- The long-awaited (by us anyway) return of the Berklee College of Music Spring 2020 Scar Symmetry ensemble is here!! For those who don't know, my last semester in college, my good friend Manuel Barbará and I co-lead a Scar Symmetry directed study ensemble, under the direction of David Marvuglio. Due to Covid, it was cut short, and we had planned to make videos of all the songs in our set. Of course, after graduation, life happened, and it got pushed to the back-burner a little, but we have returned! I'm so honored to be able to work with all of these talented people, and we're all super proud of the final cover. We're finishing up the third cover right now as well, so be on the lookout!

great performance! You guys certainly are the real deal. I was kind of nerding out over those groovy instruments too. amazing players. cool video & nice production. It's cool you can pull this stuff off in the crazy germ world we find ourselves in. Dig it! Rock on! 👍
Everything but the harsh vocals are great. Would love to see you all give this another shot with another vocalist that can pull off the type of vocals harsh that Christian Älvestam or even Roberth Karlsson use for Scar Symmetry. Not saying the harsh vocalist is bad cause I think his style would be better suited for a different band cover.

yes, please. Unless the talented young lady doing Lars' clean vocalization, tightens it up just a bit. Then, it would be perfect. Nonetheless I was impressed by the entire performance. I have a bad feeling that the guy who did the rough vocals, lip synched the whole thing. No way does anyone do that while looking like he is singing for a boy band. Besides, there is no physical sign at all that he is actually performing those vocals.

As I see it... The harsh vocalist Theo Chaoua seems to think that the video is for a boyband xD Haha.. The body language is so off xD Although I think he did a great job. It seems the timing is off for him at some points, but he sounds good and did an overall great job. The cleans by Thalia Tymowski really worked well. I really enjoyed the post production of it as well. Not only did the harmonies sound great, but also the effects where her samples are cut and re-aligned - or how a sound technician would put it... I dunno. Great job though, thats my point :D
