I really don't see how normally Superman wouldn't be able to lift it. He is such a boyscout exactly like Captain America. The fact that he doesn't dominate earth and even says things like "I have no right to impose my will on these people." That alone should make him worthy.

He was not deemed, 'worthy'. Captain America is very similar to Thor in a lot of ways and so- is deemed worthy, however what exactly that means is kind of left up in the air. Beyond that, Marvel constantly changes the rules of what being 'worthy' means so it is exceptionally hard. If I were to guess though I would say that 9 times out of 10 he isn't worthy.
Michael Sondergaard Thor himself is barely deemed worthy, Cap is much more worthy than Thor, it isn't until his sacrifice at Ragnarok does Thor live up to the expectation. Has to be the only explanation.

I remember the one where Captain America picked up the hammer it gave me chills. That was a great story!! The struggle that Cap went through to pick it up was a great story on how his friendship overcame even the hammer to help his friend. Even Cap was being pummeled by the enemy also. He even helped the Avengers get back together during that whole dying Celestial story. While he appeared to be his old self, he actually tricked the heroes into reforming the team since it didn't look like they were going to do it without a little nudge in the right direction (Heck! He even protected Cap at the center of the sun!). Idea: You should do a tally of the Thor Corps, the hit squad of God Doom. Identify all the characters in the group. There were some interesting Thors in there.

Is that version of the hammer even enchanted in the first place? Because nothing i read about U. Thor says the Hammer is enchanted and not a piece of tech.
