Beautiful! I've been there many times. I used to swim at Fuller Lake too. I love that area.
@@TheCandBExperience yes I am very lucky to live like 20 minutes from MICHAUX. I was so fortunate a a kid to get guided tours and hear the history from my Dads friend who worked the CCC camps and was a fire warden at MICHAUX during that time. Hope to meet up with you on the trail sometime.
@ Wow that’s really cool! I’m sure you have some great stories to tell. I do love the Pine Grove Furnace and Caledonia area and I’d love to meet up somewhere and ride this year with you.
That Swedish kid gotta be throwin a fit. "How dare you!"
Got to do this last winter in Spokane. Funski. Now go find a lake to walk around on 😊
Any idea what part of PA?
Yes Perry Juanita Cumberland counties. That was 50 years ago before everything got shut down. We only road the old logging road and made sure we didn’t rip things up we just liked riding slow and enjoying our time in the woods.
Tall skinnies rule!
We had Jeeps with everything from the 401, 360, and the 304! If they were 4 or 6 cylinders we put anything in the Jeep including a 350 Chevy if we couldn't get anything else.
Very cool!
Thanks for watching, my off road content has been lacking lately
Nice little peek into the past.
@@davidkenner-rb8go Thank you
That is a real shame.
MY DAD ALWAYS DROVE HIS STATION WAGONS WITH REAR CHAIN SETS DURING THE 50'S AND 60'S BEFORE THE ASSHOLES OUTLAWED THEM.
This is a small portion of my youth .Great times !
I enjoyed this a lot. Brings back memories of my early years driving wreckers. thanks.
@@freeplayfrank7736 Glad you enjoyed
I put my mom's 60 Chevy Biscayne 4 door in reverse while she was in the market. I backed down a hill. I was 2.

The music selection is perfect.
You're welcome and I enjoyed. #674 Says hello.
Good oh days
Great video. I love old home movies especially if there's cars in them. I loved the 59-60 full size Chevs with the "Batmobile" fins.
@@dekelanson5280 Thank you for watching
That has to be a biscayne, impala had 3 tail lights on each side
Biscayne or BelAir which one??
Being in a GM product is the first problem !
You're the same age as my father you were born in 1948. He is from and I am from Western Pennsylvania so thank you for showing the memories and Pennsylvania footage. Thank you for sharing your life experience with us
All wreckers/ recovery trucks should play this music during the recovery. So calming.🙂
Awesome old movie with color too 👍🏼😎. Post more vintage if you have any people love anything vintage.
@@chriscraft4236 Thank you, we bought a Kodak digitizer and did our own movies, I do have more on my channel and am working on getting more edited. Thanks for watching.
Good camera work for 1st day on the job. Liked the period correct music.Reminded me of the piped in Muzak that played in the grocery store I worked at in high school.
@@richceglinski7543 Thanks it was definitely a challenge to get the F stop settings right back in those days, believe me not all came out that good. LOL
Well, done!! If that had been a modern-day car you would have to look for a new one because it would have been totaled. 🙃
Nice
I would leave the junk today in the over the bank. That’s a pretty nice car but today’s cars I wouldn’t even bother digging it out I’d leave it lol
Nicely done
Now thats team work. Great video. Missed those days back when.
@@christesta2521 Great memories
Years ago I had 2 '53 Chevys -- a pickup and a 4-door sedan. I miss being able to lift the hood and see some street, and being able to do almost everything on them. One wrench size did many things, too.
Old school is cool. 😎 great footage.
Thanks for sharing that! All those folks casually standing around those chains under tension though!
@@jeromereed1097 You got that one right for sure.
Indeed, not to mention the truck looks about to tip over!
Yup that truck was right on the brink of rolling over, they got lucky.
Was that '60 Biscayne ok? Was there any damage to the undercarriage?
@@NetWit20 When we left they did have it running, I pretty sure back in those days as long as it ran and moved it would have been driven away. LOL
Yes it’s a 60 Biscayne
Just did mine today🤦♂️
Well done...
Wow...takes me back to the days when I had a 53 Pontiac and my buddy had a 54 Chev....those things were absolute beasts....fun in the snow and mud!
@@TheWolfsnack For sure just think if positraction would have been an option back in those days.
This reminds me of the time back in 1964 when I was 17. I got badly stuck while driving with some friends on a trail that started out as a road in my parents' 62 Impala. I hitched a ride to my father's construction yard and got a big front end loader, drove it to where the car was and with one of my buddies driving the car, I easily pulled it out of the mud. I really impressed my friends.
@@randallfrank5682 Great memories 👍
It certainly helped that your dad owned a construction company AND YOU knew how to use the equipment! Impressive!
Im glad those batwings did not go hurling into the rear-end of that 2 ton Studebaker truck........would have taken a bit of elbow grease to rub out the blue marks on the Studebaker's flatbed. Amazing that the 60 Chevy sold for about $2,500 new, and today its worth about $30,000. Back when Eisehnower was still in office, and JFK had not yet been assasinated by the evil Deepstate.
nice
That thing is killing it!
