I gots to hunt for that first Plastique. Mostly because I LOVE Juliet Landau's voice for her in Justice League Unlimited. Also, she's just cool in the comics I read her in.
Just got that firestorm run 1- about 30 from a friend who sells really cool run. Also has the first appearance of slipnot, felicity smoke and some others I think.
As someone who sifts through every dollar bin he comes across - these kinds of videos are great! Learned a ton and will keep my eye out for some of the issues. I could definitely go for a “10 MORE dc keys under a dollar” video 🔥
Wow firestorm. I used to have the three Supermans that introduced him, and the first 10 issues back in 84. I have no clue what happened to them? Lol. Wish I had them now.
This is the best channel on youtube What i like the most is that there's a lot of DC, hard to see these days where most ppl just go with the flow, you decided to stay true to yourself
You know, I have said many times, and in many places. I am not a huge DC fan, and I blame my childhood lol, just love Spidey too much. I am glad you are out here making cool content like this. I learned a bunch watching this, and stuff to look our for. Keep it up.
I wanted to add another comment. I really like most of your content, your upbeat, and your not a hype machine. It also helps that you have an affinity for DC which is less common, and have a good focus on green lantern.
I'm not a really big DC guy but this was a really good list. My kid is a huge GL fan and you've given me some ideas for stuff to pick up for him. Keep rolling out the great content. Just as a side note I've been to Cyborg 1 and it's on the periphery of my LCS haunts. Great store.
THANKS FOR THE SHOW BUT YOU STILL MISSED JUSTICE LEAGUE TASK FORCE NUMBER 6 WHEN THE TEAM FOUND THE DOCTOR WHO WORKED ON BRUCE WAYNE BACK TO WALK AGAIN.
wow great video i love these kind of keys... i cant believe they are so cheap just hearing the key makes me scratch my head on to how they are not even on a radar
Fun list. As a Teen Titans fan, I feel as if there are just a crazy number of $1 keys. From Brother Blood, to Blackfire, to Terra, I find them so often I've stopped buying them. Still, the one that gets me the most is NTT 39. Both Dick Grayson and Wally West resign their sidekick personas and forever change their characters, yet its dollar book fodder all day long.
James, big time fan, first time commenter. Could you please do a video explaining "white to off white pages" or anything too do with those states of the book? Maybe a video breakdown of what graders are looking for, possibly a crash course in ratings? Keep up the good work.
Cassandra Sandsmark's 1st appearance is so underrated but I must admit that cover definitely could of been better. The Gray Ghost is something I'm looking out for. Excellent list!
There’s a bunch of teen titans keys and member 1st appearances that I see in dollar bins too like the 1st appearance of miss Martian and ravager (rose Wilson) which is crazy to me that they’re not worth more.
Thanks for the list. I manage the comic books for a collectibles store and most of the books on your list I have priced at $5.99 or $4.99, depending on condition, in my KEYS UNDER $8.00 boxes. BTW: I’m a solid DC Fan!
@@robertt9342 ~ Right on. My rule of thumb, good or bad, is that a key is worth, at a minimum, $4.99, since it has the potential to explode. Regular comics (i.e., non-keys) can range from $1.00 to $1,000.00, or more sometimes. It just depends. But keys are keys for a reason and $4.99 has proven to be a good starting point for our store.
Hi James, love your undervalued/underpriced videos (love all your videos in fact). I too don't understand why Ganthet's Tale isn't better known and more valuable: not only does it focus on Ganthet, not only is it drawn by John Byrne but it's written by Larry Niven! Who remains one of the premiere SF authors of the 60s to the present! This comic should be rare, being hunted by both comics and SF fans. Yet it lingers in shops and on Ebay, unwanted. Good point about Geoff Johns, he does have the skill of revitalising titles he's assigned. Yes, I would really like a Marvel equivalent video James (and for that matter non-Marvel and DC too, Image springs to mind) but if not then definitely more DC ones.
Another pair of keys (possibly minor keys) that I feel are undervalued are Detective Comics 647 and 648. 647 is the first appearance of Stephanie Brown, and 648 is the first appearance of Spoiler.
Another great episode, yea DC keys just don't garner the rising values like Marvel keys do. But I'm collecting these DC keys, hoping with Discovery buying WB/DC the quality of stories etc will bring these values up on DC keys. Definitely buy the keys on this list
I think with a lot of these the value must be based on how much people actually care about the characters who are appearing. Like henri ducard is a big and important figure in Batman mythos but I'm sure that like 90% of people who read Batman have no idea who that is or don't care.
I think it would be tricky to notate Ganthet's Tale as the first appearance of Ganthet since it can be argued that he appeared somewhere else before but was named only on that particular one-shot prestige format that bore his name.
Wonder Woman 105 is always on my hunt list as how can you pass up Wonder Girl?! Cassie has had multiple appearances and is an interesting character though not sure we'll get her live action. DC minor keys are the smart money play long term :) Manage to grab a few in local sales every now and then for bargain basement prices. PS: Loving that Swamp Thing #90 in its display :)
I found a JSA where Mary Marvel becomes part of Black Adams family I’m not big on DC. Would that have been a good one to get? The cover art by Alex Ross was nice! Especially the following issue where she’s in the cover as “black Mary Marvel”
Alan Moore slammed Johns for Blackest Night -- saying he couldn't believe they picked up his throwaway story for a big company event. He felt it was intellectually bankrupt.
I don't know if you've included these already but Batman Shadow of the Bat #1 (First appearance of Victor Zsasz) and Robin #4 (First cover appearance of Spoiler) are also cheap and common key books. They may not be big characters but they're pretty well-known for DC fans.
Definitely didn't get Batman Adventures #14 or Superman Adventures #1 for a dollar. Yes, Batman Adventures #14 was hard to find on eBay until it finally showed up (for nearly $40 including shipping). But I did manage to find Detective Comics #583 (1st Arnold Wesker and Scarface) raw for $2 at a con and got it back from CGC at 8.5.
Really hard to pay attention to what you were saying in this video. All I could focus on was wondering where you got that awesome Captain Carrot t-shirt.
Jamie, it is nice to know that there are collectors who actually read their books and thereby discover their furture value.
Always
Marvel guy in the room appreciates the DC education!!!
Can't wait for John's new JSA run.
Would love to see more of these for other prices and from other publishers
Will do!
I gots to hunt for that first Plastique. Mostly because I LOVE Juliet Landau's voice for her in Justice League Unlimited. Also, she's just cool in the comics I read her in.

Glad you like them!
Great video. Love hearing about diamonds in the rough
Wow firestorm. I used to have the three Supermans that introduced him, and the first 10 issues back in 84. I have no clue what happened to them? Lol. Wish I had them now.
These are cool and informative. It’s surprising the amount of comic issues that go unnoticed
Great video as always! As an avid Batman collector myself, would love a video where you showcase your Bat/Tec Golden-Bronze PC books.
Thank you very much for all the information. I am a big Green Lantern fan, and Firestorm for DC. Great books
Awesome video, not to familiar with DC, so the knowledge is appreciated. Would love to see more of these videos!
This is the best channel on youtube
What i like the most is that there's a lot of DC, hard to see these days where most ppl just go with the flow, you decided to stay true to yourself
Great info man! Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s much appreciated!
Great content! Thx 🇸🇪🙏
Keepin my DC eyes peeled now! Great video James!!
Glad you enjoyed!
@@MintHunterComics always do man!
Keep these vids coming dude! Love to see the cheap keys.
More like this please, great content!!!

Always love the videos, i like the increased production value, with the pinned sticky notes.
Haha thanks!
Love the video, watching it in 2023. Thank you
That's awesome!
Woop! Love it 👌
Yes! Do another DC video.
Yes please make more
I wanted to add another comment. I really like most of your content, your upbeat, and your not a hype machine. It also helps that you have an affinity for DC which is less common, and have a good focus on green lantern.
i have passed one all of these, now i going to pick them up this weekend, thank you and keep up the good work
Very good list!
I'm not a really big DC guy but this was a really good list. My kid is a huge GL fan and you've given me some ideas for stuff to pick up for him. Keep rolling out the great content.

Love the video!! More!!
More videos like these PLEASE!!You've doing a great with all this content.
Gotta have that Etrigan!!!
Thank you very much for the sticky note information next to the comic book that makes hunting so much easier.
Holy crap! I have that Detective #599 and of course out of the .50 bin, wow! I haven't read it in years but wow!
Always great suggestions. Thanks for another great video.
I loved this and definitely hope you do more of these videos.
Really enjoy these lists, thanks for all your hard work 👍
Loved Harold in the 90's. Great call!
THANKS FOR THE SHOW BUT YOU STILL MISSED JUSTICE LEAGUE TASK FORCE NUMBER 6 WHEN THE TEAM FOUND THE DOCTOR WHO WORKED ON BRUCE WAYNE BACK TO WALK AGAIN.

I did acrually! Look up "page quality wars" on my channel
Can’t take my eyes off of those statues around your background 👏
This was great! Please do another!
Great video just purchased Detective comics 599 for £ 2.24 in UK including postage , thanks for the heads up 👍
Cassandra Sandsmark's 1st appearance is so underrated but I must admit that cover definitely could of been better. The Gray Ghost is something I'm looking out for. Excellent list!
I totally agree!

Another fantastic video! Thx for all of your great work. Cheers.
Thank you! Cheers!
You definitely gave me some books to add to my list the next time I go hunting. Great video, James.
I picked up Wonder Woman 105 recently as well. Good book.
Very informative Top 10 as always, keep up the good job. You're a Beast!
Awesome video Jamie...after this video, these books will be hard to find.
Thanks for the list. I manage the comic books for a collectibles store and most of the books on your list I have priced at $5.99 or $4.99, depending on condition, in my KEYS UNDER $8.00 boxes. BTW: I’m a solid DC Fan!
That is expensive for some of them.
@@robertt9342 ~ Right on. My rule of thumb, good or bad, is that a key is worth, at a minimum, $4.99, since it has the potential to explode. More to come!
👍keep up the great vids ✌️
You missed a BIG one James. Legends#1 1st appearance of Amanda Waller. Criminally undervalued. Great video.
It is rare that I can find WW in dollar bins. Always grab them if they are there. Just got 5 different ones after hitting up 16 different shops.
You should do more videos like this dc or marvel
Very fun list. More lists like this would be great!
Coming soon!

Keep on doing it. Thank you. Great data.

Excellent.
I just got that Ganthet Tales, I had no idea it was Ganthets first appearance 😂
Great video!!! Great picks!!
Thanks for the Grey Ghost info
New subscriber here, got to say, really enjoyed the content. Thank for all your hard work.
Welcome aboard!
Bro new subscriber here nice videos picking up some details
Thanks for the sub!
I love stuff like this.
Same haha
Cool list

I sold my Green Lantern Annual #2 a couple of weeks ago for $12. Lucky me.
I think it would be tricky to notate Ganthet's Tale as the first appearance of Ganthet since it can be argued that he appeared somewhere else before but was named only on that particular one-shot prestige format that bore his name.
This is an interesting video. I hope you will continue to go down your list.
Gray Ghost did appear on the cover to Batman Gotham Adventures #3 in 1998.
I picked up a run of Wonder Woman from around that book in the dollar bins, 105 was the only one missing.

I love this series Dude ❤
awesome list
Please do more of these more DC and Marvel
I found a JSA where Mary Marvel becomes part of Black Adams family I’m not big on DC. Would that have been a good one to get? The cover art by Alex Ross was nice! Especially the following issue where she’s in the cover as “black Mary Marvel”
Today was a great show, you make the comic I’ll be a lot of fun.
Great idea for keys under a dollar , u can do under 10 etc,20
Alan Moore slammed Johns for Blackest Night -- saying he couldn't believe they picked up his throwaway story for a big company event. He felt it was intellectually bankrupt.
Sometimes he can be a bit... much haha
I’d like to hear how it’s intellectually bankrupt to take a throwaway line and make it into a major event, feels like that’s the opposite.
I don't know if you've included these already but Batman Shadow of the Bat #1 (First appearance of Victor Zsasz) and Robin #4 (First cover appearance of Spoiler) are also cheap and common key books. They may not be big characters but they're pretty well-known for DC fans.
I think that one's more like a $5- 10 dollar book
You gotta do a video where you buy up a bunch of $1 comics at garage sales/flea markets! :)
Good idea!
Everything except Batman stuff is under rated when it comes to DC comics. That's good for me because I am constantly buying
DC should’ve made a book named Green Knight(s). For a Green Lantern server. It sounds great and all the characters other than Batboi need a boost.
Just picked 18 issues of Spectre for a dollar each. A couple minor keys
More!!! More!! More!!!
Cool $1.00 comics video. 😀👍
I bet a couple of these will be super expensive and saught after soon enough!
Can you make more videos like this
I can try!
Any chance to go over Submariner before Marvel/Timely comics
I thought Major Force was a hero, but just kind of a bad guy?
Really hard to pay attention to what you were saying in this video. All I could focus on was wondering where you got that awesome Captain Carrot t-shirt.
Pls do another vid about underrated DC books
I'm sure I could do another one!
Cool comics
