world examples and break them down thoroughly. Showing us how you get to the look you want shot by shot is invaluable.
Appreciate the kind words! We try to open the doors to filmmaking as much as possible, because we’re TH-cam filmmakers at heart haha. Hope you’re enjoying
Hello, sir. I rarely write messages because I have to do double work with translation, but then I decided to write from the bottom of my heart. Very useful content you make. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
I've been waiting for a full breakdown on that film right at the moment I saw it. It's really beyond words to describe the effort that your team has put into providing free cinematography insight based on your team's work!
Thanks so much Tòn. Really appreciate the support and kind words! We have more to come soon.
I love how you provide the power settings of the lights! Really gives an idea of how much you need for these beautiful shots!
Great work man! 🔥
Thanks for the support Rodric 🙏
Your one of the only actual film makers in the art house school of cinematography making educational content. I have no clue how you find the time to do this but please keep doing it
Haha thanks so much! We definitely prioritize TH-cam as we love building this community of filmmakers. Thanks so much for the kind words
Your videos are really a blessing to beginner cinematographers
Thanks so much! Means alot
Fantastic breakdown. I appreciate the natural look you've got going here, and I love the rig breakdowns. One suggestion: add the link to the final piece in the description and cards/endscreen, cause I didn't know where to find it right away.
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback

Love the detailed breakdown of lighting in this video! Could you consider making a tutorial specifically for creating a cinematic look in a woodworking shop? I’d love to learn how to adapt this style for my woodshop videos!
It's super cool to see how much care is taken to craft the light!
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words

love love love this breakdown. Curious about the lens, are those Zeiss Jena? getting ready to shoot my first short and this channel has helped me immensely. thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Nikon Ais lenses!
great explications ! thanks for that
Thanks Allan!
This came out amazing! Any chance we could get a color grading tutorial from this video production?
Wow! This is impressive, I love the level of detail. I’d be interested to understand more about how you plan all the shots before. Like the garage door scene sounds like you tested it before and knew what materials you needed. So do you scout the space after storyboarding the commercial?
Hey tenfold! Great breakdown! Can I please get a link to the magnet used for the garage shot? Thanks!
Here they are! amzn.to/3TUq9RE
Man, I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. 2 videos in and I feel like I learned more than in 3 years on the job at a small agency.
I do have one question! The shot you open the video on, that crazy orbit with lots of motion blur and a sort of time-lapse effect.... how did you do that? I have a Sony a7iii, is it something I might be able to replicate?
Hey Sean, thanks for the kind words! It’s doable on most cameras, we’ll make a detailed video about it in the near future! Appreciate the feedback
@@TenfoldProduction thanks for the quick reply!
Please, for the next time, say what focal lenghts you are using in the shot. Aprecciated. Great job!
Thanks for the helpful information! We'll definitely add that for next time
Very nice! where can i see the full video?
Resilience - A Cinematic Film (Sony Venice)
th-cam.com/video/uSr6OsOl6Is/w-d-xo.html thanks!
Hi! Very cool job! Thanks for the Breakdown. I’m a beginner in this field, and I’m very interested, before you came to shoot, did you have a ready-made plan for what to shoot? Who came up with this story, and how were the music and sound design chosen? It would be interesting to understand what happens before you come to shoot, and how post-production happens. Thanks!
Thanks for supporting! Check out some of our other breakdowns where we breakdown the behind the scenes and pre production!
this is all so so insanely helpful to see, thank you guys for this content. Also out of curiosity, which sized Sachtler Head and Legs are you using for the Venice? Aktiv 10 and Flowtech 100?
Thanks so much! Activ8 and Flowtech 75. It’s not the best for pans and tilts, but gets the jobs done.
Thank you for all that you do!!! This was wonderful. Now if someone could please tell me how y'all achieved that blurry / low frame rate effect on the intro shot 😩😩😩❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
We’ll be releasing a video around that shortly! Appreciate the kind words and for supporting.
@@TenfoldProduction Woohoo!! will keep an eye out, and of course. Thanks for the engagement and wish you the best 🫶
Love it! Thanks for the in-depth breakdown. What lenses were you on?
Thanks! Nikon ais
This is so good man! Quality content as always, would love to see the full commercial, where can I view it?

thank you 🙏@@TenfoldProduction
Excellent breakdown, love the pen you are using to draw all the lights and equipment.
What is your best tip, to be able to see the art of lightning like you do? :D
+1 subscriber
Great break down! I didn't hear you mention a budget for the project or what you spent on labor. What kind of brand will pay to bring all these resources to bare? Thanks!
This series isn't over yet, so we'll add it into the next one
Where can I see the final product?
Thanks for creating this, very helpful! Which set of nikon lenses did you use?
Vintage Nikon Ais
@@TenfoldProduction Thanks :)
great breakdown! what software are you using to draw on the scene?
Thanks! We use a combination of photoshop, a drawing tablet and obs
awesome
Thanks Paul!
Awesome video, and your work looks great!
Where can I find those magnets? Thanks!
Side question: is that an Akitv8 with the flowtech 75 supporting the Venice? I ask because I always thought the Venice might be a touch too heavy for that. Let me know if it was a case of "this isn't ideal but we will roll with it" or "this is actually fine". Thanks.
Not ideal, but worked for this project. It was a spec job, so just trying to keep things in a reasonable place. Works for most of our projects ( we use this combo a ton), but for bigger pans and tilt moves, an OConnor is going to be better.
Why did you chose the AIS lenses over the popular options like FDs, contax or Leica ?
Really love the look I'm currently also building a set of AIS vintage lenses
This was spec, and we owned the Nikon ais lenses already. Made the choice simple for us. We’re a fan of the look of them and they’re easy to use.
@@TenfoldProduction ah I see! love them!!
Any one know how to write notes on video or image when using davanci reslove to explain ligting break down like this video ? what tool or website ?
We do ours in Photoshop!
Hi, may i know what is the name of first 4 secs shot effects done
how do you archive jaggy movement on the beginning ?
Shoot and editing tutorial coming soon!
Where can I see the actual commercial?
Hi, what lenses did you use? It has a nice vintage film look.
I really love these cinematography breakdowns.
Thanks! Nikon Ais lenses
How did you mount these to the sony, an adapter? @@TenfoldProduction
@@TenfoldProduction Also curious on what adapter you might use ?
How do you write your diagrams on the videos?
informative content
Thanks John!
i have the same beard style as you and a very similar haircut Annnd I'm a cinematographer as well. even our nose looks the same I feel like I'm looking at future me lol
Haha nice
Hey buddy, do you have a course?
