The shortcut trick for bold cancel volcano is super helpful. I'm glad I watched this early into learning Dante so I didn't learn the less efficient way to do it lol. And the combos are good starters, not too difficult. They actually made me realize that despite Dante's high skill ceiling, you can do less complicated stuff that looks cool as well. I love how the UMVC3 devs didn't sugarcoat it and just straight up did everything to pretty much port Dante from DMC3 into the game. Like, it's really only a few things that're missing. Namely, his shotgun, royal guard, doppelganger and quicksilver are the notable ones I can think off of the top of my head, but it seems like 90% of what you can do in that game is represented here, so it really FEELS like you're playing Dante himself. It's not like most games, where if the crossover character has a huge moveset, you gotta make some major sacrifices and/or adapt him in a way that makes sense for the game, where you then have the risk of making him not actually feel like the original character. Here they didn't give a single fuck about much of anything, and the entire character is essentially here in all his glory.
He uses his shotgun for fireworks, his blocking animation it's also the same as royal guard's, I'd imagine it wasn't included because they didn't think of a way to accurately implement it and counter moves suck for these fast-paced games anyways
One thing I think worth mentioning is how much screen real estate Dante's normals take up. This is important to understand when you need to control spacing between you and your opponent. His Air H has a crazy big hitbox. -- A.T.

Overall, great video! I'd just like to add though that Dante _can_ perform multiple special moves in the air, so incorporating air play into an aerial combo is viable.
@khanage1344 any advice you could offer here's my issue I stinger in to bold cancel but I can't get reverb shock out in enough time I obviously intend to reverb shock to fire works into devil trigger into million dollars I don't want to do the volcano one because the dp motion can be difficult on a game pad

Twister is also an otg drive is also good for mix-ups on certain characters if you teleport right after it giving dante a safe teleport sometimes you can combo it he also gets sn infinite with jam session in the corner if hes at anchor
Dante's 5L(standing light) has almost as little hitstun as his j.L and confirms into 5M very inconsistently. It's better to start combo strings with 5M into 5H>6H>XS.... And j.M is a good box dashing tool in the same vain as j.H Also Prop Shredder sucks so much ass just use normal launcher.
Crazy Dance looks sick, but it's a 2 frame window to do the move, which is extremely hard to do, especially when under pressure. Your reward for this is extremely low damage and a combo that ends, so it's not worth it in the long run lol. If you really want a Crazy Dance combo, try doing the first combo I show in the video, but after Reverb Shock (guitar move on the ground), go into Crazy Dance from there
I team dante and Deadpool and it woks so well dante is great at offensive pressure and Deadpool is the perfect counter balance with his great zoning ability giving you opponent nowhere to run
What's the notation for the first bold cancel? Because I got LMH > 6H Bold Cancel Volcano > jH Air Play jH > land 5HS > Clay Pigeon into Prop Shredder right? I couldn't tell after that. Also, do you have to delay the second jH for landing 5H to land? Because I tried delaying and not delaying and I can't land 5H.
I'm not sure what you mean by the notation for the first Bold Cancel. The combo you listed is correct. I like to delay the second jH do the standing one hits, but it does take some practice to get down.
I sure do! Here's the basics. Your point character is someone who can really benefit from having 2 assists and doesn't need lots of meter, your middle character is someone who doesn't need 2 assists and can hold their own when you're down a character, and your anchor character is someone who doesn't need assists and can be a beast in X-Factor. For example, my team is Wolverine, Dante, Vergil, in that order. I put Wolverine first because he builds meter fast and doesn't use it constantly. He also can't do a solo conversion of his OTG without assists/X-Factor, so I need Dante/Vergil assists to ensure I get a combo. If I had him second or last, his combo potential would be severely hindered. Dante is second because from the get go, I can use his assist to compliment Wolverine with scoring mix-ups and combos. Dante can also double jump or air dash on incoming, so he has movement options should I be coming out from the corner. Vergil is my anchor because with one hit into X-Factor, I can easily kill any character and get my offense going. I know this is a lot, but I hope it helped!
I get this sometimes, too. My advice is to go into training mode, turn your inputs on and see what the problem is exactly. Try to make sure that your down and down-forward inputs are coming out properly

Of course he’s complicated to play, that’s the whole point of his character in the series. Just a way for capcom to test out every silly weapon idea they can think of.
If we ever get a true mvc4 (I'm not counting mvc infinite) we need these 6 capcom characters from: dmc nero and lady,from qnd: saki omokane,and from megaman/rock man X: X,sigma (x1/x2 version since i think this version would have a balnced moveset) and vile. As for marvel we need OG carnage (not ultimate or modern carnage),moon knight,daredevil,the wall as a joke character (yes it's a real marvel character he's a extremely obscure villain),silver samurai,groot,and lastly black panther.
I'd say so! Dante and Vergil are the ultimate combo, and Taskmaster can provide assistance to them with his horizontal assist, high heath, and good DHC potential among other things. I think it's a very solid team

Well royal gaurd is his block animation so that’s technically there
