Tour The Sites Assocaited With The Hanging of Nelson "Cooney" Mitchell In Hood County, Texas

The Bridge Street History Center visits the local sites in and around Granbury, Hood County, Texas that were associated with the Mitchell-Truitt Feud which claimed several lives in a gunfight near Contrary Creek. We also visit sites associated with the trial of Cooney Mitchell, an attempted jail break, his hanging and his final resting place in the Mitchell Bend Cemetery.
