I heard rumors that it was closed due to being a liability and I also heard someone tried to jump off of it
Never thought about that, next time I get up there I will definitely check it out you could be right. I am for sure curious now. Gives me a good reason to take a trip.
This looks like a beautiful place! My wife and I (Penn State grads) are hoping to ride here this Fall and visit campus on our way through from Virginia. Where do you purchase the permits to ride from? I love that this is open all year long! So many trails in VA and PA close down for hunting - it's a little hard to find a place to ride this time of year.
Mark you can go on line www.SSRT.org and down load the form. They have events during the year such as chicken barbecue pig roast and this Saturday October 8 they are having a raffle with free food and the grand prize is Ranger 1000. We sure like riding there. Check out my video I posted on the Bloody Skillet connector trail. The other neat thing they have some township roads open and you can ride your machines and get something to eat. Any questions just feel free to ask.

Which trailhead did you park and start from? Was that the Elks trailhead in Phillipsburg? I have my sticker from them and want to check it out.
We always park at Gillintown trailhead never went down to the Elks club yet. Hope to ride that way sometime soon.
