According to someone's explanation, its not a force limb but a force hallucination, he uses the force to create a "mental image" of his hand and trick other ppl into thinking he has another limb, but this also allows him to use the lightsaber as if he has a hand

Star wars: the Dark Side is *not* stronger than the Light Side.
Also Star Wars: When you use the Dark Side you become a Super Saiyen.
The dark side is the easy way out, it gives you a temporary boost in power that will inevitably consume you.
Think of it like bodybuilding.
Some people use steroids to get to the results they want faster. Ultimately destroying their bodies in the process
Whereas people who build strength naturally carry over that strength even when they become old.
In short, the more time you devote to the light side the stronger you will be in it. And the more time you devote to the dark side the faster it'll consume you.
From what Ik dark side is just an easier path to power so it gets results faster but a Jedi can be more powerful than a dark side user it just takes more time and disapline ect. I think they showed that off very well in a certain scene with cere.

Love the fact that Bode decides to stay back for a few so that he can steal one of Dagans lightsabers which we find out towards the end of the game after we kill Bode. Its the small details like this that always manage to make me happy as both a fan and a gamer lol.

It's actually told to you through the entree of Bode in your codex that appears after the betrayal. It tells you that that lightsaber belonged to Dagan Gera.

I find it wack that we've never gotten to see these more abstract and powerful abilities in the movies, like Legends and the spinoffs in general usually have people teleporting, throwing around giant starfighters, creating illusions in battle, but in the movies the Force is basic until the plot needs it to do something bigger, making it seem like a power of convenience due to how basic its been since its film inception.

When the force in the OG trilogy before the prequel trilogy was more implied as a mysticism and believed it as a religion like that line by one of those officers who bad mouth Vader not believing his abilities.

First, he uses the force with his chopped arm, then he uses two lightsabers with one arm, lastly, he creates an arm and moves at lightspeed, guy is a beast

The Jedi during the High Republic were much stronger than the Jedi of the prequels era. They were at the peak of their powers back then as the Force hadn't diminished as it had during the prequels.

I love that the Dark Side functions like a Devil Trigger for Cal.
Cal didnt immediately kill everyone of them. He try to reason with them first until he really have no choice but to kill..

you should try kotor, it is dated but the story as well as the general ideas they had back then were amazing, The gameplay is dated but the game I feel like has so much depth.
Was this really Cal using the Dark Side or was it the Dark Side afflicting Dagan? This was my initial thought considering the Dark Side of the Force derives off of the unchecked emotions of Force Sensitives.

I really felt Dagen was done so dirty in this game. He’s such a cool character with an amazing story and background only for him to be killed off not even in the last act of the game. We should have fought his final battle on Tanalorr atleast imo

I was very disappointed when a blaster guy was the final boss instead. Yeah he was hard and fun, but not as the final boss bruh. In “Tactical guide”, when you defeat Dagan for the 3rd time, his description still stands in present tense, meaning it looks like he still was alive.
Yea he was extremely underwhelming, but I can kinda understand why because he was basically used to disguise himself as the main villain before bode’s betrayal
I thought that bode actually died at this part of the game and Dagan was using illusions to disguise as bode because bode was acting little suspicious straight after the fight.
@@ethanbuckley6364 saaaame. When Bode did the betrayal, I immediately assumed that Dagan had disguised himself as Bode. Especially when he used his force powers. As I found out later, that was never the case and instead I got a fight which I didn’t know was the final one. I left the game a little dissatisfied…
@@zigsynx5364 I highly recommend visiting some of the locations you were together with Bode where you can find Force Echos that show how Bode was always manipulating Cal. However the most noticible is in the that Droid Ship where you can hear Bode worrying about Cal and him being torn between his mission and his friendship.

@@MrJakeasaur98 balance works differently in Star Wars. George Lucas described the dark side as a “cancer” and that when someone goes to the dark side, they go out of balance. The dark side is more of a deviation, even though it’s still the force, it’s still bad because it thrives on negative emotions and takes from the user.

My interpretation of the movie saga was always that Anakin didn't fulfil his purpose of bringing balance to the force until Palpatine was defeated in Return of the Jedi, which meant balancing both the Light side in Revenge of the Sith and the Dark side in Return of the Jedi.
I don't necessarily disagree with what you have said either. If someone is entirely corrupted by the Dark side, then of course they are not in balance. Balance would be somewhere in between both, as we see with characters like Luke - he is of course a "good" aligned character, but he is not limited by the traditions of the old jedi order and its complete dedication to the Light side of the force only.
@@MrJakeasaur98 he said it in some interviews back in the 2000s when the prequels were going on. And I think we’re on the same wavelength, I agree Luke is a good example of what the Jedi should’ve been going forward, still embodying the light side of the force but not being limited by the teachings of the old, failed order.

Vader - despite having a walking life support suit of armor that was designed to make him more powerful in Canon, which is the complete opposite of what Legends Vader went through - wouldn't be able to defeat Dagan due to Vader's lack of Force knowledge even though he's superior to him in raw power and is vulnerable to emotional weakness and his own overconfidence.
Vader is more powerful the thing is Vader has had so much loss during his life. Those force illusions might actually make Darth Vader struggle a lot, I do believe he will win but it will be extreme.

Actually while playing the game, I thought Cal Kestis would turn him and Dagan Gera would fight Darth Vader or maybe even the Emperor. The Sith Lords needed at least some opponents to face during that time. Dagan seemed powerful enough to bring the fight, with the Force powers he was showing.

It's always bothered me how Cal defends the jedi order every time it gets criticized or insulted. Whether he wants to believe it or not, the fact that the Empire took over and destroyed them IS their fault. I know the order wasn't perfect and the republic was corrupted from within, but the jedi from the very beginning are, ironically, to blame for the whole sith crisis to begin with. Say what you will, it is the order's fault.

Cal is supposed to know this how though? He was a jedi as a small kid and in his eyes basically the entire world changed in an instant and the clones became evil and killed his master and other jedi, he doesn’t know anything about the council and the fact that they caused their own downfall somewhat.
As Sssneksss already pointed out, how is Cal to know these things? He was a young, naive Padawan when his training was stopped and from there went into hiding and was cut off from the Force. Cal only becomes aware of their faults through meeting Dagan and Taron malicos. But Cal is ultimately a noble-hearted Jedi. Despite all the losses and challenges he endured, the faults of the Jedi and how they were partly to blame for their end, he still believes in the core beliefs of the Jedi.

The dark side is like a drug, you start to lose yourself to it overtime until you don’t even recognize yourself or why you fell in the first place.
Cal and Dagan had almost the same goals for Tanalorr. If only Dagan let go of his anger for the past and focused on the present and future better.
Cause if Dagan and Cal teamed up, I could almost garuntee that Bode wouldn't have done what he did. He would see how the jedi are forming up to protect themselves and ensure a future for themselves, then side with them rather then betray them.

I think it's stupid how the jedi and sith separated the force into "light side" and "dark side." There is only the force and the two religions aren't the only ones who use it, but they sure as hell scoff at anyone else using it in different ways. Many creatures in the Star Wars universe use to the force to survive and live in homeostasis with their environments; creatures who don't have concepts of morality. The Nightsisters used the force, their way called magic, which was extremely effective but Jedi like Mace Windu condescendingly called it "illusion." What I missed most from the Jedi Knight games (with the GOAT Kyle Katarn) was that they taught you that nothing in the force was inherently good or evil but it's how you used it. You could use dark side powers like dark rage, lighting, and choking but use them to save innocents or instead use light side powers like protect, heal, and mind trick to be an untouchable bastard who could get away with whatever vile thing you want. In a third game I would love to see Cal develop a serenity between the "light" and "dark" side of the force and overcome his fear stated at the end of the game by believing that he is enough and that he is truly a good person who is in control.
George Lucas hated grey jedi and grey concepts in general. He has many quotes about the darkside being "Cancer" and you don't live with cancer you either cut it out entirely or it kills you. He's clarified many times that the force is only in balance when every single darkside user is dead but like cancer it can always grow back. He had a very black and white way of thinking.

Force Alchemy is a very dangerous and corrupting use of the force, the more you use it to bend the universe around you, the more it corrupted and altered you.
Palpatine was the most recent Sith that was proficient in force alchemy, hence why, when he started truely using his dark side of the force after being exposed, the disguise dropped and the golden eyes, and withered, wrinkled, ragged, form we recognize him as, is his true form.

I’m not sure that was the Dark Side.
Well, she's dead I believe, and seems like she totally had a relationship with Dagan that was best friend and suggested love interest (haven't played the game yet, so don't quote me on that).
She was also very much in disagreement of his actions, so she chopped his arm off Obi Wan style..
So essentially, a great deal of emotional damage 😜 is expected when using her likeness and having her say words like that. Tanalor may have changed Dagan the same way the dark side corrupted Anakin, but just like Anakin, Dagan is disillusioned as opposed to being evil. He still feels 🥺

Cal’s power level is actually relatively high he beat 2 inquisitors and a few dark jedi
In this game he leveled up quite a bit. His connection with the force is pretty strong and he's mastered some high level shit and most forms of Saber combat
