The colours you look “best” in, according to colour analysis, are the ones that will look the most harmonious on you. If you wear certain other colours, you will look more alternativ, rough or dramatic. Most people don’t have black in their “good” colours. It will make them look pale or make their face stand out less, etc. Which may or may not be something that you actually want, for example when dressing emo. So, not wearing your “best” colours, is not necessarily a bad thing:)
You're the opposite of me. I'm bubbly and like pastels too much. But then I got winter cool as my color. My whole world becomes depressed nowadays 😌. I pinned a lot of winter colored style clothings on Pinterest after the analysis, but still couldn't bring myself to feel happy about it. The quality of my pictures improved too much after I started to wear my colors, but my heart, sniff, my heart, doesn't seem to feel that happy even when I look much prettier and younger nowadays 🥲.
I went to two personal colour analysis in person, one by Japanese one by Korean. The Japanese one said I was a warm tone Spring Light with Summer Light as my second season. The Korean said I was a definite cool tone Summer Light. Now i'm confused but I guess I'm definitely a Light? :D
You should do some research and try to experiment with clothes, like try to see if you have warm or cool undertones. You probably are a light but it seems like you have to figure out if you are warm (so spring bc it’s warm) or you are cool (summer bc it’s cool) See if you have more yellow or blue in your skin, see if gold/rose gold or silver suits you the more
I went to the exact shop that Miki went. The analyst actually mentioned that there are different versions of colour analysis. Specifically mentioned that Japan adopted a different system. So maybe instead of focusing on the season names , try to focus on the colour palette of each system suggested. And try the colours out yourself ~
@@momolu1402yes I was going to say this too! Korea also uses a different set of colour palettes for their 12 seasons to the western 12 seasons. Here you have summer whiteish, summer pale and summer mute whereas in the western 12 seasons system it’s light summer, soft summer and true summer. Look at the palettes they give you and see what similarities there are between them. The fundamental thing here seems to be whether you’re a cool tone (summer) or a warm tone (spring). Doing some basic tests to work that out by holding up clearly warm vs cool shades to your face should help
To say you are a warm spring light is all redundant! A spring is warm and light, AND clear. YOu could be a "light" if they mentioned summer. You are primarily one and secondary of the other, which means you can wear some of the Secondary palette to complete your color palette due to the fact some of those colors that are not great from your primary palette would be deleted. What colors are you eyes?? Curious. Keep us posted!

I feel a little confused about how she’s said that you should never wear your natural hair colour. Part of colour analysis is about helping clothes work on harmony with our natural colouring eg I have very dark hair - when I try to dress in winter, spring or autumn palettes, my hair doesn’t match my skin and either leaves me looking washed out or just clashing. I hennaed my hair red for years because I thought I was an autumn and that was the only way to make it work. But when I wear summer toned clothes, it harmonises with my hair and doesn’t clash so harshly with my skin or blend into my clothes. I remember seeing someone say that if your natural hair colour aged 20 isn’t in some way represented in your palette, that palette can’t be right for you. But all of that is said with the understanding that the Korean 12 seasons system is different to the western 12 seasons eg in that app I’m a summer mute with secondary summer light because there’s no true summer (which is my actual palette). I’d be super interested in seeing you get your colours done in the US as well to see the difference!
There are true summers, but summers are the rarest of the four. What colors are your eyes? There are NO brown-eyed summers! I was the national trainer for Color Me Beautiful and agree with you about hair color, natural. Your hair color sounds too dark to be autumn, and perhaps summer. I would have to see. You are also right, that something does not "feel" right!. The key is to figure out what it is. You could be a combination of 2 seasons. Keep me posted;-)
@@ResearchAPG my eyes are green with some grey to them (although in some lights they are closer to a cat eye colour - they have always shifted between grey green and yellow green even since I was a child) , my hair is dark brown with no warm tones but isn’t as dark as a pure black. Yep REALL! No, it's not outdated. you can't change Science to fit your narrative. That's like saying 2+2 = 5 now because it's "in". Color Analysis is a science. NOT an opinion, it is about facts. Now Artistically, what you do with Science is another whole process. And yes, artistically, you should be personalizing your client's image. But you have to include the clothing style of the person, body type, and face shape. The whole picture, to truly create a professional image for a person. How you chart the colors is another way you can adjust the palette to the person. There are different processes out there. Find one that works and makes sense to you. I am not being a jackass about this, but I have been doing this for years and done thousands of people, and there is so much misinformation, mis analysis out there, that I can't stay silent any longer.
There are definitely true summers. They are just very rare. They are; however, extremely beautiful. And when they are draped in their colors, it's so obvious. Keep in mind, there are NO dark brown-eyed spring or summers! Scientifically can't be accurate.
This feels like the exam with your optometrist. 👩🏻⚕️: 1 or 2 which one looks better?, 1 or 2 Me:. Mhmmmmm idk they look the same.. maybe 1? One more time??😅
Loved the video. I tried the app, and I was shocked. I have dark brown/black hair and eyes. So I thought dark autumn, but when I followed the prompts, my results were autumn mute. Now, it makes sense why really dark colors look odd, dull, or old looking on me. 😅
I think you looks so much brighter with soft colourfull colour such as light yellow, Green light , pink etc..the pastel colour also looks good on you but the brighter one looks like it match ur personality as well 😁🙌 But now, i wonder how u look like with bold colour like BLACK DRESS WITH RED LIPSTICK ? 😍😁🙌
I agree, the lavender is too cool and muted for a spring. There is no way she'd suit it so well if she was truly a warm season and based on how amazing she looks with the cool tones on her left shoulder at 0:58 and 1:35. The analyst calls the cooler tones at 1:35 spring which confused me. Then again I'm not a professional lol
@@silverhiver at 0:58 she's using the cool but *spring* tones, so they're warm really. Spring also has blues, violets... But all of them have a drop of warmth (yellowness). In the end, she is a light spring, meaning her main trait is lightness. So, even if her skin is warm, she can "steal" cool tones (like that lavender) as long as they're light.
My mom used to be an Image Consultant with Color Me Beautiful a long time ago & has always told me I'm a winter. Took this test, I thought it was going to do it FOR me. The directions & tips on the app are confusing. Turns out I'm a winter-dark cool with winter dark & bright. More dark than bright though, I have always gravitated towards darker colors too, probably because of my mom's influence. No complaints here though.

What a rude thing to say. The stylist is supposed to blend in with the background so she doesn’t interfere with the analysis. The red lips are just for communication.
she still looked gorgeous regardless. and plus she probably didnt want to bring attention to herself as the whole point was to find colors for her client .
Work uniforms are not supposed to be your best colors 🤷🏻♀️ Specially when you work in beauty and your goal it's to make your client feel like the star of the show.
So if it's reflecting colour on us its not our best and if it is absorbed it's good...im trying to figure mine out for long time I love white, sage, pinks and coral lips, I don't love grey I just can't rely on camera pics though which is a more accurate representation of our skin with eye comfort shield turned on I look warmer and when disabled I look cooler..I would say I'm medium level intensity ive grey streaks now so ive softened
Your skin absorbs or reflects color. When your skin "color it makes everything "bad" more prominent. When your skin "" color, then everything "bad" is less prominent. particularly testing between Spring and Summer. A good color to visualize this, when testing between spring and summer, is peach versus pastel pink. If you place the two colors on top of each other, and quickly pull down the top color, the face will brighten or become drained of color. Remember, absorbing, which is the drain of color look, is not what you want. So if one looks better in the peach, then they are a spring. If they look better in the pastel pink, then they are most likely a summer or are cool. Just because a gray is in a palette, does not mean you look good in it; however, you can still be that palette. In fact, the gray I added to Spring was a dove, gray. I removed the grays from Autumn, because, I may have seen one Autumn in the thousands I have analyzed, maybe one looked good in it. They flowed into summer. I do a charting system that identifies your very best colors, wear as a solid anywhere on the body, or as a color to mix with other best colors from your palette, or those that should be worn in smaller, accent colors, OR, as a solid below the waistline only. I think you are giving too much attention to your skin tone. In face, unless you are obviously golden, warm, or porcelain, white skin, you should look at your primary color. We used to do foundation tests to determine your season, but I found out early in my career, that hair is often, the most prominent determination factor. Again, many factors go into the choice. But that is why many times winters as they age, lose pigment in skin and eyes, and can go autumn if their hair is colored, or softened. Hope this helps. Unfortunately, there are many myths out there because of a lack of proper training. For example, if your skin is warm you are warm, if it is cool, you are cool. Not always the case. And don't look at your veins. UGH, that is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. For Caucasians, if you look at the under wrist it's going to be lighter and look cool. Why? Because white is a blue base color. And it is NOT just about the skin. Look at the skin hair and eyes combined. What's the story? The BIGGEST mistake an analyst makes is making autumn, a summers. I was guilty of this early on in my career. But not for long, I caught it quickly, because I was misanalyzed as a summer and I am really a spring. @@kellyizo8348
When I look at my skin hair and eyes combined I always feel I need to add colour on cheeks or lips because I am blended bit again age we lose pigment I'm wondering is it that

Tbh I feel like she just told you whatever you wanted to hear - she asked you what you think and of course you would have a bias towards colors you like (as would anyone who did this), and then she just agreed with whatever you said but made it sound like it's her professional opinion😅
Totally agree. I always ask my clients their opinion but it doesn't change my opinion of what I see. I want to make sure my client is happy with the result, but not at the expense of getting it so wrong! This is the worst colour analysis I have ever seen!!
Next time I go to Seoul, I want to go to two places and get my personal color analysis. ^^ Probably this place and another place just to be sure. I wish they checked which tone of white fits you the best as well. I remember seeing some other places including this, and I thought it was nice. 😊
What on Earth is spring pale?? And summer pale? She has there summer soft (mine btw), summer light, and then summer pale (that is not the lightest one) and then spring vivid (I guess this is bright), spring light (that would be I guess true spring bcs it is medium) and then spring pale (that is the lightest one).
👩🏻⚕️: 1 or 2 which one looks better?, 1 or 2
Me:. Mhmmmmm idk they look the same.. maybe 1? One more time??😅
I love how thorough she was.
Thank you for sharing this amazing experience that you had with us all👍🏾👏🏾🤗 and your new hair color came out looking amazing ❤️🥰.
Loved the video. I tried the app, and I was shocked. I have dark brown/black hair and eyes. So I thought dark autumn, but when I followed the prompts, my results were autumn mute. Now, it makes sense why really dark colors look odd, dull, or old looking on me. 😅
I find this really relaxing for some reason
That was actually so cool to watch, I’m interested in seeing what works for me!
OMGG I've been waiting for this!!! tysm miki! please please please make more skincare and makeup videos❤
What's this specific location called? It's very hard to find English-speaking color analyst in Korea 😭
you are glowing with that last makeup, this is so cool
I think you looks so much brighter with soft colourfull colour such as light yellow, Green light , pink etc..the pastel colour also looks good on you but the brighter one looks like it match ur personality as well 😁🙌
But now, i wonder how u look like with bold colour like BLACK DRESS WITH RED LIPSTICK ? 😍😁🙌
This is the first color analysis where I genuinely agreed with every decision!
This is really interesting and pretty good ASMR material as well.
I think your might be a light summer. Lavender color truly makes you shine.
I've been wanting to go to a place like this. Seems like a cool experience.
Where in Korea did you get this done?
The colour analyst chose the wrong colour tone for herself 😢 her lip colour and foundation tone are both wrong to her 😅
Yeah I agree
I was about to say the same thing.
Not to mention the hair color which doesn’t seem to suit her at all
Honestly, I think you both chose wrong colors for yourself.. I think you both have cool undertones)) Changing hair color doesn’t change your skin undertone…
@@dreamchaser7603her natural hair color is cool toned, so that means she’s got cool overtone
but if you’ll ask a color consultant they’ll tell you cool overtone doesn’t mean you have cool undertones
This was a very ASMR experience. Kinda wish we could’ve seen her use the skin tone scanning device!
I just loved the blonde on that color analyst it looks so ❤❤❤
You really look good in purple
Wait…. Is the specialist Vietnamese??? her soft accentttt is definitely from my hometownnn
Just did my color check through the app mentioned and it came out i’m winter bright and summer light
Always knew i’m cool toned cuz warm colors doesn’t match me at all!! Especially autumn colors 😵💫
Prolly gonna go take color analysis in person to check if the results came out correctly 😪
do a grwm w her recommended colors PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MIKII
I just tried the app. I have no clue I was an autumn. This is so fun and really hard 😅
it’s kinda confusing when you do color analysis by yourself ngl 😂
I am bright winter and light summer according to this app 😵💫
Kinda jealous cuz autumn colors are definitely don’t look good on me 🥵
Going to Seoul in a couple of months...Can you give more info on the studio?
Where did you get your color analysis done?
Hi!! Can you share where you went? I’m visiting seoul soon and i wanted to know!
so basically you can do the same thing just going to a clothing store and trying on a few different shirts and seeing which one makes you feel best?
Great content thank you!! Would you mind sharing the details of the lady at the color analysis studio in Korea?
The app doesn’t have an option to pick dark skin 😅
thank goodness they have this app for android, too!!
As if the stylist red lipstick and blond hair suits her 🙂
What a rude thing to say. The stylist is supposed to blend in with the background so she doesn’t interfere with the analysis. The red lips are just for communication.
Thank you so much wish I can go to Korea but, the on line one looks interesting
Wait, but that color analyst didn't choose the right colors for herself! How can you trust a person like that? 😂
I was thinking that too
she still looked gorgeous regardless. and plus she probably didnt want to bring attention to herself as the whole point was to find colors for her client .
maybe she didnt want the colours of her own clothes to interfere with her client's analysis?
she probably doesn’t care 💀
Work uniforms are not supposed to be your best colors 🤷🏻♀️ Specially when you work in beauty and your goal it's to make your client feel like the star of the show.
It’s important to pick the right consultant by looking at her fashion and colour compatibility 😅.
for anybody getting confused about the difference look at her chin. you can see the colour of the fabric reflecting off her chin
So if it's reflecting what does that tell us? And if it's absorbing into the chin what does that tell us? Curious on what that means.
When I look at my skin hair and eyes combined I always feel I need to add colour on cheeks or lips because I am blended bit again age we lose pigment I'm wondering is it that
What do you mean you loose pigment?@@kellyizo8348
the colorist has a vietnamese accent!
I’m curious: did she just go straight to summer vs spring or did she try autumn vs spring..? Btw, I’m completely winter dark tone!
A friend getting married had all the bridal party do this and I got bright spring🤮 i hated and still do the entire color palette. And the alternative thw consultant said i could "borrow" from also a hard nope. I loathe bright colors pastels and think i looks stupid in the colors.
i dont care for this type of video but i wanted to support and leave some engagement! here!
The bold colors were the prettiest colors there. I can't believe she didn't like the colors.
me too, she skipped the dark shades because she doesnt look cute in them but actually they suit her character the most and in soft colors she looks weird like an adult in kid colors
Hmm, I personally think she looks more in Harmon in darker colors, but yeah, as long as she happy with the result, it's all that matters.
How much does it cost?
wtf, im just looking at the wall with the seasons. and my true/cool winter is nowhere to be found. and no equivalent there. instead having dark winter and deep winter at the same time, what the... i wounder wher i would fit in with her weird system, deep winter?
i have tried everything but i dont know whats my season :( i do know that dark colors dont look good on me. i have no idea what color makeup to use
Man I just got a personal colour analysis today too. She got the EXACT same results as me for everything 🙃🙃
Hello! Im going to seoul soon and want to do this, but I cant find the salons that have english translation. Could you help a sister out with the name of where you got this done?
Spring pale looks more elegant
Honest question: I can see the point of a color analysis but dont most girls just put on foundation and make their skin tone even regardless?(when they do wear it). Like couldn't you make any color work by chsinging the foundation?
This is soooo fascinating !
Thank you for teaching Me how to do this. ❤
How did it surface on my timeline? And what is this colour analysis? They are calling colours by the names of seasons😮😮
Tbh I feel like she just told you whatever you wanted to hear - she asked you what you think and of course you would have a bias towards colors you like (as would anyone who did this), and then she just agreed with whatever you said but made it sound like it's her professional opinion😅
That isn't true, she disagreed quite a few times...
Definitely agree with you she don’t look professional and she definitely can’t work with darker skin tone
Totally agree. I always ask my clients their opinion but it doesn't change my opinion of what I see. I want to make sure my client is happy with the result, but not at the expense of getting it so wrong! This is the worst colour analysis I have ever seen!!
Reminds me of the Running Man episode where the members did this too! It was hilarious 😂
Hi Miki! Where is that and what is the name of the personal colour analysis?
How early should you book an appointment?
I thought you had a haircut 😅
If I ever get a color analysis done, I'm getting a few for some scrubs ❤
I downloaded the app but Still can't figure out which is good for me
Hey Miki, which shop do you go?
What do I choose for hair color if I have a blue fade in my hair?
as an hijabi i need this
Can I ask which Cocory branch you went to?
I think I am dark winter but after I use the app, the result is spring light. Ok I'm confuse now 😅😅
Where is the app, please?
@@ResearchAPG it explain on 14:39. Search color lover lab co and check the app with diamond icon.
a noticible difference under the chin where the colour is reflected
Next time I go to Seoul, I want to go to two places and get my personal color analysis. ^^ Probably this place and another place just to be sure. I wish they checked which tone of white fits you the best as well. I remember seeing some other places including this, and I thought it was nice. 😊
I love emphasizing my dark circles. I'm not goth, but I look very fat without mine.
So confusing
She offered up great information
I liked the method but her pace was too fast or anxious and explanations not too detailed. I've watched several colour analyses and I think a part of the experience is when the expert is soft spoken, takes time and explains everything.
Which company did you use? 🙂
Did the app test, surprised to find out I’m a Dark Winter Cool 3.🥶 I thought cause I’m Chinese I must be warm in retrospect makes sense ppl complain my wardrobe makes me look homeless. Come to think of it the makeup that I ask Sephora artist to pick for me they always chose deep berry/ raspberry colours, greyish brown, nude reds. I thought what weird dark colours nah imma also get this BRIGHT PASTEL PINK blush and these pink red lipstick no wonder I looked like a 🤡
not me choosing the other option every time 😢
The technician seems like she’s from Vietnam not Korea
What is the name of the place please and what is the stylist name please? Thank you 🙏 ❤
Can I ask what shop is this pls
Light spring gang🥹
Thank you for sharing 😊!!
How much does something like that cost. Wow what a shocker, you look better with the after results. You did that on purpose for effect.
Wjat os the app called
Ahhh I’ve never been this early! Any deep autumn gals??
