The axe scene is one of my fav Deckerstar scenes in this season. It is so emotional and was done so well by the both of actors 👍👏🔥💞 Fun fact that Linda's pregnancy wasn't on script, the actress was really pregnant during the filming. It was unexpected so writers decided to put it into the story
Even if one is not a religious person, meeting the real devil face to face, I'm assuming would change one's mind about the existence of God and Heaven.

Linda saw his face, she actually fucked the guy, but she didn't grab the pitchforks to kill him. For smo as smart as Chloe thinks she is, she was very easily manipulated. Hell it took her just a couple of month to sleep with Cain himself 😒 She knows Maze is a demon, and Lucifer has a brother, which makes amanediel an angel, that's the closest to heaven she can get, ask him. Not priests who claim to serve God, but the vast majority of them have always proven they serve a corrupt institution that's lost the way of God centuries ago.

She lived with a demon who could've killed her and Trixie however she wanted, instead chose to play with the kid, and helped Chloe get justice for her father's killer. That alone should tell her smths not right with this guy's story based on a book written by men claimed to be the word of god
As painful as it was, Chloe's reaction felt very genuine. She found out that the man she fell in love with was an actual devil. And although Lucifer has always told her the truth, finding out that all this really exists is a lot. At times like this, everyone has the right to get scared, doubt everything he has ever believed in, and be easily manipulated by someone like father Kinley. Chloe, of course, still had her doubts and wasn't sure what was true or what was a lie. The sight of Lucifer leaving the burning building confused her even more. After all, she had seen him bleed and be injured more than once. How is it possible that nothing happened to him this time? With that in mind Chloe began to believe that Lucifer was actually manipulating her all the time. Only learning the truth that she's making him vulnerable allowed her to make the final (good) decision.

It just annoys me she lost it and went to the Vatican for answers where a freaking angel named amanediel is right there 😑 the last time she was this stupid she almost married Cain himself after knowing him just for a few months. She even asks him if he eats children, meanwhile Trixie still alive in the next room after all this time. The fear is understandable, her actions are not. She almost poisoned him.

She wanted to find facts to make up her mind and the only place to find out about heaven, hell, the devil,... is in religion (it's not like there is a science book on it)! This priest showed up immediately after she saw Luci and was crazy confused/scared and he took advantage of that and manipulated her for a month (and he was the only one she could talk to, since she didn't know Linda knew). In my opinion her struggle is shown (and portrayed) perfectly, she is torn between the person she knows and what everyone (and all the books, articles) say about him... and she doesn't know what to believe!!

I reckon with axe guy Chloe was letting him talk and think he had the upper hand - she knew he'd brought an axe to a gunfight and so she just let him incriminate himself knowing she had the advantage (but for sure, the meta reason is the writers needed Lucifer to put himself in harm's way for her). Good episode this one, lots occurring. (one of the little bits I love is when Linda tells Amenadiel she's pregnant and the woman who's been chatting him up slowly "Exits stage left" in the background - the actress has like 2 lines but she plays that moment to perfection IMO)
Chloe's _"I'm sorry",_ in my opinion, was for more than just causing him to bleed with the axe. This is the beginning of the theme of this season, which I call _"Chloe's Redemption"._ Buckle up!
9:15 every season Lucifer would put himself in harm's way to protect Chole (1st season with Malcolm, 2nd season literally going to hell, 3rd season-ending with his wings, and now in front of a flying axe), so he already did protect Chole again and again. I get that Chloe wasn't religious before, but now that she KNOWS it is real, and that God and the Devil exists, I don't find it strange that she would turn to religious texts and religious leaders for answers and guidance. It is only natural that it would make her do so, and that she is questioning everything she THOUGHT she knew before she was proven wrong about this one GIANT thing. As an atheist I would LIKE to think I would be more open minded and believe in the man I had come to know and love, but I can't be sure I would. I mean, there is just SO much baggage that comes with the terms "the Devil" and "Hell" that it would probably be hard to not at least be a little scared and questioning how the monster everyone makes the Devil out to be fits with the man you love, and whether a lot it was an act or a lie on his part. All in all, even if I WOULD turn out to act less fearfully, and doubt less than Chloe, I would still in NO way blame her for her reaction. It breaks my heart to see her questioning what she has with Lucifer, and even contemplating sending helping to send him back to hell, but I understand where she is coming from. The only reason I blamed Chloe for the issues of the season was because of her ignoring her instincts and ignoring what Lucifer was saying. He gave her so many chances to back out of the date and she made sure the date happened, in police terms that's entrapment, not evidence of a crime

For the axe throw scene, yes chloe has a gun, but it was on her holster By the time she gets her gun, the axe probably would have been thrown anyway so the "axe throwing is slower than guns" conversation is useless. The only reason Deckerstar didn't get hurt is because the axe throw was very inaccurate (or the axe did hit lucifer and made the trajectory change, which i doubt)

Chloe is the main reason he stays on earth. If she is involved in sending him back to hell, it's possible that he would feel betrayed and not want to return.
If Lucifer dies he does go back to hell, and he is vulnerable when near Chloe so poison will work just as well as bullet which already sent him back once. Coming back would probably be the betrayal explanation.

This seasons arc really tries to point out how the various churches in the western world tried their darndest to get the series cancelled Even had a minor falling out with my parents who are avid church goers, who steadfastly refuse to accept even the merest possibility that reality and fiction are seperate, and that the message of the show is NOT “glorifying the devil” It’s the same reason why when on trains or costed in the street by preachers - “what are your beliefs?” “My beliefs are my own. Why would you ask?” “Don’t you care if your believing the right thing?” “That you ask THAT shows clearly you aren’t the followers of the “right” thing…as you have closed your minds through BLIND OPTIMISM faith, as opposed to open eyed tested faith…” Simply put, religion claims to be about bringing people together, but it’s one of the most divisive and polarising forces in the world…because people automatically default into “if you don’t agree with me then you are followers of evil Whereas me, I do believe there is “something” beyond this life…what specifically…I’ll find out when I cross that threshold, then I’ll see what the answer is rather than fighting like children over who is correct when in all probability we’ve ALL got it wrong…so why dispute it?

And on top of all that Luci's a good person, but he also has a dark side, he really killed Pierce and he really ran hell (where people are tortured) and he really talks about wanting to punish people (who then end up in the nut house like that guy from the pilot)... it's shown how conflicted she is about all this, she just doesn't know what to believe and is scared out of her mind!
Of course Lucifer loves Chloe and he isn't evil, noone would die twice just so one human can live.
The only reason I blamed Chloe for the issues of the season was because of her ignoring her instincts and ignoring what Lucifer was saying. He gave her so many chances to back out of the date and she made sure the date happened, in police terms that's entrapment, not evidence of a crime

For the axe throw scene, yes chloe has a gun, but it was on her holster
By the time she gets her gun, the axe probably would have been thrown anyway so the "axe throwing is slower than guns" conversation is useless.
The only reason Deckerstar didn't get hurt is because the axe throw was very inaccurate (or the axe did hit lucifer and made the trajectory change, which i doubt)
The next two episodes are the ones I just can't... Anyway, brace yourself!

I don't belive Lucifer can be forced back to hell with some potion. I mean even Amenadiel Gods finest couldn't sent him back, but a random priest with a poison can?! Also if they can send Lucy back to hell what stops him from comming back again
Chloe is the main reason he stays on earth. If she is involved in sending him back to hell, it's possible that he would feel betrayed and not want to return.
If Lucifer dies he does go back to hell, and he is vulnerable when near Chloe so poison will work just as well as bullet which already sent him back once.
Coming back would probably be the betrayal explanation.

This seasons arc really tries to point out how the various churches in the western world tried their darndest to get the series cancelled
Even had a minor falling out with my parents who are avid church goers, who steadfastly refuse to accept even the merest possibility that reality and fiction are seperate, and that the message of the show is NOT “glorifying the devil”
It’s the same reason why when on trains or costed in the street by preachers - “what are your beliefs?”
“My beliefs are my own. Why would you ask?”
“Don’t you care if your believing the right thing?”
“That you ask THAT shows clearly you aren’t the followers of the “right” thing…as you have closed your minds through BLIND OPTIMISM faith, as opposed to open eyed tested faith…”
Simply put, religion claims to be about bringing people together, but it’s one of the most divisive and polarising forces in the world…because people automatically default into “if you don’t agree with me then you are followers of evil
Whereas me, I do believe there is “something” beyond this life…what specifically…I’ll find out when I cross that threshold, then I’ll see what the answer is rather than fighting like children over who is correct when in all probability we’ve ALL got it wrong…so why dispute it?
