This ride is pretty mild/family friendly. This exact same fair comes to my hometown too and I just rode it yesterday. The Matterhorn ride is similar to this one, but much more intense (it goes faster, and the vehicles are suspended and swing really hard back and forth). My husband and I are both pretty big wimps, and we enjoyed Silver Streak a lot and just laughed on it. Matterhorn was a little much for us (I was a bit scared and my poor husband was terrified, lol).
I don't know if I would want to ride this... The bumps and the speed are a bit much, and I don't want to go backwards either...
This ride was a bit bumpy but I still had fun. I love the music they play on these.

This ride is very painful
Ya it is a bit rough. And has a long ride cycle. But I still enjoy it. I like Matterhorn much better though with all the fog and strobe lights!
