That's a true makeup artist right there, showing how thin layers and minimal amount of product can make you look radiant. Not another cakey overloaded look. BRAVO 👏
Yes absolutely yes on that comment. I just watched a video with a young lady who started off gorgeous and went totally backwards with every layer she applied. She covered her beauty with too much makeup
She is the finest example of makeup artist vs makeup influencer. She enhances what’s already there without using a heavy mask ( and I mean no shade, if you like heavy makeup, more power to you 🤗) but I love this.
OMG LISA YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR TUTORIALS ON GLOSSY EYES. I'm absolutely ecstatic that you uploaded a tutorial because all the makeup techniques (and products that are available here) that I use are ALL what you've taught. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I hope you have a lovely week ahead ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh... my... God! Am I the only one who noticed that you used one of Clio's liquid lipsticks? I am SO amazed to see that my muse and favorite make-up artist supports my favorite italian make-up artist! ❤️
No matter the video or year it was posted, the makeup is always effortless and timeless. I still love your Biba looks. Please share any new vintage discoveries you've made.
Lisa please do an updated "all time favourites" video - it would be nice to know which remain the favourites in your kit/personal bag and which are the new additions worthy of the Eldridge hall of fame :-)
OMG Lisa - I am so pleased you replied :-) Yay to the video - I've followed you from the beginning so remember the all time faves video - an updated one would be be brill! xx
Lisa Eldridge THIS is a BRILLIANT idea!!!! I would LOVE to know what products a true makeup artist considers their tried and trues. Not to mention an icon like Lisa!!! Such a great idea!
Lisa, I doubt you will see this but i had to say how much we as makeup enthusiasts, appreciate you sharing your expertise and knowledge with all of us. You are a fantastic teacher and keep things realistic, that we, everyday people, can achieve. Thank you again, from all of us!!!!!❤❤❤
WOW Lisa, you must have been reading my mind.....thank you! Was searching for a way to achieve this natural looking glossy eye. Always love your tutorials. There is such an ELEGANCE to your application of makeup! Always looking forward to seeing your new videos. Xoxo
Thank you so much! It’s so refreshing to see a professional makeup artist use a combination of drugstore and high-end makeup while keeping the look youthful and simple. Great tutorial!
I love these types of looks so much, exactly because it looks kind of editorial, yet kind of effortless and fresh at the same time. Thank you for all the tips Lisa ! I will definitely try them next time I try to achieve a glossy eye look.
so refreshing to see someone use paint pots other than soft ochre and painterly - i think the other shades in the line are severely underrated & insanely useful. love this look Lisa xx
Wow this looks so pretty! I wonder if with my hooded eyes, the lids will feel like they are sticking? Such a beautiful look on you! Thanks for sharing!
Lisa, thank you so much for continuing what you do. I feel like my favorite beauty channels disappear or they change a lot, but you've remained constant, informative, and wonderful. Please continue exactly how you're doing. XxOo
I ❤LOVE❤Lisa so much. She is an inspiration for beauty, class, and poise. Lisa's channel has been around for years, almost 8 years giving us insight on how to enhance our beauty. I'm 25 and I love your approach in *less is more* even though my generation is obsessed with heavy layers of makeup. Thank you, Lisa. *You're an inspiration* .
Love love looooooove it! About to try it 🙈 you’re such an inspiration 100% one of my favourite channels here on youtube ❤️ I love how natural yet beautiful your looks are! X
Love the coral nails and peach look, perfect for spring! I don't think I'm bold enough for gloss but I think you've presented a practical and accessible technique!
I love glossy eye look, that almost water-like shimmer in the centre of the lid. So glad you have a tutorial on an everyday version of it. Beautiful and wearable! Love it!! Thank you :)
OMG Lisa! I often wear pink & peach toned eye make up. This is a brilliant twist! Will hunt for a good eye gloss. People are using tons of glittery highlighter & glitters on the the eyes. This is a subtle kind of sheen. So love this look! Read about you & your book on the history of make up-- Face Paint. Can't wait to check it out.
It might be a little out of place but I just wanted to tell you how happy I was to see you featuring one of Clio makeup products! She is just a fantastic woman and I know she's a great fan of you, she must be really proud 😊
Never thought the glossy look was for me but this looks absolutely stunning! Awesome video as always and you definitely changed my mind on this trend! x
Omg you're using Clio's liquid lipsticks!! That's so amazing! And donating the money to charity is just awesome too, so thoughtful, I've never seen anyone do this! I love how professional and gracious you are!
I absolutely adore Lisa’s minimalist techniques, proving that less is more. Love this look, definitely gonna try this out! Also just realizing she reminds me a lot of Lana Del Rey
Jessica Louise I saw a brilliant one on a blog called " pretty is my profession ". Google her. It's the nicest one I have seen for glass skin. I ended up buying the products she used.
This type of look was very popular round the millenium when I was in high school. I was always trying it out back then but it never really worked. And it's such a cool look very different and fresh. Love it Lisa! Thanks a lot, the teenager in me is so happy :)
Hi Lisa. Could you possibly do a tutorial for extremely oily skin? My makeup separates on my face and I've tried so many different ways to control my oil without success. I have acne too so it's a double whammy.
You'll need to modify your skincare routine too. An esthetician can help you find the best routine for you which will makeup application much easier and it will wear better.
I have skin like yours. Plz look for products that do not contain SLS (Sodium laureth sulfate, which isn't good for oily, acne rosacea skin types) and alcohol. I no longer get red and blotchy skin post washing my face and going through my skin care routine, plus my skin no longer gets tight, dry and itchy throughout the day, because SLS and alcohol actually are too harsh for our skin that it over-strips the skin of natural oil, which causes the skin to over-produce oil. Checkout brands like REN, super facialist and green people as these brands have helped my skin. It's best if you stick to using a gentle cream face wash for everyday use, gently pat your face dry with a face towel, also gently pat on a pea sized blob of a mosituriser all over your face. Only use a face mask or exfoliating face wash once a week. All this is so that your skin isn't stripped too much of oil. Of course drinking plenty of water throughout the day, especially 1 or two glasses on an empty stomach in the morning and consuming less sugar throughout the day really help with breakouts. Before applying makeup, blot your skin with a clean tissue or makeup blotter to remove any excessive oil produced from your moisturiser before going in with makeup, and apply a good primer all over your skin. Let the primer set for at least 5 mins before going in with foundation, so maybe do your eye-makeup in the time you are waiting for the primer to set down. Hope all these tips help as they have helped me, and I have literally sensitive, rosacea, oily, acne an dry skin all at once. Keep a very simple skin care regimen instead of overloading your skin with too much and too many products. BTW toner is completely unnecessary for our skin, but an amazing one I have found that makes my skin glowy, soft and bright is the ren ready steady glow aha tonic. Ren skincare is better purchased from allbeauty at a reduced price as it's a pretty pricey brand but they are very conscious about the type of ingredients they put into their products. Again, toner isn't necessary, but this ren one is fantastic if like many acne sufferers your skin feels very textured, tight and gets dryness due to over-washing skin to reduce oil.
I love Cliomakeup lipsticks!!!!! They are incredibly comfortable and long lasting!!!! This nude is amazing, I also have the red one and it is stunning!!!!!!
Cannot wait to watch another video of yours! Also cannot wait for more green/clean makeup tutorials - I love you showing us everyday makeup that is not toxic for us and for the environment! Hugs from Italy
Who are the two people who gave this video a thumbs down? 😱It's a 17 minute video and she only posted it 10 minutes ago. You absolute heathens, show yourselves! 👊😋
I have attempted the glossy lid look for years with awful results, so thank you for showing us your technique, Lisa! Do you think that I could use the Jillian Dempsey Dew Lid Tint instead of the Kevyn Aucoin eye gloss?
Genuine Glow The Jillian dempsey ones creased on me, sadly 😔I bought it after Lisa used them in a tutorial. I bought the bronzed and lilac, both creased.
SusanneFlora They creased horribly on me too. I think any glossy eye is best on large wide lids and for editorial shoots. The MAC one does stay all day so I’ll def try that under the gloss!
I loved this video, lovely as always! I’ve been drawn to the glossy eye look but have been too timid to try it, maybe I’ll have to brave it now after this tutorial! I’m glad you added the pink to the lids, I have brown hair and eyes as well and think pink is so flattering against it. Also, I’ve finally gotten around to reading your book Face Paint, I’m almost done and have loved it, the history is so fascinating. I’m always reading something in fiction but have never been one to read non-fiction but your book has been quite the page-turner, I love the story and the history and of course the photos are a treat!
TH-cam makeup is simple: u put your head inside a bucket of foundation and conceler and end up looking a 60 year old drag queen... Lisa is one of the 2-3 real makeup artists in youtube
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this kind of make up! I've been waiting for this tutorial for so long! Thank you for all the tips, Lisa! OMG, this is so helpful I can't even describe! 😍😍😍😍

Hello Lisa, I love your tutorials and they are so helpful I keep watching them over and over again. Will you please be so kind to do a full look using Colourpop products? Thank you!
i love how casual yet totally beautiful you look :) you are definitely an inspiration for my personal style. just naturally beautiful with a little bit of makeup effort but you are such a lovely person and that is what is the most apparent
What a stunning look! The Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blushes are my all time favorites - they give such a beautiful veil of color on the cheeks which don’t budge and really last all day, even when the weather is really hot. The overall look is so fresh and original - simply gorgeous. It’s been a long time that I didn’t put any eyeshadow on but I decided that this is going to be my makeup tomorrow! 😁 Thank you so much for this tutorial, Lisa! x Davie
chtitmog there is a gorgeous colour available on Beauty and the Boutique that is exclusive to them called "Glow" & is divine! I have nearly every Daniel Sandler shade and that is one of my favourites for a go to natural look.
Wow, Lisa ! This look is amazing 💖 I’m so happy that you upload more frequently ! I have a suggestion, what about makeup look inspired by your rings ? Love you xx

Please may do a glass skin tutorial?
Jessica Louise I saw a brilliant one on a blog called " pretty is my profession ". Google her. It's the nicest one I have seen for glass skin. I ended up buying the products she used.

Hi Lisa. Could you possibly do a tutorial for extremely oily skin? My makeup separates on my face and I've tried so many different ways to control my oil without success. I have acne too so it's a double whammy.
San you can search her acne tutorial as well as her pin point concealing and best foundations for oily skin.
San try to use magnesia Milk.
