I love this. As a plus sized person you said to make 2 panels and sew them together. What stitch would you recommend please?
thank you so much!!! I always sew my panels together with a slip stitch, but you can also use a mattress stitch which is more seamless. just try to make sure you slip stitch along one row for a more seamless look!!

Hi Mary!!! I would recommend 4mm knitting needles for this project but not 100% sure because I haven't hand knit this myself!
is there any way i could make it more flare out at the bottom?

hi! when you switch colors do u tie the yarn together or how do u add the new yarn?
hi!!! sometimes I tie the yarn together if I'm feeling lazy but you can also switch yarns at the end of the row (either side) by just taking out the old yarn and placing new yarn in the feeder!!! When you crank, the needles pull the new yarn down
Loveeee this !! I attempted to make this following ur exact instructions but noticed from early on the edges (44 and 3) are alot looser than yours. Any tips?
oh no!!! it might be bc of tension when you turn your row, make sure to hold that yarn a little tighter when you turn your rows so it's tighter!!
@lilyfoubisou I also came across alot of drop stitches and when I try to save them the whole thing comes apart. I'm an advance crocheter but notice when using the sentro ALOT more patience and attention is needed😔
Would it look good with a slit if you hem around the space left out or would it just not work at all ?
That's a good Q!!! I would try blocking the pieces and then do a slit with a hem around it, it might lay normally then! but I'm not totally sure

How do you decrease Or increase stitches to make the dress fit at different body parts like hip and waist?
for this particular pattern I can't do increases because I'm using the maximum amount of stitches in the panel setting! but you absolutely can do increases & decreases on the sentro. I would search it on youtube, it would be hard to explain in a comment but it's really straightforward!!

you can do less! just make sure the final rows of waste yarn don't unravel

How are the rows counted? Is one row to the left and then another to the right counter as one or two?
that would be two rows! every pass you do on your panel is one row :)

No worries!!! It's for a size XS-M! If you need a larger size you can follow the same tutorial but make two panels for the front and two for the back

I used to count them and right the number down, but you can actually buy a row counter on amazon!!
How many more grams of yarn would full length sleeves add?
probably about 200g 🤔
How do you count your rows & why do you do so many rows of waste yarn?
I use a row counter app on my phone! every swipe left or right = 1 row. :) And I do that to make sure my body work is secure and the waste yarn doesn't unravel to it!!! you can do less rows of waste yarn on the cast on edge of the project because it will not unravel, but on the cast off side the yarn isn't secure. It's totally up to you :)

I use a panel setting row counter from Amazon!! This is the one I bought amzn.to/3p1xtiA
Man i wish these machines existed in bigger versions so my plus size ass could make some of these too
I also realize i could do 4 panels, but i dont think i could ever make it look as seamless as yours
@@doembarrassingbetter ugh i know im sorry!!! There are like industrial knitting machines that are a lot bigger but they're literally so expensive but I totally get it its hard to make two panels look seamless

Look for a bond ultimate sweater machine second hand! They're a basic plastic flatbed that will give you more options for sizing without seaming

I totally get it!!! There’s a learning curve with it for sure. My mini dress tutorial might help with troubleshooting the panel setting!!! I go super into detail about it there
Is it not too thin when using panels? Tubes would make it thicker so undies don't show through lol
omg thats a super interesting idea!!! they're slightly sheer but if you use two panels for example and they don't stretch on your body they're not very sheer at all!!
@Lily Foubisou yeh 2 panels maytress stitched together would be roughly the same width as 1 full panel. It wouldn't be as sheer and they wouldn't curl at the edges either

Lily, I like your tutorials, but remember there are many like myself who are plus size and one panel is not going to fit a bustier figure. Anyway you could do a tutorial for same dress in a large size? Thx

I totally hear you!!! I know this is not size inclusive at all, I have just been making things in my size bc of limited time on my part but I never want to exclude anyone from my tutorials!!! I will definitely look into making a tutorial for larger sizes! In the meantime I would recommend following the same tutorial but using two panels for the front of the dress and two for the back of the dress! Unfortunately the machine only has 48 needles so you would have to have a front and back middle seam for any larger sizes :/ but there are flat bed knitting machines that are much more flexible in terms of sizing that I want to get into

omg nooo hahaha! Did you do 410 rows? if so, it should be long enough (I'm 5'9" and it's perfect for me!) The panels stretch out and can be very deceiving when they aren't assembled!!! If not, it can be really tricky but you can put the panel back on the machine...i do it by putting a stitch marker in each stitch and meticulously putting them back on each stitch of the machine. there might be a video on how to do that!!!

Whats waste yarn and it’s purpose?
waste yarn is throwaway yarn you knit at the beginning and end of your panels to have the cleanest edge on your finished project! When you make a panel on the sentro, the first row is always looser and jankier looking than the rest so the waste yarn allows u to unravel until a neater row

This is so confusing, how come you have 2 pegs without yarn during the start of the video when cranking your waste yarn and then 5 pegs without yarn magically appear after you’ve finished cranking the waste yarn???
When you work in the panel mode the first few stitches always drop off. If you follow the tutorial it will come out the exact same as mine 😊
